The woman stared at him. “Can you defeat it?”
Ye Xuan thought for a moment, then replied, “I could give it a try!”
The woman shook her head. “You’re bragging!”
Ye Xuan laughed. “Do you want to leave or not?”
The woman nodded. “I do!”
Ye Xuan smiled. “Then come with us! As for the Cosmic Spirit, I’ll have a word with it when the time comes!”
The woman stared at him. “You won’t be able to talk to it! No, it simply won’t talk to you. With its temper, it will slice you to death on the spot!”
Ye Xuan said, “I meant I’ll represent my family when I talk to it!”
The woman frowned slightly. “Represent your family?”
Ye Xuan nodded and grinned. “Exactly!”

After a brief silence, Qin Tian Dao said, “Countless ages ago, I was the Heavenly Dao of this realm. I was created by the Cosmic Spirit to manage the cosmos and its people while it slept.”
Ye Xuan was puzzled. “Then why did it lock you up?”
Qin Tian Dao fell silent.
Ye Xuan frowned, a little displeased. “Not going to tell me?”
