“I couldn’t create such an array, but repairing it? There’s a chance. I’ll take it back and study it. It’ll take some time,” Du Yuanzi said.
“Thank you, Senior Du Yuanzi,” Lin Yun said politely, bowing.
“No trouble at all. Studying its array will benefit me too,” Du Yuanzi smiled.
He added, “Oh, Lin Yun, the teleportation array will be ready tomorrow.”
“Really? That’s great!” Lin Yun’s eyes brightened.
“I’ll head back to work on it, aiming to have it ready for you tomorrow,” Du Yuanzi said, leaving with the metal bear.

Just as Du Yuanzi left, the butler rushed in frantically.

“You punk, I know all about what happened. Surviving the soul-severing poison and waking up—that’s no small feat. You’re something else,” Little Green Dragon said, patting Lin Yun’s back.
“I’m not that easy to take down, but sadly, I’m a cripple now,” Lin Yun said with a bitter smile, shaking his head.
The thought stung his heart.
Though the Chaos Heart, the top ancient sacred artifact, might cleanse the poison, it had been missing for over a hundred thousand years. The odds of finding it were slim.
But with Little Green Dragon’s arrival, a joyful occasion, Lin Yun adjusted his mood and smiled.

“Godfather,” Ke Xin said sweetly.
“Good girl, let Godfather hold you,” Little Green Dragon said, picking her up.
Ke Xin was a bit shy around strangers.
“Ke Xin, when you grow up, Godfather will take you to the dragon clan to play, okay?” Little Green Dragon said with a smile.
“The dragon clan? In the Endless Sea? Daddy says it’s dangerous,” Ke Xin said, her face full of innocence.
“The dragon clan rules the Endless Sea. With your Godfather, it’s completely safe!” Little Green Dragon said confidently, patting his chest.
“That’s awesome!” Ke Xin beamed.
“Ke Xin, come to Mommy. Let Godfather and Daddy talk,” Yu Ying said, clapping her hands.
“Ke Xin, Godfather will play with you later. I need to talk with your dad,” Little Green Dragon said, setting her down.
“Brother Yun, you guys chat,” Yu Ying said, leading Ke Xin away, clearly wanting to shield her from serious matters.
After they left, Lin Yun gestured. “Little Green Dragon, sit.”
He poured tea.
“Lin Yun, I’m glad to see you’re not giving up,” Little Green Dragon said, picking up his cup.
He’d been upset hearing about Lin Yun’s situation, worried about how he’d cope with the fall from genius to cripple. That’s why he’d rushed over.
