Absolute God Chapter 2563

Meanwhile.

After leaving, Emperor Huoyun hurriedly headed to the Heavenly God Palace.

Heavenly God Palace, Main Hall.

“What? Huoyun, is this true?” Deputy Palace Master Yao shot to his feet, utterly shocked.

Upon arriving, Emperor Huoyun had immediately shared the news with Deputy Palace Master Yao.

“It’s true. Lin Yun is likely setting out in the next couple of days to venture alone into the Demon Beast Mountain Range to save his son,” Emperor Huoyun said gravely.

“That, that’s tantamount to suicide! This cannot happen!” Deputy Palace Master Yao’s voice was sharp.

“Exactly, which is why I came to you to figure out a solution,” Emperor Huoyun said.

“There’s only one way to keep Lin Yun alive: stop him! Convince him to abandon the idea of rescuing his son from the Demon Beast Mountain Range. Huoyun, go talk to him again. You must persuade him. If his son is gone, he can have another,” Deputy Palace Master Yao said firmly.

For these immortals who had lived for over ten thousand years, they had long grown accustomed to life and death.

Emperor Huoyun shook his head, “Deputy Palace Master Yao, it’s impossible. I know Lin Yun’s character. He will go to the Demon Beast Mountain Range to save his son, and no one can change his mind.”

“Huoyun, do you have any better ideas?” Deputy Palace Master Yao looked at Emperor Huoyun.

“Since another war with the demon clan is inevitable, why not strike first? Gather our forces, mobilize all eight major powers, and launch an attack on the Demon Beast Mountain Range. It would serve both to strike the demon clan and to rescue Lin Yun’s son,” Emperor Huoyun proposed.

This suggestion startled Deputy Palace Master Yao.

“What? Attack the Demon Beast Mountain Range? Launching an assault there is a gamble, one that risks the entire fate of the human race. No way!” Deputy Palace Master Yao shook his head.

The Demon Beast Mountain Range was the demon clan’s territory. Even if the humans gathered all their elite forces for an attack, victory was uncertain, and the losses would be catastrophic!

If the demon clan seized the opportunity to counterattack while the humans were weakened, the entire continent could fall.

To start a war early and attack the Demon Beast Mountain Range for Lin Yun’s sake was far too risky.

“Deputy Palace Master Yao, the demon lord has been released back to the demon clan and is surely regaining strength. Attacking now, while it hasn’t fully recovered, might be better than waiting,” Emperor Huoyun said.

“No, attacking the Demon Beast Mountain Range is too risky! Our forces would lose all geographical advantage, while the enemy would have every benefit. We have no guarantee of victory. We can’t do this!” Deputy Palace Master Yao’s stance was resolute.

This concerned the future of the entire human race. Deputy Palace Master Yao wasn’t willing to gamble, nor did he have the confidence to take such a risk, as failure would offer no second chance.

Then, Deputy Palace Master Yao flipped his hand, revealing a treasure.

“These two Ten Thousand Mile Traceless Talismans, give them to Lin Yun. If he insists on going, this is all the Heavenly God Palace can do for him.”

With that, he handed the two talismans to Emperor Huoyun.

Of course, Deputy Palace Master Yao didn’t want Lin Yun to die. Lin Yun’s talent was exceptional, and he could potentially foster an alliance with the dragon clan.

But if Lin Yun insisted on venturing alone into the Demon Beast Mountain Range, there was little they could do.

The next day.

Fire Cloud Empire, Palace, Tongshen Hall.

“Master,” Lin Yun entered the hall and bowed to Emperor Huoyun.

“Disciple, when are you leaving?” Emperor Huoyun looked up at Lin Yun.

“Today,” Lin Yun replied.

Then, Lin Yun flipped his hand, revealing the Supreme Qiankun Cauldron.

“Master, this is the Supreme Qiankun Cauldron. I’ll leave it with you for now. If I don’t make it back, please continue to use it,” Lin Yun said.

If he brought it along and perished, it would fall into the demon clan’s hands.

“Disciple, I hope you return alive,” Emperor Huoyun said earnestly.

“Master, I’ll do my best,” Lin Yun grinned, trying to lighten the oppressive atmosphere in the hall.

“Disciple, here are two Ten Thousand Mile Traceless Talismans for instant teleportation. Deputy Palace Master Yao asked me to pass them to you.”

“And here’s a Super Void-Breaking Pearl, from me.”

Emperor Huoyun handed the items to Lin Yun.

“Thank you, Deputy Palace Master Yao. Thank you, Master,” Lin Yun said, accepting them.

In truth, after reaching the Immortal Realm, these items were starting to feel less useful.

Take the Super Void-Breaking Pearl, for instance. When Lin Yun was in the Tribulation Realm, it could easily break through the spatial locks of enemies’ treasures.

But in the Immortal Realm, against immortal-level enemies or heavenly demon-grade beasts’ spatial locks, the pearl often couldn’t break through.

As for weaker spatial locks, Lin Yun’s current strength allowed him to break them directly with his power.

As his strength grew, treasures once considered precious now held less appeal.

Even some protective treasures his master had given him before were now useless, as Lin Yun’s own defences were far superior.

“And I have two more things,” Emperor Huoyun stood, tossing two items to Lin Yun.

The first was a positioning talisman for the cultivation continent.

“If you get a chance to escape but can’t get out of the Demon Beast Mountain Range, try breaking through space and entering a spatial rift. It’s extremely dangerous, but it offers a slim chance of survival,” Emperor Huoyun instructed.

“Understood, disciple,” Lin Yun replied.

But he knew such a chance was likely slim, given his son was in the demon clan’s hands.

“The other is a secret manual on soul reincarnation. It’s easy to learn. If there’s truly no chance of survival, try soul reincarnation,” Emperor Huoyun said.

“Yes,” Lin Yun responded again.

Emperor Huoyun sat back down, closing his eyes, “But if you fall into the demon clan’s hands, they’ll likely not only kill you but destroy your soul as well, leaving no chance for reincarnation.”

These were, without doubt, last-resort measures, and not guaranteed to work.

“Master, I know this journey is likely a death sentence, perhaps even certain doom, but I have no choice,” Lin Yun said.

He continued, “Master, if I don’t make it back, please look after my family.”

Emperor Huoyun, eyes still closed, nodded silently, saying no more.

Undoubtedly, Emperor Huoyun was pained, knowing full well that Lin Yun might not return.

“Master, I’ll take my leave.”

After bowing, Lin Yun turned and left the hall.
