“Damn it, prepare to fight!” Bao Gang roared.
His shout seemed to instantly draw the demonic beast’s attention.
The beast swung its massive, pillar-like tail, lashing fiercely toward Bao Gang.
“You beast!”
Bao Gang’s face paled as he swung his war blade, unleashing a torrent of light to counter the attack.
But under the beast’s tail strike, Bao Gang’s assault collapsed instantly. The tail broke through his attack and struck his body directly.

Bao Gang was sent flying backward!
This scene left the others in shock. Even Bao Gang seemed utterly helpless before this demonic beast?
“This beast is so strong! We… we’re probably done for!” Si Yuanfu from Taigu Sect turned pale, his face ashen.
“Fight together! And send for help quickly!” Lin Yun shouted.
The beast turned its gaze toward Lin Yun and the other five.
“Roar!”
It opened its gaping maw, unleashing a terrifying torrent of flames that surged toward the five like a fiery dragon!
“Block it!”
Lin Yun swiftly swung his sword, releasing a massive arc of sword light to counter the fiery torrent.
The other four didn’t dare hesitate, unleashing their attacks to clash with the incoming flames.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Their combined attacks collided with the fiery torrent, shaking the space and ground with each impact, unleashing terrifying shockwaves.
The devastating waves spread in all directions like a storm.
Under this fearsome collision, the castle’s hall was instantly destroyed, with debris exploding outward.
At the point of impact, the five’s combined attacks were obliterated by the fiery torrent, though they managed to weaken its power considerably.
Though diminished, the fiery torrent still reached them in a flash, overwhelming them in an instant!
Facing the oncoming flames, the five, grim-faced, could only muster their full strength to resist. The torrent exploded, its remaining force crashing over them.

As the flames fully erupted, Si Yuanfu from Taigu Sect spat out a mouthful of blood, his body sent crashing into the ruins dozens of metres away.
Even Lin Yun staggered back several steps before steadying himself, his insides churning. Thanks to his strong defenses, he avoided serious injury.
The others’ conditions plummeted, each sustaining varying degrees of injury.
Blood trickled from Mo Qing’s lips.
This was the result of all five facing the attack together.
“We’re done for. We’re likely going to die here today!” Si Yuanfu climbed from the rubble, his face pale and filled with dread.
This beast was simply too powerful!
It was a completely one-sided fight!
The five of them couldn’t hold their own at all.
Yet, the beast didn’t continue its assault.
“Haha, foolish humans, you’ve set me free!”
The beast spoke in human tongue, then soared into the air.
With the hall already collapsed, it flew straight into the sky, vanishing from sight in an instant.
“The beast just… fled?” Lin Yun said, stunned.
With such strength, why didn’t it continue attacking the six of them? It should have had the power to kill them all!
The artifact spirit explained, “This beast was likely sealed here. After being suppressed for so long, it can’t fully unleash its power upon release. What it displayed was probably just a fraction of its strength. With the aura it exudes, if it were at its peak, killing all six of you would be effortless!”
“In its weakened state, it must fear you’ll call for human powerhouses to surround it. It just wants to escape and survive.”
Lin Yun finally understood.
He had sensed the beast’s terrifying aura earlier. Though its attack was powerful, it paled in comparison to its aura.

He instantly grasped the gravity of the situation!
“Phew… thank goodness the beast fled, or we’d have been as good as dead!” Bao Gang stood, wiping blood from his lips, sighing with relief.
“Haha, that beast was so stupid! It had the power to wipe us out but ran away!” Si Yuanfu from Taigu Sect laughed, relieved.
Surviving such a close call filled them with joy.
After all, they thought they were doomed, yet the beast inexplicably left, naturally thrilling them.
“You’re still laughing!” Lin Yun’s face darkened, his voice booming with anger.
“Lin Yun, what’s that supposed to mean? We survived, isn’t it normal to be happy?” Bao Gang frowned, looking at Lin Yun.
Lin Yun snapped, “Bao Gang, do you realize the disaster you’ve caused? This beast was surely sealed here by our human ancestors at great effort hundreds of thousands of years ago. Those beads were clearly the key to its suppression.”
“And you, Bao Gang, out of your own greed, took them and set this beast free!”
Lin Yun’s words were like a bucket of cold water, wiping the smiles off everyone’s faces, replacing them with shock.
They realized Lin Yun’s words were logical and entirely plausible!
Lin Yun stormed up to Bao Gang.
Grabbing his collar, Lin Yun growled, “Bao Gang, do you know what you’ve done? By letting that beast escape back to demon territory and regain its strength, how much harm will it bring to the human race? Can you, Bao Gang, bear that responsibility?”
