Absolute God Chapter 2281 - LiddRead

Absolute God Chapter 2281

Lin Yun quickened his pace while remaining vigilant of his surroundings.

This spiritual treasury was most likely created by an immortal from over a hundred thousand years ago. This person carved out a space entirely their own, inaccessible to other immortals.

A hundred thousand years is an extraordinarily long time. According to ancient texts Lin Yun had read, the current structure of the cultivation continent was formed a few tens of thousands of years ago, after the last great war between the human and demon races.

The four great emperors also rose to prominence during that war.

In other words, the history of the four great empires spans only a few tens of thousands of years.

Before that was the ancient period of chaotic warfare between the demon and human races, an extremely tumultuous and terrifying era. The entire continent was constantly engulfed in conflict, with powerful figures from both races rising and falling at any moment.

The ancient chaotic war lasted at least several hundred thousand years. During this long period, sometimes humans held the upper hand, controlling most of the continent, while at other times, demons dominated, compressing human territories to a tiny fraction. Even some powerful races from the endless seas intervened in different factions at various times.

Today, records of that era are scarce, found only in a few ancient texts with limited details.

It was an utterly chaotic period, yet also a time when heroes emerged in droves.

What is certain is that there were many formidable human and demon powerhouses back then. Both sides knew that defeat meant extinction, so under this pressure, everyone cultivated desperately. The natural cultivation resources in ancient times were even more abundant than they are now.

However, due to incessant wars, powerhouses kept falling.

This spiritual treasury, from over a hundred thousand years ago, undoubtedly belonged to an immortal from the ancient chaotic war period.

Because that era was so chaotic, when human strength waned, their territories could be swallowed up by more than half. Humans in those annexed regions would naturally face slaughter by the demon race.

Thus, some powerful immortals created low-material spaces like this one, relocating their entire clans here to build a world of their own. This ensured their people would not be massacred by demons due to lost territories and allowed their clans to prosper.

Lin Yun moved at a steady pace; though each leisurely step seemed slow, it covered several miles.

In just a short while, Lin Yun had travelled over a hundred kilometres. He could move faster if needed, but to stay alert to his surroundings, he maintained this speed.

The spiritual treasury’s area was vast, practically a miniature world.

Lin Yun knew that creating such a large, stable space for over a hundred thousand years was no small feat.

The immortal who crafted this miniature space must have possessed terrifying strength, undoubtedly among the most powerful of immortals!

However, ravaged by time, this space had become unstable, which is why the spiritual treasury had revealed itself. It likely wouldn’t last much longer—perhaps a few years, perhaps a few decades—before this miniature world collapsed entirely into nothingness.

“This place seems to have experienced war over a hundred thousand years ago.”

As Lin Yun moved swiftly through the treasury, he frequently noticed traces of ancient battles.

“Logically, no one above the immortal level should be able to enter this miniature world. So what caused the battles that took place here?” Lin Yun wondered.

He paused to examine a battle mark.

“These traces… they’re not entirely human. Could it be that the demon race once invaded this place?” Lin Yun was startled.

What exactly happened here over a hundred thousand years ago was impossible to verify.

Many things were beyond Lin Yun’s ability to predict or even know.

Yet seeing these traces made Lin Yun feel increasingly insignificant in this world. In the vast river of time, he could only leave faint marks for a brief period.

Even if he could make a name for himself across the continent now, who would remember him tens or hundreds of thousands of years later?

Just like the creator of this miniature world, who must have been an extraordinarily powerful figure over a hundred thousand years ago, yet now, no one even knew who they were.

“Master, head left!”

The voice of Bai Ze Beast, Little White, suddenly echoed in Lin Yun’s mind.

The Bai Ze Beast, with its innate knowledge of all things, had a natural sensitivity to treasures nurtured by heaven and earth.

Hearing Little White’s guidance, Lin Yun’s spirits lifted.

If Little White spoke up, it must have sensed something.

“Little White, this way?” Lin Yun pointed to the left.

“Yes, that direction. There should be something there, Master. You should check it out,” the Bai Ze Beast said.

“Good!”

Lin Yun immediately picked up his pace, rushing toward the direction Little White indicated.

Along the way, Lin Yun distantly spotted a couple of figures—teams that had entered to hunt for treasures.

After travelling roughly a thousand miles, a massive lake appeared before Lin Yun. Its waters were like silver syrup, bubbling and gurgling.

“What are those?”

Lin Yun noticed lotus-shaped objects floating on the lake, bearing fruits within!

Though Lin Yun had read many ancient texts and could identify many rare items, he couldn’t recognise these.

“Master, those are Ksitigarbha Bodhi Fruits!” Little White’s voice rang in Lin Yun’s mind.

“Ksitigarbha Bodhi Fruits?”

Lin Yun murmured, vaguely recalling the name from ancient texts, though with little detail.

“Master, Ksitigarbha Bodhi Fruits only grow in specific environments. They’re considered heavenly treasures, though not especially rare,” Little White explained.

Then, its tone shifted: “But these Ksitigarbha Bodhi Fruits seem to be over a hundred thousand years old! Fruits of such age are nothing short of peerless treasures. You’d never find them outside. If you consume them, Master, they’ll greatly strengthen your physical body!” Little White said.

“Really?” Lin Yun licked his dry lips, his gaze burning with excitement.

This spiritual treasury, sealed for over a hundred thousand years, had allowed these heavenly treasures to grow undisturbed for that entire time.

Lin Yun carefully counted: there were eight Ksitigarbha Bodhi Fruits on the silver lake’s surface!

Outside, these would be priceless. Resources in the outside world were constantly harvested, and items over ten thousand years old were exceedingly rare, let alone ones of this age!

Fruits of this age were virtually nonexistent outside, their rarity making them invaluable.

A single Ksitigarbha Bodhi Fruit of over a hundred thousand years could drive even immortals to fight shamelessly for it!

And here, there were eight of them!

Lin Yun’s heart raced. This was a fortune!
