The Dragon Emperor’s words left all the dragon clan members present dumbfounded, their hearts roiling with shock.
To think the Dragon Emperor would speak of him in such a way? What kind of existence was this human?
“We understand.”
After a moment of stunned silence, all the dragon clan members hurriedly responded to the Dragon Emperor.
When they looked at Lin Yun again, they felt his figure had become far more mysterious, their eyes now tinged with wariness.
Even the Great Elder, Second Elder, and members of the West Sea Dragon Palace were bewildered. Did Lin Yun possess some terrifying, hidden secret?
Even Little Green Dragon was utterly confused. What was going on? Did Lin Yun have some grand secret?
In truth, even Lin Yun himself was somewhat baffled. Since when would his death bring about a catastrophe for the dragon clan?
Of course, the Dragon Emperor’s words were a fabrication.
Killing Lin Yun wouldn’t possibly lead to such grave consequences; he didn’t have that kind of power.
The Dragon Emperor had said this to protect Lin Yun. As a mere remnant soul, simply stating he would protect Lin Yun might not hold weight in the future, so he chose to intimidate and scare the dragon palaces with such a claim.
In the eyes of all dragon clan members, the Dragon Emperor was a supreme, god-like figure, so they naturally believed his grave warning without question.
The Dragon Emperor’s motive for protecting Lin Yun was simple: Lin Yun was the Human Emperor’s disciple, and as the Human Emperor’s close friend, the Dragon Emperor was willing to safeguard him, partly as a way to honour his friend’s memory.
The Dragon Emperor approached Lin Yun again, sealing off their surroundings.
“Thank you, Senior, for helping me,” Lin Yun said, quickly bowing.
Lin Yun understood why the Dragon Emperor had spoken as he did—it was to protect him.
This filled Lin Yun with genuine gratitude.
With the Dragon Emperor’s warning as a deterrent, no other dragon palace would dare target him in the future.
“The Human Emperor and I are now history. With the Demon Lord reappearing, this heavy responsibility falls to your generation,” the Dragon Emperor said solemnly.
In truth, the demon clan’s attack targeted the mainland and posed no threat to the dragon clan.
“Rest assured, Dragon Emperor, my generation will give our all!” Lin Yun replied resolutely.
“As a human, you can only rely on the Human Emperor for great opportunities, but I can give you a gift as well.”
With that, the Dragon Emperor waved his claw, and a surge of information flooded into Lin Yun.
“It’s a secret manual!” Lin Yun exclaimed.
The manual was called *Dragon God Technique*, and in moments, all its details had flooded into Lin Yun’s mind.
“This manual isn’t even stored in the Hidden Dragon Tower, and it’s well-suited for human cultivation. Make good use of it,” the Dragon Emperor said.
“Thank you, Dragon Emperor!” Lin Yun bowed excitedly.
“In you and the West Sea Dragon King, Little Green Dragon, I truly see shades of the Human Emperor and myself in our youth,” the Dragon Emperor said wistfully.
After a pause, he continued, “By the way, when you met the Human Emperor at his relic, did he mention me?”
“Of course, the Human Emperor deeply misses you and feels some guilt, as you sacrificed yourself for him,” Lin Yun replied.
“What a pity I can’t see him again,” the Dragon Emperor said with regret.
“If I meet the Human Emperor again, I can pass on a message for you,” Lin Yun offered.
After a moment of silence, the Dragon Emperor said slowly, “Tell him not to blame himself. Having a friend like him in this life is enough.”
Hearing this, Lin Yun felt a lump in his throat, an indescribable pang in his heart.
“Your Majesty, I will definitely deliver the message!” Lin Yun said firmly.
The Dragon Emperor nodded, dispelled the surrounding barrier, and returned to the hall, transforming back into a statue.
As per the Dragon Emperor’s three-month timeframe, his remnant consciousness would likely dissipate completely afterward, leaving only a statue standing here forever.
At the East Sea Dragon Palace’s position:
“The Dragon Emperor spoke with that human alone again. It seems he’s truly extraordinary!” the East Sea Dragon King said, his gaze narrowing.
The Great Elder of the East Sea Dragon Palace quickly added, “When the Dragon Emperor first appeared, he went to him first. We don’t know what hidden secret this human has, but even the Human Emperor values him so highly, and the Dragon Emperor issued such a grave warning to the dragon clan.”
Looking at Lin Yun now, the Great Elder found him profoundly mysterious.
“I don’t know why, but since the Dragon Emperor said so, it must be true. To think, if he hadn’t intervened earlier, I might have caused a catastrophe!” The East Sea Dragon King felt a sudden chill of fear.

Connecting the dots, they felt Lin Yun was increasingly extraordinary…

Joking aside, with the Dragon Emperor’s grave warning, even without the East Sea Dragon King’s order, they wouldn’t dare provoke Lin Yun again.

“You deserved it!” the Great Elder glared at him fiercely.
