During the wait, the remaining two alliances’ groups arrived.
Each performed a grand kneeling ceremony to the Wuji Heavenly Palace.
All four alliances gathered, keeping a distance from one another to avoid interference.
Lin Yun occasionally opened his eyes to observe the surroundings.
“Huaixi, what’s the strength of the Western Alliance’s leader?” Lin Yun asked curiously.
He was eager to gauge the top powerhouses of this world.
Lin Yun figured the Western Alliance leader, if not among the very best, was likely in the top ten. Knowing their strength would reveal the world’s elite level.
“I don’t know the leader’s exact strength, but Elder Shi, who’s leading us, is at the late Myriad Forms Body stage—very powerful!” Huaixi said.
“Late Myriad Forms Body? That’s quite strong,” Lin Yun said with a smile.
Honestly, without rare treasures, Lin Yun himself would be at the Myriad Forms Body stage at best, or perhaps not even there.
He had to admit, this world’s expertise in physical cultivation was impressive.
Of course, their naturally robust bodies, built to endure, were ideal for physical training.
“Hm? That three-meter guy from the Fenglu Tribe seems quite popular. Even Elder Shi went to chat with him,” Lin Yun said, eyeing the giant in the distance.
He noticed women from other tribes frequently approached the three-meter man, and Elder Shi had just spoken to him with a smile.
“That giant is from the Fenglu Tribe, and Elder Shi was once a member of it. Most Western Alliance elders come from various tribes, so it’s not odd for Elder Shi to talk to him,” Huaixi explained.
He continued, “The Fenglu Tribe is a major tribe, and that guy, named Guan Jin, is their most outstanding genius in a century. In two or three hundred years, he could become an alliance elder. Plus, his towering, imposing figure makes him admired by many women from other tribes.”
In this world, the strong didn’t live as long as those on the Cultivation Continent.
From his months in the tribe, Lin Yun learned that the weak lived just over a hundred years, while someone like Elder Shi, at the Myriad Forms Body stage, might live five or six hundred years.
“Honestly, though he’s a heartthrob in your eyes, to me, that three-meter guy is ugly, like a dimwit,” Lin Yun said, shaking his head with a laugh.
This world’s aesthetics were, frankly, beyond Lin Yun’s appreciation. A three-meter height was considered tall and majestic, adored by women?
And the women here—taller and bulkier meant more beautiful in the eyes of men…
As soon as Lin Yun spoke, Guan Jin, the three-meter giant from the Fenglu Tribe, shot a sharp glance his way.
“Trouble, Lord Lin! Guan Jin might’ve heard you!” Huaixi’s face paled.
“So what? Makes no difference to me,” Lin Yun said nonchalantly.
“No, he’s… he’s coming over!” Huaixi exclaimed.
Lin Yun looked up to see Guan Jin, with his seven Fenglu Tribe companions, striding toward them.
“Luckily, alliance rules forbid fighting outside the Wuji Heavenly Palace. They won’t dare act,” Huaixi said nervously.
In moments, Guan Jin and his group reached Lin Yun, surrounding him and Huaixi.
The scene drew the attention of nearby Western Alliance tribes.
“What’s going on? Those two are from a small tribe, right? How’d they provoke the Fenglu Tribe?”
“That short, skinny guy! He was whispering during the assembly and got scolded by Elder Shi!”
Lin Yun’s height, build, and paler skin made him stand out, leaving a strong impression even on those who didn’t know him.
In the center of the commotion.
“Kid, did you just call me ugly and a dimwit?” Guan Jin glared fiercely at Lin Yun.
“I didn’t insult you. I was stating facts,” Lin Yun said calmly.
“Haha, what a joke! You, a short, skinny white pig, dare say our Brother Guan is ugly?” Guan Jin’s companions sneered.
Guan Jin grabbed Lin Yun’s collar. “Kid, I already wanted to beat you at the alliance entrance, but you got lucky. Now you dare provoke me again? If I don’t teach you a lesson, where’s my face? Where’s the Fenglu Tribe’s face?”
“What? You want to fight outside the Wuji Heavenly Palace?” Lin Yun asked, still smiling.
Elder Shi, the Western Alliance leader, quickly approached.
“Guan Jin, settle this later. This is the Wuji Heavenly Palace—no fighting!” Elder Shi’s voice boomed.
Guan Jin released Lin Yun.
“Little punk, after the Wuji Heavenly Palace, I’ll deal with you!” Guan Jin growled, his eyes brimming with killing intent.
Elder Shi turned to Lin Yun. “Kid, if you’re looking for trouble, get out now!”
He shouted at Lin Yun without even glancing at him. To him, Lin Yun’s short, lean frame marked him as inferior in this world.
“Guan Jin came to provoke me,” Lin Yun said calmly.
Elder Shi’s anger flared. “You dare talk back? Stand up and leave! Your eligibility for the Wuji Heavenly Palace is revoked!”
Huaixi, sitting beside Lin Yun, looked panicked.
“Elder Shi, we didn’t mean it. Please give us a chance!” Huaixi pleaded.
“You’re from the Yiyuan Tribe, right? You think you can beg? Pathetic!” Elder Shi sneered at Huaixi.
If it were a top-ranking tribe, Elder Shi wouldn’t dare revoke their spots so casually, but a tiny tribe like Yiyuan? They were at his mercy.
The weak had no voice!
