Heaven Devourer Chapter 108

A jet-black flying sword shot straight for Mo Fan’s face, startling him.

“What kind of spell is this?!”

It was Mo Fan’s first encounter with such a bizarre technique, and he didn’t dare touch it with his body, opening his mouth to release a flash of golden light.

“Buzz—!”

The golden light blazed brilliantly, forcing Brother Song below to instinctively close his eyes.

“Pfft, pfft, pfft…!”

A series of soft sounds rang out, the massive golden brick stood unmoved, with a thought from Mo Fan, it plummeted downwards to crush everything!

Boom!!

The ground shook, but a figure flickered, narrowly dodging.

Mo Fan paid it no mind, opening his mouth to shoot another flying sword straight at Brother Song!

“Ink Art, Guarding Charm!”

Brother Song snorted coldly, flinging off his outer robe towards the flying sword, his hands swiftly forming seals.

Instantly, inky characters emerged from the robe’s inner lining, like swarming ants, forming a massive character in the air.

Guard!

Mo Fan was slightly surprised but sneered, “Playing tricks, watch me break it with one strike!”

“Swish!”

The flying sword sped closer, piercing the inky “Guard” character!

Yet, the expected devastation didn’t occur.

The sword was actually blocked!

Not only that, as the sword clashed with the character, ink splattered like sparks, scattering everywhere!

“Ink Art, Robe Charm!”

“Bind!”

At that moment, Brother Song spoke again, the white robe he’d thrown earlier flying towards Mo Fan, attempting to bind him.

“Thanks for the treasure!”

Mo Fan, far from alarmed, laughed joyously, opening his mouth to swallow the incoming robe whole!

“What?!”

Brother Song’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Mo Fan snorted, seizing the moment of his opponent’s shaken mind, amplifying his demonic energy, the flying sword bursting with dazzling light!

“Break!”

With Mo Fan’s low shout, the inky “Guard” character shattered, dissolving into a puddle of ink on the ground.

“Swish!”

Unhindered by the charm, the flying sword let out a piercing whistle, nearing its target in an instant.

“Hold!!”

“Block it!!”

Brother Song roared, desperately summoning a bamboo scroll before him.

The scroll glowed, instantly enlarging and turning golden!

“Clang!!”

A metallic clash rang out, the flying sword stalled again, its tip sparking!

Brother Song gritted his teeth, yet even so, he felt enveloped by a deathly aura, knowing he was no match for this demon, he pulled out a talisman and activated it.

“Boom!”

The talisman shot skyward and exploded, forming a giant “Demon” character in the air.

“Vile beast! I’ve activated the Demon Signal Talisman, all my sect brothers within a hundred miles will see it and rush here!”

“If you keep fighting me, you’re doomed!!”

Brother Song spoke fiercely, though inwardly trembling.

“Oh? Is that so?”

Mo Fan’s lips curled, stepping towards Brother Song, smiling, “It’s not as grand as you make it sound, I just need to kill you before your sect brothers arrive.”

“Wha… what?!”

Brother Song’s body shook, his face darkening, gritting his teeth, “My bamboo scroll is a mid-grade defensive artifact, enhanced with Guarding Charms, you can’t even break my defence, how will you kill me!”

“Vile beast, I gave you a chance, if you don’t take it, prepare to die!”

“Mid-grade defensive artifact?”

Mo Fan ignored his words, reaching the flying sword, grasping its hilt, his smile growing brighter.

“Is a mid-grade defensive artifact that impressive?”

“I’m holding a high-grade flying sword artifact!”

“So, sorry, you have to die!”

Mo Fan’s body was enveloped in demonic energy, with a fierce tug, the flying sword pierced through the golden bamboo scroll, then, under Brother Song’s despairing gaze, stabbed through his heart!

“Brother Song!!”

“Demon, die!”

At that moment, another roar erupted, brimming with chilling killing intent.

Mo Fan turned to see a Dahe Academy disciple charging, his writing brush transforming into a spear-like weapon, thrusting fiercely at him!

“You know I’m a demon and still come to die?”

“Pathetic fool!”

Mo Fan spoke calmly, his demonic energy surging, throwing a punch!

Little Thunderclap Fist!

“Pfft!”

The punch was unstoppable, snapping the disciple’s brush and sending him flying.

The disciple flew several yards before crashing to the ground, blood frothing from his mouth, his face ashen.

Yet he still glared up at the approaching Mo Fan, gritting his teeth, “Demon, if I don’t die today…”

Before he could finish, Mo Fan bit off his head!

“No, you will die, and you must, so there won’t be any ‘later’.”

Mo Fan chewed, speaking softly, blood dripping from his teeth.

This time, Mo Fan didn’t feel nauseous, making him laugh skyward, though tears slid from his eyes.

At some point, he felt himself drifting further from humanity.

From this moment, he truly accepted he was a demon!

“Big Head, if you’re not dead, get over here and clean up the battlefield, if you’re dead, I’ll eat you myself!”

Mo Fan, after a moment’s silence, suddenly spoke.

“C-Coming…”

Big Head crawled up from the ground, covered in wounds, a piercing injury on his chest, yet walking without issue.

Mo Fan’s eyes flickered, realising Big Head had been playing dead.

“Don’t let it happen again!”

Mo Fan snorted, retrieving his artifacts, leaving a word before walking off, his voice echoing, “The loot’s mine, the bodies are yours, eat what you can, take the rest, plenty of little ones haven’t had a taste.”

“Got it!”

Big Head nodded, looking at Mo Fan’s back, a chill running through him.

He realised this guy was far stronger than he’d imagined!

He also understood the so-called cat-and-mouse game, he and the human cultivators were just the mice!

Realising this, his awe for Mo Fan grew.

Big Head quickly cleaned the battlefield, leaving only bloodstains, and chased after Mo Fan.

Catching up, Big Head handed over all the loot without keeping any, earning a silent nod from Mo Fan.

“You were so strong when we fought, why were you so cowardly just now?” Mo Fan asked, frowning.

“Ahem… don’t blame me, I have innate divine powers, but I’m a water demon, my strength shines in water.

On land, my power’s greatly reduced,” Big Head said glumly, gritting his teeth, “In water, those four combined wouldn’t be enough for me to kill!”

Mo Fan nodded, aware of such demon traits, just hadn’t considered it before.

The two demons ventured deeper into the Yaoling Mountains, nearing Black Wind Mountain, when Mo Fan’s pupils contracted!

On a tree trunk ahead, a stark “Death” character was carved!

“What’s wrong?”

Big Head, seeing Mo Fan pause, asked, then noticed the character.

“What’s that word?”

“Let’s go, we’ll take a detour!”

Mo Fan’s expression shifted, choosing a detour, only to find the “Death” character appearing again and again ahead.

“When did Dahe Academy disciples start playing such sneaky games?”
