Code Mage Chapter 601 - LiddRead

Code Mage Chapter 601

Ye Chui’s iPad possesses a wondrous power. It can exchange for and summon all sorts of items and heroic spirits from the resource library.

At first, Ye Chui thought he was simply pulling heroic spirits from parallel worlds. Now, however, he understood the truth. There were no parallel worlds. The anime and films in the resource library were all fictional, things that did not exist. Yet the supreme God of Gods possessed such immense power that illusions could be turned into reality. The iPad had sealed that power.

Ye Chui’s summoning and exchanging were merely ways of using that power, turning fantasy into reality. Now he had fully inherited, or rather awakened, the entire power. He could freely materialise any ultimate human-like existence from films and anime, bringing them fully into the world to fight for him.

This was his power: ultimate fantasy, turning the unreal into the real, standing at the very pinnacle of everything.

“You scum with only five points of combat power. Aaaaaah, Super Saiyan transformation!!!”

“At last I can fully unlock all my power? Ever since I went bald, I have become stronger too!”

“My Infinity Gauntlet is already crazed with thirst for blood and death.”

“Let me ask, do any of you have a mother called Martha?”

Ye Chui’s fantasy army.

The Demon Emperor and his seven supreme demons perished in fierce battle. As Ye Chui’s eternal rival, the Demon Emperor was scarcely inferior to him. To fight Ye Chui for ten thousand years was proof enough of his strength. He was only weaker by a hair’s breadth, yet that tiny margin made all the difference when facing the demons. The Demon Emperor could only struggle without victory, while Ye Chui utterly crushed the supreme demons.

As Ye Chui’s fantasy legion thrashed the demons, a meteor suddenly appeared in the sky above the Castor Continent.

Or rather, a falling sun.

A terrifying fireball streaked across the heavens.

Countless people, even demons, trembled in terror, believing the final doomsday had arrived. Had the falling sun struck the Castor Continent, it would surely have shattered the land into pieces.

Fortunately, the meteor did not land on the continent. It flew instead toward the endless eastern sea.

Towering waves rose, then mysteriously subsided.

No one knew how vast the seas around the Castor Continent truly were. The ocean had no end. Human adventurers had tried to find the edge of the world, but all returned empty-handed. At that moment, several adventure ships out on the open water survived terrifying waves, their exhausted crews believing death was upon them. Then, suddenly, everything grew calm.

Under the morning light, a deckhand cried out in astonishment.

“A continent! There is a continent ahead!”

“Impossible. We have sailed this route before. There is no continent here. It must be an illusion created by sea demons.”

“No, Captain, I trust my own eyes. That is definitely a continent. It is so real. The meteor that just fell ahead of us turned into that continent!”

“You brat, I was sailing before you were born. How could a continent appear out of nowhere…”

The captain grumbled, but when he reached the deck he fell silent, stunned, his face slowly filling with disbelief, his jaw almost dropping to the floor.

“There really is a new continent?”

Perhaps by chance, perhaps influenced subtly by Ye Chui’s will, the adventurer captain was named Columbus, his ship the Sanbao Hao. He became the first person to discover the suddenly appearing eastern continent.

That eastern continent would later be called the God-Created Continent.

God-Created Continent!

After leaving the God-Sin Continent, Ye Chui gathered all its imprisoned fragments, fused them into one enormous new continent slightly larger than the Castor Continent, and brought it into the same world.

The inhabitants of the God-Sin Continent were at last freed from five thousand years of imprisonment and oppression. They breathed the outside air and felt warm sunlight.

The battle inside the Supreme Temple ended swiftly. The temple that had suppressed the River of Destiny turned to ash and vanished at Ye Chui’s gesture.

Standing in the void, Ye Chui recalled his fantasy legion. With a smile he looked toward a certain spot in the emptiness. A young girl suddenly appeared there, skipping joyfully to his side and throwing herself into his arms.

The Goddess of Destiny, Aiwa.

She had been the final defence in the war of destiny. Fused with destiny itself, she was Ye Chui’s only hope of resurrection. The Supreme Temple had existed solely to suppress her. Because of the demons, for five thousand years she could not appear before anyone. She could only watch the world quietly from afar. Now that the supreme demons were destroyed, everything was finally over.

“Dad, this battle is over at last.”

“Yes, it is over.”

Ye Chui held his daughter tenderly. After five thousand years of loneliness, the Goddess of Destiny wept freely.

Ye Chui looked down at the Castor Continent, his voice cold. “However, those demons are not entirely gone…”

“Dad, humans have their own beliefs. They will deal with those creatures.” The Goddess of Destiny smiled. “I have already seen it. I have seen humanity’s bright future.”

The supreme demons were dead, yet countless lower demons still roamed the continent. Over five thousand years they had infected the world’s causality. Once immortal void beings, they could now be killed, but Ye Chui could not erase their existence in one stroke. They lurked in every dark corner, intertwined with human life and fate.

Yet humanity had become the dominant race on the Castor Continent not merely because a Magic Emperor had risen among them, nor because a God of Gods had been born. It was because of the resilience inherent in the human race itself.

Faced with the demonic threat, humans united and gave birth to the unique profession of “Demon Slayer”.

The demons would never again stir great storms.

In the continent’s ancient days, ten thousand races stood equal. The Demon Emperor ushered in the Magic Era. Then came ten thousand years of the Chaos Era. Ye Chui founded the divine race, bringing ten thousand years of the Divine Era. After the gods fell, demons ruled the continent for five thousand years of the Fallen Gods Era.

Now a new era was about to begin.

“Aiwa, let us go. Everyone is waiting for us, and the coffee will get cold.” Ye Chui took the Goddess of Destiny’s hand and smiled. “We still have much to do.”

“Dad, are you going to rebuild the divine race?”

“No, Aiwa. In the new era, there will be no need for gods…”

In a small town on the banks of the Warm Water River.

After the great catastrophe, the once cosy town had become dark and cold. People lived in fear. Most demons were confined east of the Doomsday Mountains, yet a few still slipped into the western lands.

Not long ago, in a nearby village someone had been tempted by a demon, turned into a frenzied monster, and slaughtered everyone in the village.

The incident left everyone even more terrified.

Thus, when word spread that a woman tempted by a demon had been captured, the entire town mobilised. Residents gathered in the central square, lit a bonfire, and prepared to burn the woman to death.

Women corrupted by demons were now called witches.

“Burn her. She must be the one who killed everyone in the neighbouring village.”
