“Lend me a hand?” Lin Yun was taken aback.
“This is an Immeasurable Divine Stone, containing many mysteries. If you absorb it into your body, you may gain significant insights.”
The Black Mist Figure flipped his hand, revealing a thumb-sized, multicoloured stone.
“An Immeasurable Divine Stone? Is this… a reward from the Heavenly Fire Temple?” Lin Yun asked, puzzled.
“No, this is my personal treasure. I obtained this Immeasurable Divine Stone in the Ancestral Land. It’s quite a valuable item,” the Black Mist Figure explained.
“Old Black, if that’s the case, why would you give such a treasure to me without reason?” Lin Yun asked, bewildered.
Though they were both Heavenly Fire Commanders under the Heavenly Fire Temple, their relationship wasn’t particularly close.
There’s no such thing as a free lunch, and Lin Yun found it suspicious.

For the Black Mist Figure, this was a risky investment. If Lin Yun passed the ultimate trial and earned the qualification to go to the Ancestral Land, the investment would pay off.
