“Tenfold Heaven… Myriad Souls Demon Sect…”
Chen Ping quietly repeated the name, his eyes flickering.
He knew that the level of Tenfold Heaven far surpassed Ninth Heaven. There, powerful cultivators abounded, sects stood in great numbers, and the rules were even more brutal.
Shen Zhiyan looked at Chen Ping and said gravely, “Mr Chen, Tenfold Heaven is no ordinary place. It far exceeds Ninth Heaven.”
“Countless strong cultivators reside there, and Heavenly Immortal realm experts are everywhere.”
“That Myriad Souls Demon Sect sounds anything but benevolent. If the Soul Devourer goes there, he will surely thrive like a fish in water. This matter requires careful consideration…”
Liu Xue also showed worry on her face and held Chen Ping’s hand. “Tenfold Heaven is too dangerous. If you go alone, I won’t feel at ease.”
Chen Ping fell silent for a moment, his gaze sweeping over everyone before finally becoming utterly resolute.
“Senior Shen, Liu Xue, my mind is made up.”
Chen Ping’s voice was calm, yet carried an unquestionable determination. “That fiend, the Soul Devourer, bears grudges and is insidious and cunning. Since he has already threatened us, if I do not go, when he returns one day, Ninth Heaven will surely be drenched in blood. This threat must be eradicated at the root!”
He paused, then continued, “Moreover, my path was never meant to stop at Ninth Heaven. A higher world, stronger opponents, these are the goals I pursue. I must go to Tenfold Heaven!”
He turned to Shen Zhiyan and Yan Nantian. “Senior Shen, Sect Master Yan, Ninth Heaven has only just stabilised. It appears submissive on the surface, but dark currents surge beneath.”
“Both Yama Heaven Sect and New Heaven Gate need you to hold the fort to remain secure.”
“The dragon clan army also needs time to recuperate and absorb the gains from this campaign. Your staying here is far more important than following me to Tenfold Heaven.”
He looked at Liu Xue and spoke gently, “Xue’er, Heaven Gate has only just been established, with everything yet to be rebuilt. As the master of Heaven Gate, you cannot leave.”
“Besides, the path ahead in Tenfold Heaven is unknown. I cannot let you risk danger with me. Stay in Ninth Heaven, develop Heaven Gate well, and wait for my return.”
Finally, he turned to Old Black, who was eager to join, and Cen Biqing, whose eyes were full of concern. “Old Black, Little Qing, I leave the dragon clan army to you. Assist Liu Xue, guard Ninth Heaven, and work hard to increase your strength. Once I have gained a firm foothold in Tenfold Heaven, I may need you to come and help.”
Chen Ping’s arrangements were clear and thorough.
Though everyone was worried, they knew this was currently the best choice.
Shen Zhiyan sighed, knowing further persuasion was useless, and could only solemnly warn, “Tenfold Heaven is unlike here. Be careful in all things, do not act rashly, and prioritise your own safety.”
Yan Nantian patted Chen Ping on the shoulder. “Mr Chen, take care! Yama Heaven Sect will always be your backing.”
Liu Xue’s beautiful eyes brimmed with tears. A thousand words became one sentence. “You must return safely.”
Old Black rumbled in his gruff voice, “Mr Chen, rest assured. With me, Old Black, here, Ninth Heaven will not fall into chaos! Hurry and carve out some territory over there so we can go and enjoy the good life with you!”
Though Cen Biqing said little, her cool gaze was filled with earnest advice.
Chen Ping etched everyone’s affection into his heart and nodded heavily.
Without further delay, he took a deep breath. Immortal power surged within his body, and his hands slowly traced through the air.
His comprehension of spatial laws far exceeded those of the same level. Now, exerting himself fully, he invoked the power of the void.
“Buzz!”
A twisted void passage, radiating unstable fluctuations, was forcibly torn open in front of him!
At the other end of the passage lay a chaotic, blurred world that exuded an aura far vaster and more dangerous than Ninth Heaven, Tenfold Heaven!
“Awoo!”
The little fire qilin on his shoulder seemed to sense something and let out a low cry that was both excited and slightly nervous. Its small claws gripped Chen Ping’s clothes tightly.
Chen Ping looked back one last time, gazing deeply at his companions behind him and the land where he had fought so hard. His eyes were resolute, with no lingering attachment.
“Everyone, take care!”
Before his words finished, he stepped forward, his figure vanishing into the turbulent void passage.
The little fire qilin followed closely.
After he entered, the void passage flickered violently several times before slowly closing and disappearing.
Within Burial Soul Abyss, only Shen Zhiyan and the others remained, staring at the spot where Chen Ping had vanished, silent for a long while.
