Given the unfamiliarity of this place, Lin Yun knew caution was paramount!
“If my guess is correct, the map left by Master Withered Silence was meant to guide us here,” Lin Yun murmured.
The map had led him to this world, but what next? There were no further clues.
“Since it brought us here, this world must have something special. Now, I’ll have to explore it myself,” Lin Yun thought.
If Master Withered Silence had gone to such lengths to leave his life’s work, *Withered Silence*, in that stone, he wouldn’t have set up a trap to harm others.
Lin Yun was almost certain that being guided here was meant to bring some benefit!
But what Master Withered Silence’s purpose was, Lin Yun couldn’t fathom.
“Little White, let’s go. Let’s see what this world is like and whether there’s life here,” Lin Yun said.
He stored the Metal Bear, climbed onto Little White’s back, and they took off to explore.
“Little White, why are you flying so slowly?” Lin Yun asked, surprised.
After a short distance, he noticed Little White’s speed was far below usual.
“Master, this world is strange. The rules of this realm suppress speed significantly. I can’t unleash my full speed,” Little White explained.
“Fine, this speed will do,” Lin Yun said.
After about an hour of flight, a small tribe came into view.
“It seems this world does have life—possibly even humans!” Lin Yun said, looking down at the tribe.
With the Soul-Breaking Poison, Lin Yun couldn’t use his divine sense to probe.
“Let’s go down and learn about this place,” Lin Yun said.
He didn’t know if this world had cultivators, but even if it did, a small tribe was unlikely to house strong ones.
Even on the mighty Cultivation Continent, villagers in small settlements were typically weak.
As Lin Yun approached, he had Little White land, stored him in the Green Vine Gourd space, and walked into the tribe alone.
This was an unfamiliar world, and he didn’t know its dynamics, so he needed to keep a low profile.
At the tribe’s entrance.
“Who are you?”
As Lin Yun reached the gate, several burly humans in animal hides blocked his path.
Lin Yun observed them. They were over two meters tall, dark-skinned, and muscular, looking formidable.
Lin Yun’s height, normal on Earth, seemed short compared to them.
No, they were just exceptionally tall!
“I’m passing through and would like to stay briefly,” Lin Yun said with a polite smile.
“No!”
The two men in hides raised their spears, signaling him to leave.
Rumble! Rumble!
Suddenly, the ground shook.
“What’s happening?”
Feeling the tremors, Lin Yun turned to see a dark mass of people charging toward the tribe.
“It’s the Sky Wolf Gang!”
The men at the gate paled, one quickly blowing a horn.
Woo! Woo!
The horn’s sound echoed through the air.
“What’s going on? Is a battle about to break out?” Lin Yun was stunned.
He stepped aside.
It seemed a fight was indeed imminent.
This was good—Lin Yun could observe their strength and combat style.
The Sky Wolf Gang, equally tall and dark-skinned, reached the gate in moments.
Their leaders rode rhinoceros-like beasts.
Warriors poured out from the tribe.
“Brothers, the Yiyuan Tribe has refused to pay tribute for two years. Today, the Sky Wolf Gang will crush them!”
“Kill!”
The bald leader of the Sky Wolf Gang charged first.
The tribe’s warriors met them, and battle erupted at the gate.
“Hm? None of them are using internal energy?” Lin Yun watched, astonished.
It seemed they didn’t cultivate internal energy at all!
Yet their physical strength was impressive, their bodies robust. Though insignificant to Lin Yun, their ability to unleash thousands or tens of thousands of pounds of force without internal energy was surprising.
The artifact spirit’s voice sounded in Lin Yun’s mind: “They likely cultivate their bodies. If I’m right, this entire world probably relies on physical cultivation to grow stronger!”
“Very likely,” Lin Yun nodded.
The environment shapes its inhabitants.
This world was rich in desolate energy but lacked spiritual energy, making it unsuitable for internal cultivation but ideal for physical cultivation.
The humans here had evolved to be tall and robust, naturally suited for physical training.
If so, this world was intriguing!
Observing the battle, Lin Yun noted the strongest, likely the bald Sky Wolf leader, had reached the early stage of the Diamond Body.
Most were at the Flawless Body level.
Physical cultivation stages were:
1. Mortal Body
2. Flawless Body
3. Diamond Body
4. Pure Yang Body
5. Myriad Forms Body
6. Tianhao Body
7. Nirvana Body
8. Chaos Body
9. Origin Body
10. Indestructible Divine Body
11. Sanctified Body
Each stage had early, middle, and late phases.
Lin Yun was at the late Tianhao Body stage.
At that moment, a disheveled Sky Wolf Gang member charged at Lin Yun, mistaking him for a tribesman.
“Haha, I’ve never seen such a pale, short guy. You haven’t even reached the Mortal Body, have you?” the bandit laughed, staring at Lin Yun.
With that, he swung a fist at Lin Yun with brute force!
