“Exactly, which is why I came to you to figure out a solution,” Emperor Huoyun said.
“There’s only one way to keep Lin Yun alive: stop him! Convince him to abandon the idea of rescuing his son from the Demon Beast Mountain Range. Huoyun, go talk to him again. You must persuade him. If his son is gone, he can have another,” Deputy Palace Master Yao said firmly.
For these immortals who had lived for over ten thousand years, they had long grown accustomed to life and death.
Emperor Huoyun shook his head, “Deputy Palace Master Yao, it’s impossible. I know Lin Yun’s character. He will go to the Demon Beast Mountain Range to save his son, and no one can change his mind.”

“Since another war with the demon clan is inevitable, why not strike first? Gather our forces, mobilize all eight major powers, and launch an attack on the Demon Beast Mountain Range. It would serve both to strike the demon clan and to rescue Lin Yun’s son,” Emperor Huoyun proposed.
This suggestion startled Deputy Palace Master Yao.
“What? Attack the Demon Beast Mountain Range? Launching an assault there is a gamble, one that risks the entire fate of the human race. No way!” Deputy Palace Master Yao shook his head.
The Demon Beast Mountain Range was the demon clan’s territory. Even if the humans gathered all their elite forces for an attack, victory was uncertain, and the losses would be catastrophic!
If the demon clan seized the opportunity to counterattack while the humans were weakened, the entire continent could fall.
To start a war early and attack the Demon Beast Mountain Range for Lin Yun’s sake was far too risky.
“Deputy Palace Master Yao, the demon lord has been released back to the demon clan and is surely regaining strength. Attacking now, while it hasn’t fully recovered, might be better than waiting,” Emperor Huoyun said.

With that, he handed the two talismans to Emperor Huoyun.

“Master, this is the Supreme Qiankun Cauldron. I’ll leave it with you for now. If I don’t make it back, please continue to use it,” Lin Yun said.
If he brought it along and perished, it would fall into the demon clan’s hands.
“Disciple, I hope you return alive,” Emperor Huoyun said earnestly.
“Master, I’ll do my best,” Lin Yun grinned, trying to lighten the oppressive atmosphere in the hall.
“Disciple, here are two Ten Thousand Mile Traceless Talismans for instant teleportation. Deputy Palace Master Yao asked me to pass them to you.”
“And here’s a Super Void-Breaking Pearl, from me.”
Emperor Huoyun handed the items to Lin Yun.
“Thank you, Deputy Palace Master Yao. Thank you, Master,” Lin Yun said, accepting them.
In truth, after reaching the Immortal Realm, these items were starting to feel less useful.
Take the Super Void-Breaking Pearl, for instance. When Lin Yun was in the Tribulation Realm, it could easily break through the spatial locks of enemies’ treasures.
But in the Immortal Realm, against immortal-level enemies or heavenly demon-grade beasts’ spatial locks, the pearl often couldn’t break through.

But he knew such a chance was likely slim, given his son was in the demon clan’s hands.
“The other is a secret manual on soul reincarnation. It’s easy to learn. If there’s truly no chance of survival, try soul reincarnation,” Emperor Huoyun said.
“Yes,” Lin Yun responded again.
Emperor Huoyun sat back down, closing his eyes, “But if you fall into the demon clan’s hands, they’ll likely not only kill you but destroy your soul as well, leaving no chance for reincarnation.”
These were, without doubt, last-resort measures, and not guaranteed to work.
“Master, I know this journey is likely a death sentence, perhaps even certain doom, but I have no choice,” Lin Yun said.
He continued, “Master, if I don’t make it back, please look after my family.”
Emperor Huoyun, eyes still closed, nodded silently, saying no more.
