Seeing Stephanie’s call, Charlie wade felt a surge of joy in his heart.
Recently, Stephanie had been busy holding her global farewell concert tour around the world and hadn’t returned to the country yet.
The reason she was working so hard was that after this global farewell concert, she would retire from the entertainment industry for good. This was her final tour.
Charlie wade answered the phone and asked cheerfully, “Nannan, it’s been a while since you last called me.”
On the phone, Stephanie’s voice was filled with excitement as she said, “Brother Charlie wade, I’ve just boarded the plane and am heading back to Eastcliff!”
Charlie wade asked in surprise, “Where are you now?”
“In Lisbon!” Stephanie replied. “I only have one last concert left in my farewell tour, and after that, I’ll be done with the entertainment industry for good!”
Charlie wade asked, “Where are you planning to hold your final concert?”
“Eastcliff!”
Stephanie said, “I thought about it. The first stop of my tour was in Aurous Hill, and the last one will be in Eastcliff. One is the city where you live now, and the other is the city where we grew up together. It feels more meaningful this way!”
Charlie wade smiled and said, “Nannan, you’ve put a lot of thought into this. When is the Eastcliff concert?”
Stephanie excitedly replied, “It’s on February 2nd, your birthday!”
Charlie wade chuckled, “It’s only just the start of the lunar month now, so there’s still about two months to go.”
“Exactly!” Stephanie said with a smile. “After I return, I plan to take a break from work and spend some time with my parents. Brother Charlie wade, when will you have time to come to Eastcliff? My parents have been mentioning you too, saying they miss you.”
Charlie wade smiled and said, “I’m actually on a plane too, about to take off, and I’m also heading to Eastcliff. But I’m closer, so I’ll arrive in about an hour.”
“What?!” Stephanie exclaimed. “Brother Charlie wade, you’re going to Eastcliff now?! What for? How long will you stay?”
Charlie wade replied, “I’ll probably be there for about a week. Do you know Tawana Swiet?”
“Of course!” Stephanie said with a smile. “She’s one of the top global female singers and a songwriter too. I really like her. I even tried to get tickets for her concert, but I didn’t win the lottery. Brother Charlie wade, are you going with your wife to see her concert?”
Charlie wade laughed and said, “No, I actually have a role as the feng shui consultant for Tawana Swiet’s China tour. I’m traveling with her team to help with the preparations, though there’s not much work to do.”
Stephanie exclaimed happily, “That’s great! Brother Charlie wade, will you come home then?”
“Of course,” Charlie wade agreed without hesitation. “When you land, I’ll pick you up at the airport, and we can go see Uncle Gu and Auntie together.”
“Great!” Stephanie said. “I’ll arrive in Eastcliff early tomorrow morning. I chose this time to avoid the paparazzi. If it’s convenient for you, Brother Charlie wade, come pick me up at the airport.”
“Sure!” Charlie wade said. “I’ll go see Grandpa at the Ye family tonight and stay there. Let me know when you’re about to arrive, and I’ll come get you.”
“Perfect, see you tomorrow morning!”
After hanging up the phone, Charlie wade noticed the plane was already on the runway, preparing to take off.
Tawana, sitting nearby, looked at him curiously and asked, “Mr. Wade, if I may ask, who were you talking to just now? I heard something about a concert in Eastcliff?”
