Master Of The Blade Chapter 2649

Hearing Yun Qi’s words, Ye Xuan was momentarily speechless.

Her comment made him feel like body cultivators were being demeaned.

At that moment, Yun Qi suddenly said, “We need to go. The commotion you caused was too big. It might attract a lot of people.”

Ye Xuan nodded. “Alright.”

As they prepared to leave, several powerful auras suddenly surged from the distance.

Seeing this, Ye Xuan’s brows furrowed.

Yun Qi remained calm.

Three figures appeared before them: an old man and two middle-aged men, with the old man in the lead.

The old man looked at Ye Xuan and Yun Qi. “You’ve obtained the legacy of a Heavenly End Realm expert.”

Ye Xuan was about to speak when Yun Qi nodded. “Yes. We split it evenly.”

Ye Xuan was speechless.

At her words, the three men’s gazes turned fiery.

Suddenly, Yun Qi pulled out a wooden plaque and said, “Look at this.”

Seeing the plaque, the old man’s face changed instantly. “You… you’re from the Northern Sect.”

Yun Qi nodded. “Yes.”

The old man quickly bowed respectfully, his voice trembling. “Apologies for the disturbance. Please forgive us, miss.”

Yun Qi said, “Leave your things and go.”

Without hesitation, the three men placed their storage rings on the ground and vanished into the horizon.

Yun Qi opened her palm, and the three rings flew to her. She glanced at them, frowning slightly. “So poor.”

But she kept them.

Ye Xuan suddenly asked, “Is the Northern Sect that powerful?”

Yun Qi turned to him. “You’ve never heard of it?”

Ye Xuan shook his head. “No.”

Yun Qi nodded slightly. “If you haven’t, never mind.”

She walked toward Boundary Mountain.

Ye Xuan shrugged and followed.

Yun Qi suddenly asked, “I forgot to ask, where are you from?”

Ye Xuan said, “The Four Directions Universe. Know it?”

Yun Qi nodded. “I’ve heard of it but never been there.”

Ye Xuan asked, “And you?”

Yun Qi said, “The Northern Realm, one of the three realms.”

Ye Xuan shook his head. “Never heard of it.”

Yun Qi glanced at him. “You’re like a rich landlord’s son.”

Ye Xuan’s face darkened.

Yun Qi added, “I saw you get ten million dao crystals earlier, and you weren’t even excited. You seemed a bit disdainful. Not only that, you got a Heavenly End Realm expert’s legacy and haven’t even looked at it.”

She shook her head. “If you weren’t so calm, I might’ve considered killing you for your treasures. Just kidding, of course. I’m a principled person.”

Ye Xuan said, “I can tell.”

Yun Qi asked, “Are you really rich?”

Ye Xuan quickly shook his head. “No.”

Yun Qi looked at him, dissatisfied. “I told you, I don’t rob people.”

Ye Xuan was silent. You just took their stuff.

Yun Qi added, “That Heavenly End Realm expert said you’re trying to overthrow the Master of the Great Dao Pen’s order. Is that true?”

Ye Xuan countered, “Is your Northern Sect also against the Master of the Great Dao Pen?”

Yun Qi shook her head. “We wouldn’t dare.”

Ye Xuan frowned. “Wouldn’t dare?”

Yun Qi said, “Of course not.”

She glanced around, then said, “Back then, those experts thought strength in numbers would let them challenge the Dao Sect. But one Heavenly Dao wiped them all out.”

She shook her head. “Tragic.”

Ye Xuan: “…”

They reached the foot of Boundary Mountain. Before them was a clear river, its bottom visible.

Yun Qi said softly, “They say the legendary Boundary Ruler is here.”

Ye Xuan was curious. “Boundary Ruler?”

Yun Qi nodded. “Third on the Three Realms Divine Artifact List. If we get it, we’ll be set.”

Ye Xuan asked, “What are the first and second?”

Yun Qi smiled. “Second is the Dao Blade, wielded by the Heavenly Dao of the Three Realms. One slash, and your body would be cut to pieces.”

Ye Xuan: “…”

Yun Qi continued, “First is the legendary Three Realms Seal, crafted by the Master of the Great Dao Pen. It holds the power of the Three Realms’ laws. One strike, and even a Heavenly End Realm expert would be reduced to nothing.”

She opened her palm, revealing a palm-sized golden seal with two mysterious runes, one black, one white.

Yun Qi said, “I made a replica.”

Ye Xuan looked at her. “You made it?”

Yun Qi nodded. “I’m actually a forger. I can make many things, especially replicas. I can copy any divine artifact.”

She glanced at Ye Xuan. “Got any special treasures? Let me see.”

Ye Xuan quickly shook his head. “No.”

Yun Qi huffed, dissatisfied. “Stingy.”

Ye Xuan was speechless.

