Absolute God Chapter 2474

Ji Bin appeared refined and courteous, his manners elegant and considerate, paying attention to Lin Kexin’s needs in many small ways, showing thoughtfulness. During Lin Yun’s observation, he didn’t make any inappropriate moves toward his daughter.

While dining at the restaurant, Ji Bin even composed a poem for Lin Kexin on the spot, displaying his talent.

Watching from the shadows, Lin Yun thought to himself, “If this Ji Bin is reliable, I could accept him.”

As for the young man’s family background, Lin Yun wasn’t overly concerned. He cared only about Ji Bin’s character, whether he was sincere toward his daughter, and if he would treat her well.

Even so, Lin Yun couldn’t feel happy. His heart felt empty, even pained in a way he couldn’t describe.

Seeing his daughter laughing and being close with Ji Bin stirred an indescribable feeling in Lin Yun, as if his precious gem, his little treasure, was being taken away.

It wasn’t until past four in the afternoon that Lin Kexin and Ji Bin finished their outing.

On the street.

“Young Master Ji Bin, thank you for taking me out today. I had a wonderful time,” Lin Kexin said, her beautiful face glowing with a smile.

“Kexin, let me escort you home,” Ji Bin offered, his warm smile carrying a magnetic charm.

“No, Young Master Ji Bin,” Lin Kexin quickly waved her hand in refusal.

Still smiling, Ji Bin said, “Kexin, I know what you’re worried about. You’re afraid if I take you home, your father will find out, right?”

Lin Kexin didn’t speak, only nodding slightly.

“Kexin, we can’t hide this from your father forever. We’ll have to meet your parents eventually. Besides, we’re both single, and there’s nothing wrong with our relationship,” Ji Bin said.

“You know my father is an exceptional man who’s achieved legendary feats. His standards are surely high, and I’m afraid… afraid he won’t approve of you,” Lin Kexin voiced her concern.

Hearing this from afar, Lin Yun’s heart trembled, a wave of guilt rising within him.

“I haven’t been a good enough father,” Lin Yun murmured to himself.

He hadn’t done enough, and unknowingly, he seemed to have put pressure on his daughter.

In truth, Lin Yun never expected Lin Kexin to achieve great things. He only wanted her to be happy, to live under his protection, safe from harm.

Further down the street.

“Kexin, I know your father is remarkable, and his standards are high, but I’m not lacking either. I passed Master Tu Fan’s disciple test with top marks, proving I’m no ordinary man,” Ji Bin said.

With a gentle smile, he continued, “Even if your father’s demands are sky-high, even if he doesn’t approve of me, for the sake of being with you, Kexin, I, Ji Bin, would climb mountains of blades or dive into seas of fire to meet his expectations and gain his approval!”

His final words carried resolute determination.

Lin Kexin, moved by his words, felt touched, her eyes shimmering with sweetness.

“Thank you, Young Master Ji Bin,” she said softly.

They soon parted ways, Lin Kexin heading toward the Lin Residence while Ji Bin watched her leave before turning away.

Hearing Ji Bin’s heartfelt words to Lin Kexin, Lin Yun, hidden in the shadows, reflected.

If they truly loved each other and Ji Bin could treat his daughter well, Lin Yun could accept him. After all, he’d been young once too.

Lin Yun then quietly followed Ji Bin, wanting to observe him further.

Ji Bin remained courteous along the way, even helping an elderly person, which earned him silent approval from Lin Yun.

Soon, Ji Bin returned to a mansion in the city.

It was clear Ji Bin’s family background was decent, and with the surname Ji, he was likely part of the imperial clan, though probably not a direct descendant.

After Ji Bin entered the mansion, Lin Yun didn’t follow.

“That’s enough. It’s time to go back and have a proper talk with my daughter,” Lin Yun murmured.

As he turned to leave, he noticed several well-dressed young men entering the mansion.

Lin Yun paused, deciding to investigate further.

He silently extended his divine sense into the mansion.

With his current level of divine sense, unless an Eternal realm cultivator was present, no one would detect his probing.

Inside a hall in the mansion, Ji Bin welcomed the young men, setting up a banquet where they began drinking and chatting.

Several maids stood by, ready to pour wine.

As one maid poured for a young man, he grabbed her arm, pulling her into his lap.

“Come, drink with me,” the young man said with a laugh, holding her.

Seeing this, the other guests followed suit, pulling the maids beside them into their arms.

Ji Bin, too, pulled a maid into his lap, smiling as he poured wine down her throat.

The maid coughed repeatedly.

“Haha!” Ji Bin burst into laughter.

This Ji Bin was a stark contrast to the refined, gentlemanly figure Lin Yun had seen earlier!

Outside the mansion.

“So, this guy is a hypocrite,” Lin Yun said, frowning.

He had observed everything clearly through his divine sense.

Lin Yun continued monitoring the situation.

After a few drinks, the group began to talk.

“By the way, Brother Ji Bin, how’s it going with Lin Yun’s daughter, Lin Kexin?” a sharp-faced man asked.

“She’s not like other women. She doesn’t care for material things, so she’s hard to win over quickly. It takes time to capture her heart. Thanks to that act you guys staged, I’ve earned her affection, and things are progressing well,” Ji Bin said, leaning back in his chair, sipping wine.

“Ji Bin, why not just take her and be done with it? Why so much trouble?” another young man said.

Ji Bin shook his head with a smile, “To win Lin Kexin, you have to take it slow, capture her heart willingly. Forcing her won’t do. Besides, I’ve already gained her trust, so it’s only a matter of time.”

“Ji Bin, once you’re Lin Yun’s son-in-law, you’ll not only win a beauty but also gain countless benefits from Lin Yun, maybe even soar to great heights with his help. Don’t forget our contributions then,” the sharp-faced man said.

“Haha, don’t worry,” Ji Bin replied with a laugh.
