The piece of concrete was about the size of half a ping-pong ball, almost identical to the piece of meat.
After this incident, the couple in the restaurant immediately became upset, slamming their chopsticks on the table and loudly calling for the waiter.
“Waiter! What’s going on here? Is this the hygiene standard of your restaurant?”
Before the waiter and manager could rush over, large chunks of concrete suddenly started falling from the ceiling. Everyone looked up and saw terrifying cracks spreading across it.
“Oh no! Run, everyone! The restaurant’s collapsing!”
Someone shouted at the top of their lungs, and that cry was like a spark igniting a fuse.
In an instant, the entire restaurant froze for a moment before erupting into chaos.
People began fleeing in panic, turning the restaurant into a complete mess.
Kang Kang, seeing this, was naturally delighted. Using his transparent threads to clear a path, he easily cut through a section of the wall and escaped.
Xu Fei, with his clairvoyant vision active, had seen everything unfold.
“Stop right there!”
As Xu Fei shouted, Le Le was still wondering who her father was talking to.
Suddenly, the ceiling began to collapse, and a massive chunk of concrete came crashing down, startling the nearby diners who were too stunned to flee.
Xu Fei sighed, thinking he’d have to prioritise saving people first.
No longer hiding his strength, he raised his fist and shattered the large piece of concrete ceiling with a single punch.
“What are you standing there for? Don’t you value your lives? Run!”
Xu Fei’s shout snapped the dazed people out of their stupor, and they hurriedly fled through the restaurant’s entrance.
From then on, Xu Fei threw himself fully into rescuing people, holding the line until professional rescuers arrived.
“Le Le, be good, it’s time to go!”
With his clairvoyant vision, Xu Fei saw a rescue team rushing in downstairs. He scooped up Le Le and slipped out through the exit Kang Kang had created.
“Daddy, why aren’t we leaving through the entrance? And where’s Kang Kang?”
Le Le, unaware of the situation, was still worried about Kang Kang.
“Don’t worry, it’s fine. I saw Kang Kang run out through the entrance earlier. Let’s call it a day, and we’ll eat out again next time!”
Le Le nodded obediently, and Xu Fei took her to the parking lot to head home.
Meanwhile, Kang Kang was hiding in the chaotic crowd at the mall. He had roughly figured out that Xu Fei had clairvoyant abilities.
After escaping the restaurant, he thought he could hide in a blind spot where no one would find him.
But to his surprise, the more he tried to slip into those impossible-to-see corners, the closer Xu Fei seemed to get.
It felt as if Xu Fei was tracking him by scent.
Especially Xu Fei’s gaze—despite being hundreds of metres away, whenever Xu Fei looked in Kang Kang’s direction, it felt like he had locked onto him directly.
The overwhelming fear that surged from head to toe terrified Kang Kang.
With no other choice, he resorted to another tactic, blending into the surging crowd in the mall, constantly shifting his hiding spots.
Finally, when Kang Kang sensed that Le Le’s father’s presence had vanished from the mall, he felt a slight sense of relief.
