Absolute God Chapter 2555 - LiddRead

Absolute God Chapter 2555

On a main street in the capital.

Lin Yun was suddenly intercepted by a middle-aged man who blocked his path.

“Lord Lin Yun, injustice!” The man knelt before Lin Yun, crying out loudly.

“What’s the cause of your grievance?” Lin Yun asked, looking at the man with surprise.

Glancing him over, Lin Yun noted the man’s coarse cloth attire, clearly a commoner from the lower rungs of this world.

His actions quickly drew the attention of nearby passersby.

“Look, that’s Lord Lin Yun! I saw him overcome his tribulation outside the city with my own eyes!”

“Yes, it’s Lord Lin! I was there too, I saw him!”

“So that’s Lord Lin Yun? This is my first time seeing him. He’s a legend!”

Some in the crowd recognised Lin Yun instantly, and those who didn’t soon learned his identity through the murmurs.

“That man’s bold, blocking Lord Lin’s path to cry injustice. Lord Lin’s an immortal!”

“No idea what he’s complaining about, but I’ve heard Lord Lin’s a good man. This might actually work.”

In the midst of the scene.

“Lord, my son was crippled by your son, Lin Yi, left a wreck for life. They say you’re just and fair. Please, grant me justice!” The man knelt, sobbing as he pleaded.

“What? He’s accusing Lord Lin’s own son?”

The onlookers erupted in shock.

“Even if Lord Lin’s a good man, who doesn’t protect their own kin, especially a son? This man’s daring to accuse Young Master Lin Yi to Lord Lin. He’s in for trouble.”

Lin Yun’s heart jolted at the words.

“You say my son, Lin Yi, crippled your son? What happened?” Lin Yun pressed.

“Lord Lin, my son’s a lowly worker at Tianxiang Pavilion. While Young Master Lin Yi was there, my son accidentally dirtied his clothes.”

The man continued, tears streaming. “My son apologised on the spot, but… but Young Master Lin Yi still beat him into a cripple, doomed to lie in bed for the rest of his life.”

His words sent a wave of uproar through the crowd.

In the cultivation continent, it was common for privileged young masters to bully the powerless. Crippling someone wasn’t rare; even killing wasn’t unheard of.

But to complain to the perpetrator’s father? That was practically suicidal.

Lin Yun’s gaze sharpened. “Is this true?”

The man looked up, frantic. “Every word is true, Lord! As an immortal, you can surely see if I’m lying!”

Lin Yun’s divine sense swept out, effortlessly probing the man’s memories.

He wasn’t lying.

Anger surged within Lin Yun.

He knew his son wasn’t ambitious, and Lin Yun had no grand expectations for him.

But this crossed a line!

“Lord Lin, before I came to you, everyone warned me I’d court death. But my son’s suffered such a grave injustice. As his father, even if it kills me, I’ll seek justice!” The man’s eyes reddened, his emotions raw.

Just then, a squad of city guards patrolling the street rushed over.

“What’s this gathering? Who’s causing trouble?” The patrol captain barked, pushing through the crowd.

“What are you doing?” he shouted at Lin Yun and the man.

“I’m Lin Yun.”

Lin Yun flashed a token.

“L-Lord Lin!”

The captain and his dozen men froze in shock.

“We pay our respects, Lord Lin! Forgive our blindness!” The guards knelt in salute.

“Rise,” Lin Yun said, waving them off.

“Yes.”

The guards stood, and the captain ordered, “Seize this man for blocking Lord Lin’s path!”

Several guards lunged, pinning the middle-aged man.

“Lord Lin, you’re His Majesty’s disciple, an immortal with countless duties. No need to waste time on such a troublemaker. Leave him to us,” the captain said with a fawning smile.

The pinned man roared hysterically, “Lord Lin, if you shield your son’s evil, you’ll face retribution! Even if I die, I’ll make sure everyone hears this!”

“You wretch, daring to curse Lord Lin? I’ll cut you down!” The captain drew his sword, charging at the man.

“Stop!” Lin Yun’s voice thundered.

“L-Lord…” The captain trembled, halting and kneeling before Lin Yun.

The guards holding the man released him.

“I’ll handle this. Go about your duties,” Lin Yun said, his face dark as he waved them off.

“Lord, he dared offend you. His crime deserves death!” the captain insisted.

Lin Yun’s brow furrowed. “Can’t you understand me? Leave!”

“Y-Yes, we’ll go.” The captain saluted again.

The other guards followed suit, bowing respectfully before departing.

Lin Yun approached the middle-aged man.

Sweat beaded on the man’s forehead, his face tense with fear.

“Lord Lin, even if you kill me, I’ll cry injustice for my son,” he said, voice shaking.

“Uncle, stand up.” Lin Yun helped him to his feet.

Lin Yun understood his pain. If someone had maliciously crippled his own child, he’d be furious.

Then, Lin Yun produced a storage ring.

“Here’s three hundred thousand spirit crystals. Use them to buy a pill to heal your son’s disability. The rest is compensation.”

Lin Yun placed the ring in the man’s hand.

His son’s condition could be cured with a pill, but without this money, they’d never afford such an expensive remedy—like a poor family on Earth facing a multi-million-dollar medical bill.