Yun Qi put away the Three Realms Seal and continued, “If I get the Boundary Ruler, I can replicate it. One copy could sell for ten million dao crystals. Ten copies, a hundred million.”

She smiled faintly. “To get rich quick, sell fakes.”

Ye Xuan asked curiously, “How much weaker are your replicas compared to the originals?”

Yun Qi thought for a moment, then said, “About seventy percent of the original’s power.”

Ye Xuan was silent.

Damn.

That’s already incredible.

Yun Qi sighed softly. “I’ve spent too much money on research lately. The Northern Sect won’t fund me anymore, so I have to earn my own.”

She looked at Boundary Mountain. “I heard Qian Boundary, that Heavenly End Realm expert, fell here. I investigated before coming. He was wealthy, and his legacy should be substantial.”

Ye Xuan said, “Let’s go check the mountain.”

Yun Qi nodded.

They started crossing the river when it suddenly rippled. Ye Xuan frowned. To their right, an old man appeared.

The old man sat by the river, holding a smoking pipe, staring coldly at them.

Yun Qi glanced at him. “What are you doing?”

The old man narrowed his eyes. “This mountain is off-limits.”

Yun Qi sized him up and said, “Just Minor Order Realm. So weak.”

Ye Xuan was speechless. Why did this woman’s words always sting?

As expected, the old man was furious. “How dare you…”

Yun Qi pulled out her plaque. “Take a look.”

Seeing it, the old man froze. “You… you’re from the Northern Sect.”

Yun Qi nodded.

His face turned grim.

Yun Qi asked, “Old man, what’s your role here?”

The old man hesitated, then said, “I’m the mountain’s guardian.”

His tone softened significantly.

Yun Qi frowned. “Who told you to guard it? Qian Boundary?”

The old man shook his head. “No, it’s…”

Yun Qi raised an eyebrow. “You’re not just a lookout, are you?”

The old man looked embarrassed.

Ye Xuan was speechless.

He’d thought this was a big shot, but he was just a lookout.

Yun Qi suddenly looked at the mountain. “Someone’s already gone up.”

Ye Xuan nodded.

Yun Qi said, “Let’s go up too.”

She and Ye Xuan headed up the mountain.

The old man quickly stepped aside, not daring to block Northern Sect members.

Yun Qi and Ye Xuan quickened their pace. Soon, they reached the summit, where six people were already gathered, facing off tensely.

Seeing Ye Xuan and Yun Qi, the six froze, then grew wary.

An old man suddenly frowned. “You’re from the Northern Sect.”

Northern Sect.

At those words, the other five’s faces changed, their eyes filling with caution.

Yun Qi ignored them, scanning the area. Suddenly, she spotted a straw hut to the right.

Her lips curled slightly.

The six grew more alert.

The lead old man said gravely, “That hut was in a secret realm. We worked together to break the formation and bring it out.”

Yun Qi nodded. “You worked hard.”

The six: “???”

Yun Qi looked at the hut again. The old man’s brows furrowed, his right hand clenching.

How could he let go of a treasure they’d worked for?

Yun Qi suddenly said, “Since you found it, we won’t take it.”

She turned to Ye Xuan. “Let’s go.”

With that, she walked away.

Seeing her leave, Ye Xuan was stunned. Was she really leaving?

Without thinking too much, he followed.

Under the six’s gazes, they headed down the mountain. Soon, they reached the base.

At the summit, the lead old man said gravely, “They must be waiting for us to fight each other so they can swoop in.”

He glanced at the five. “Qian Boundary’s treasure can’t be taken alone. I suggest we split it evenly. What do you think?”

After a moment’s silence, the five nodded.

As he said, no one could claim it alone, so splitting it was the only option.

The six reached an agreement and approached the hut.

At the base, Ye Xuan looked at Yun Qi. “Really giving up?”

Yun Qi nodded. “They found it. It’s theirs.”

Ye Xuan smiled. “Fair enough.”

Suddenly, six piercing screams echoed from the summit, then vanished.

Ye Xuan glanced up. Yun Qi said softly, “Now we can go up.”

She turned and headed back up.

Ye Xuan followed, asking, “You knew they’d die?”

Yun Qi opened her palm, revealing a scroll. Ye Xuan opened it, seeing three large characters: Qian Boundary.

He flipped it open. Two more words: Not Dead.

Not dead.

Ye Xuan froze.

Yun Qi glanced at him. “Qian Boundary was healing here, hiding from the Dao Sect. Those guys went through all that effort to drag him out. Isn’t that asking for death?”

Ye Xuan said gravely, “If we go, won’t he attack us too?”

Yun Qi said, “I have backing.”

Ye Xuan was silent.

Yun Qi turned to him. “Is relying on family shameful?”

Ye Xuan said earnestly, “Of course not.”

Yun Qi nodded slightly. “I don’t think so either. Great minds think alike.”
