“I have enough Bright Moon Crystals to break through to the Second Layer of the Myriad Things Realm, but there’s still a significant gap to reach the Third Layer,” Lin Yun murmured.
Previously, with no shortage of Bright Moon Crystals, Lin Yun hadn’t needed the Supreme Universe Cauldron.
But moving forward, it would play a key role.
“First, I’ll reach the Second Layer, then plan from there.”
With that, Lin Yun began absorbing the Bright Moon Crystals.
…
Time passed, and after six months of cultivation in the tower, Lin Yun opened his eyes, a smile spreading across his face. “Second Layer of the Myriad Things Realm, achieved!”
He released his aura, feeling the powerful energy of the Second Layer surging within him, his smile widening.
Advancing in realm was the most comprehensive and effective way to grow.
In the tower, seven months had passed, equivalent to just over a month outside.
As for reaching the Third Layer, there was no rush. He’d first stabilise his current realm and gather resources for the next breakthrough.
“To reach the Third Layer, I still need over ten thousand Bright Moon Crystals. I’d better start preparing,” Lin Yun mused.
He calculated that melting all his current spoils could yield a few thousand Universe Crystals, but there’d still be a shortfall.
“I need to find a way to gather resources for melting,” Lin Yun murmured.
The Supreme Universe Cauldron could break down anything, but it required high-quality materials. Low-grade resources would melt but produce nothing.
“Spirit, would you mind if I told my master about you?” Lin Yun asked.
On his way back, Lin Yun had considered that since his master was far from the Third Layer of the Dominion Realm, the Supreme Universe Cauldron could help him advance quickly, rather than relying on slow accumulation.
But the cauldron was a significant matter. The spirit had previously warned Lin Yun not to reveal its existence to anyone, even those close to him.
So, Lin Yun sought its permission.
The spirit replied, “Master, Emperor Huoyun, as the empire’s leader, controls many resources that could be converted into Universe Crystals. Since you trust him, and with the demon war approaching, you may tell him.”
“Good. Since you approve, I’ll find a time to discuss it with Master,” Lin Yun said, smiling.
“But only tell your master. No one else. This treasure, capable of producing Universe Crystals, could drive any faction mad, even turning friends into enemies or prompting betrayal,” the spirit cautioned.
Such a resource for immortal cultivation could spark chaos.
“I understand,” Lin Yun nodded.
He imagined his master would be thrilled to learn about the Supreme Universe Cauldron.
Next, Lin Yun had much to do, like practising the Heavenly Origin Sword Technique and studying formations.
But first, he decided to visit the palace to reveal the Supreme Universe Cauldron to Emperor Huoyun.
…
At the Palace of Divine Connection, Emperor Huoyun sat on his throne.
Lin Yun had messaged him via the communication bracelet, saying he had important matters to discuss, so Emperor Huoyun was waiting.
“Master, what could Lin Yun’s big news be?” the red-haired cat asked curiously.
“For him to call it significant, it must be extraordinary. I just don’t know if it’s good or bad,” Emperor Huoyun murmured.
He straightened up, adding, “He’s here. Step back.”
The red-haired cat retreated.
The hall’s doors opened, and Lin Yun stepped inside.
“Master,” Lin Yun bowed.
“Disciple, no need for formalities. What’s the important matter?” Emperor Huoyun said calmly.
Lin Yun didn’t speak immediately. Instead, he used his divine sense and inner energy to shield the surrounding space.
Then he said, “Master, I’m here to share a great treasure with you.”
“Oh? A treasure? What is it?” Emperor Huoyun’s curiosity was piqued.
He knew Lin Yun had explored many relics, so a treasure wasn’t surprising, but what could make Lin Yun so cautious and secretive?
With a wave, Lin Yun revealed the Supreme Universe Cauldron.
“Master, this is the Supreme Universe Cauldron. You’ve likely heard its name,” Lin Yun said.
“The Supreme Universe Cauldron? The one from the Sacred Artifact List?” Emperor Huoyun exclaimed.
Lin Yun nodded, smiling. “Exactly. It can produce Universe Crystals, which are identical in effect to Bright Moon Crystals!”
Emperor Huoyun stood and approached the cauldron.
Lin Yun produced a Universe Crystal. “Master, this is a Universe Crystal. Try its effects.”
Handing it over, Emperor Huoyun absorbed it instantly.
“It’s the same! The effect is identical!” Emperor Huoyun’s eyes gleamed as he felt the crystal’s power.
“Master, with this, we have a source of cultivation resources—a mobile mine!” Lin Yun said, smiling.
“You’re right! This treasure is too important!” Emperor Huoyun stared at the cauldron, his excitement barely contained, his hands trembling slightly.
Even as the great Emperor Huoyun, he couldn’t hide his emotions.
He turned to Lin Yun, eagerly asking, “Disciple, how does it produce Universe Crystals?”
“It can melt anything, converting resources into crystals, but only high-quality ones, like Transcendent or Sacred-level weapons, artifacts, rare herbs, or ores,” Lin Yun explained.
Emperor Huoyun waved, producing a Sacred-level weapon.
“Disciple, try converting it,” he said, handing it to Lin Yun.
“Yes.”
Lin Yun took the weapon and placed it in the cauldron.
Buzz.
The cauldron glowed, slowly melting the weapon.
The process took time.
After a short wait, the Supreme Universe Cauldron began producing Universe Crystals.
