Miracle Doctor Chapter 864

After taking down Zhang Zihao, Ye Qiu prepared to head upstairs to find Jin Changxu.

At that moment, Yellow Hair came down from the second floor.

Ye Qiu recognised him instantly as Zhang Zihao’s driver, who had been at the Xu residence earlier that day.

“Who are you?” Yellow Hair shouted at Ye Qiu.

“Where’s Jin Changxu?” Ye Qiu asked.

“Who the hell are you?”

“I’m the one who’s going to kill you.”

Ye Qiu grinned.

The one to kill me?

Yellow Hair’s gaze swept the room, spotting the bodies of the bald man and the other accomplice. Not seeing Zhang Zihao, his heart jolted.

“Where’s Boss Hao?” Yellow Hair asked Ye Qiu.

“He’s right here.” Ye Qiu pointed at the shattered remains on the floor.

What, Boss Hao’s dead?

Yellow Hair’s face paled.

“Where’s Jin Changxu?” Ye Qiu asked again, stepping towards Yellow Hair as he spoke.

“Wait a second.”

Seeing Ye Qiu approach, Yellow Hair panicked, shouted, and turned to run upstairs.

Ye Qiu followed him up.

Just as his foot hit the stairs, his phone rang.

Beep, beep, beep.

Ye Qiu pulled out his phone, saw it was the War God calling, pressed the answer button, and said, “Chief, you’re looking for me?”

“Ye Qiu, I’ve located Zhang Zihao. He’s at—”

Before the War God could finish, Ye Qiu interrupted, “Zhang Zihao’s already been taken care of.”

The War God sounded surprised, “How did you find him?”

Ye Qiu said, “The guy had some guts, showing up at the Xu residence this afternoon to demand money from Old Xu. I happened to be there, so I followed the trail to his hideout.”

The War God laughed, “Looks like Zhang Zihao’s fate was sealed.”

“Chief, I’ve got some things to handle. I’ll hang up now.”

Ye Qiu put away his phone and headed to the second floor of the villa.

The second-floor living room was empty, not a soul in sight.

Ye Qiu scanned the area and saw four bedrooms, three with their doors wide open.

They were empty.

Ye Qiu walked straight to the fourth room, kicked the door open with a bang, and saw Yellow Hair.

Yellow Hair held a gun in one hand and gripped a handsome man in his thirties with the other.

Jin Changxu!

Ye Qiu recognised the man being held by Yellow Hair as the famous Korean celebrity, Jin Changxu.

Ye Qiu stepped into the bedroom.

“Don’t come closer, or I’ll shoot!” Yellow Hair shouted.

Ye Qiu, as if he hadn’t heard, swaggered forward.

“Bang!”

Yellow Hair fired, the bullet speeding towards Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu ignored the bullet and kept walking.

“Courting death!” Yellow Hair cursed, thinking Ye Qiu was suicidal for not dodging.

But the next second, Yellow Hair’s pupils shrank.

The bullet hit Ye Qiu’s chest with a clang and bounced off.

“What the hell!”

Yellow Hair exclaimed, instinctively pulling the trigger again.

“Bang, bang, bang!”

Bullets rained down, but after hitting Ye Qiu, they instantly ricocheted away.

Yellow Hair emptied his clip, yet Ye Qiu remained unscathed.

“Are you human or a ghost?” Yellow Hair asked, his voice trembling with fear.

Jin Changxu’s eyes widened, dumbfounded.

The same question echoed in his mind: was this man human or a ghost?

Ye Qiu grinned at Yellow Hair, “Why’d you stop shooting?”

Out of bullets.

Yellow Hair thought to himself, then quickly pulled a dagger from his pocket, pressing it to Jin Changxu’s throat, shouting at Ye Qiu, “Don’t move!”

“Move, and I’ll slit his throat first!”

Yellow Hair thought, you might not fear bullets, but I bet Jin Changxu fears a blade.

Ye Qiu stopped in his tracks.

Yellow Hair let out a quiet sigh of relief, thankful the guy didn’t act recklessly, or he’d be done for.

But at that moment, Yellow Hair’s vision blurred, and he suddenly realised the dagger in his hand was gone.

Where’d it go?

In a panic, Yellow Hair looked down at the floor.

“Looking for your dagger? It’s with me.” Ye Qiu’s voice sounded.

Yellow Hair looked up and saw his dagger in Ye Qiu’s hand, being toyed with.

“How did my dagger end up in your hand?”

Yellow Hair asked, bewildered.

Ye Qiu didn’t answer but said, “This dagger of yours is rubbish. Next time, get a better one.”

With that, Ye Qiu flicked the dagger with his right index finger.

Clang!

The dagger turned to dust.

Yellow Hair felt a chill run down his spine, swallowing hard and stammering, “What, what do you want?”

“Let him go,” Ye Qiu said.

Yellow Hair immediately released Jin Changxu.

“Zhang Zihao and you lot looted an ancient tomb. How much did you sell the stuff for?” Ye Qiu asked.

“Nine hundred million,” Yellow Hair answered.

“Where’s the money?”

“Gone.”

“Nine hundred million, gone that fast? What did you do, gamble? Or are you messing with me?” Ye Qiu’s eyes narrowed, glaring at Yellow Hair.

Yellow Hair, terrified, said, “I’m not lying, I swear! Boss Hao took the money to invest in online finance, saying the interest was high and we’d double our money in months. But as soon as we transferred the funds, the company’s boss ran off with his mistress and the cash.”

“That nearly killed Boss Hao with rage.”

“He said he’d head to Australia soon to take out that boss.”

Serves him right!

Why invest in online finance of all things? That’s just asking for trouble.

In recent years, countless financial companies in China collapsed, some involving billions, leaving investors with nothing.

Many ordinary people, lured by high interest, poured their life savings into these schemes, only to lose everything. Some even ended up with broken families or worse.

Zhang Zihao didn’t learn from this and still dared to invest in online finance—what did he expect?

Ye Qiu asked Yellow Hair, “Sold everything from the tomb?”

Yellow Hair said, “Most of it. A few items are still in the study on the third floor.”

“Show me.”

Yellow Hair didn’t dare defy Ye Qiu and led him to the third-floor study.

Pushing open the door, Ye Qiu saw two large blue-and-white porcelain vases, exquisitely crafted, clearly valuable.

“Boss Hao had them appraised. Said these vases could fetch a few hundred million, but we haven’t found the right buyer, so they’re still here.”

“The rest are just broken pieces, worthless.”

Ye Qiu glanced around. Yellow Hair wasn’t lying; some cracked porcelain and bronze items were discarded on the floor.

Suddenly, Ye Qiu spotted something among the broken pieces, and his heart raced with shock.
