“Damn it, what the hell is this thing?”
The leader of the Wind-Thunder Sword Sect, watching Chu Feng right in front of him yet unable to harm him, was trembling with rage.
It wasn’t just him. The leaders of the All-Heaven Sect and the Nine-Star Heavenly Mountain were equally furious.
“What’s the use of glaring at me like that?” Chu Feng said to the All-Heaven Sect leader. “If you’ve got the skills, come and catch me.”
In truth, Chu Feng had no ill will toward the other five sect leaders. His target was solely the leader of the All-Heaven Sect.
“These lowlife tactics might protect you for now, but they won’t save you forever,” the All-Heaven Sect leader said. Despite his seething anger, he maintained a composed facade, exuding confidence as if he was certain he could capture Chu Feng.
“Lowlife?” Chu Feng retorted. “My methods are out in the open, fair and square. It’s you who can’t break through them. Your skills are inferior, yet you call my methods lowlife?
“If we’re talking lowlife, isn’t it your All-Heaven Sect that’s been using the stone box to steal power and boost your disciples and elders, breaking the fair competition among the six major forces? That’s the real lowlife move.”
Chu Feng turned to the other five sect leaders. “Everyone, there’s no need for such hostility toward me. I have no enmity with you. I came here today only for the All-Heaven Sect.”
“Young friend, if you truly bear no hostility, leave the treasures you obtained here, and we won’t make things difficult for you,” said the leader of the Miao Clan.
“Senior, that won’t do. These treasures were taken from the All-Heaven Sect. Why should I hand them over to you?” Chu Feng replied. “I’ll say it again: my business here is a personal grudge with the All-Heaven Sect. It has nothing to do with you. I advise you to stay out of it.”
“Bullshit!” the Nine-Star Heavenly Mountain leader roared. “The stone box belongs to all six of our forces. You took its treasures—how dare you say it has nothing to do with us?”
“You,” Chu Feng said, eyeing the Nine-Star Heavenly Mountain leader with disdain. “How can someone so ill-mannered live to such an age and still be a sect leader? Did you climb to that position just because of your cultivation?
“If so, it’s no wonder the All-Heaven Sect has been playing you for a fool.” Chu Feng’s gaze was filled with contempt, treating the lofty figure like a clown.
“You vile beast! Hand over the treasures, or I’ll make sure you die a miserable death!” the Nine-Star Heavenly Mountain leader, already hot-tempered, grew even more enraged at Chu Feng’s insults.
“Vile?” Chu Feng scoffed. “I’m a junior, and I entered the stone box world within the rules. What’s vile about that?
“Nangong Yifan defeated the juniors of your five forces using the power of the stone box. That elder from the All-Heaven Sect entered the stone box world as a senior, also using its power. The ones cheating are the All-Heaven Sect.
“I, on the other hand, relied on my own strength. In fact, if I hadn’t acted today, the treasures here would’ve undoubtedly gone to the All-Heaven Sect.
“Instead of targeting them, you’re coming after me? You lot are truly foolish—fooled so badly you’re counting money for the ones who sold you out.”
Chu Feng’s words dripped with sarcasm.
Hearing this, the five sect leaders turned their displeased gazes toward the All-Heaven Sect leader.
Chu Feng’s words made sense. If he hadn’t intervened, Nangong Yifan’s performance would’ve given the All-Heaven Sect a clear lead. Even if Nangong couldn’t secure the treasures as easily as Chu Feng had, he would’ve outshone the others.
“Don’t be misled by him,” the All-Heaven Sect leader quickly said. “The methods Yifan used were his own. As for where they came from, I’ll investigate thoroughly. As for Elder Lu Yingzhuo, he did steal the stone box’s power, but that was his own doing. The All-Heaven Sect was unaware.”
“Hmph,” a scornful laugh interrupted him.
It was Chu Feng.
“Figure it out yourselves,” Chu Feng said.
As he spoke, the space in front of him distorted, and a formation gate appeared, spinning rapidly like a bottomless abyss, somewhat eerie.
Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Chu Feng stepped into the formation gate.
“Beast, don’t you dare leave!” The six sect leaders panicked, using every technique they had to try to break through the invisible barrier blocking them.
But they couldn’t breach it.
They could only watch as Chu Feng vanished into the formation gate.
Then, something strange happened.
Shortly after Chu Feng disappeared, the barrier blocking them vanished.
Once it was gone, the six sect leaders could approach the formation gate.
They immediately tried to enter it.
But as they passed through, they were stunned.
They had indeed gone through the gate, but only from one side to the other.
In other words, they passed through it but couldn’t enter it.
They were still standing in place.
Chu Feng, however, was long gone.
“What the hell is this thing?” The six sect leaders, towering figures in their own right, were like headless flies, utterly lost.
They knew they couldn’t enter the formation gate, yet they kept trying.
No matter how they tried, they only passed through it, unable to enter.
Even the onlookers from other forces were stirred by this scene.
They all knew that, despite the six leaders’ lofty status and formidable cultivation, they had been thoroughly outplayed today.
They watched a junior run rampant in the stone box world, powerless to stop him.
Even when that junior walked away calmly before their eyes, they couldn’t stop him.
They couldn’t even follow the path he took.
Today, they had been utterly defeated.
