Ancestral Conquest Chapter 247

After the guard left.

“Mother, with this Purple Scale Grass, it won’t take long for me to reach the Nascent Soul Realm!” Lin Yun excitedly rushed to his mother.

“Yun’er, this is the result of your own hard work. You are your mother’s pride,” Yan Shi said, her face beaming with a gratified smile.

“The First Lady has arrived!”

A loud voice came from outside Pleasant Garden.

Yan Shi and Lin Yun simultaneously looked up, seeing the First Lady entering the courtyard with Lin Wei.

“Mother, why are they here?” Lin Yun frowned, the smile on his face completely vanishing.

Especially when Lin Yun saw Lin Wei, his fists clenched instinctively.

The incident of being beaten by Lin Wei had happened just yesterday, and the anger in Lin Yun’s heart had not yet subsided.

For Lin Yun, the pain of the injury was one thing, but what angered him most was that Lin Wei had insulted his mother yesterday, calling her a lowly slave.

“Yun’er, didn’t your father say that Lin Wei was to come and apologise to you? Since your father said so, he will surely follow through,” Yan Shi said.

Lin Yun suddenly understood.

At this moment, the First Lady had already brought Lin Wei to stand before Lin Yun and Yan Shi.

“Greetings, First Lady,” Yan Shi immediately bowed.

“Greetings, First Lady,” Lin Yun followed suit.

Though young, Lin Yun had been taught by his mother that he must bow to the First Lady as a matter of etiquette.

If Lin Yun failed to follow such etiquette, it would only give the First Lady an excuse to discipline him and label him as ill-mannered.

“Yan Shi, my son beat your son yesterday. I am here on the Master’s orders to bring Lin Wei to apologise to your son,” the First Lady said with a grim expression.

Then, with a wave of her hand, she said, “Wei’er, go on, offer tea and apologise to Lin Yun.”

“Mother!” Lin Wei appeared extremely reluctant.

“Go, now!” The First Lady glared at him.

Hearing this, Lin Wei, with a face full of unwillingness, carried the tea and approached Lin Yun.

“Lin Yun, I beat you yesterday and was a bit heavy-handed. I apologise,” Lin Wei said in a perfunctory tone.

After speaking, he handed the tea to Lin Yun.

Lin Yun took the tea, his young face showing determination. “Lin Wei, I can accept your apology, but please don’t insult my mother again!”

“Lin Yun, you… you’re lecturing me now? Do you think I really want to apologise to you? It’s just Father’s orders!” Lin Wei glared at Lin Yun, his voice growing louder with displeasure.

Hearing Lin Yun’s words, the First Lady also felt irritated. She thought to herself, your mother is nothing but a lowly slave, so what if my son insulted her?

But the First Lady knew that the most important thing now was to ensure Lin Yun drank the tea.

“Lin Wei, be quiet!” the First Lady immediately scolded him.

“Yun’er, say less,” Yan Shi also cautioned.

Yan Shi naturally did not want Lin Yun to get into further conflict with Lin Wei. After all, how could they compete with the First Lady now? Yan Shi only wanted Lin Yun to grow and cultivate in peace.

“Yan Shi, my son has offered the apology tea. If your son accepts the apology, he should drink the tea,” the First Lady said coldly.

Lin Yun didn’t think much of it, since his father had ordered Lin Wei to apologise. He took the apology tea and sipped it.

“Lin Yun, the apology tea must be drunk in full. If you don’t finish it, it means you don’t accept the apology. Remember, Wei’er is here on the Master’s orders! Don’t think we wanted to come and apologise to you. If you don’t accept the apology, that’s fine, but refusing it means disrespecting the Master,” the First Lady said coldly.

Being only five years old, Lin Yun didn’t think further and drank the entire cup of apology tea in one gulp.

For Lin Yun, his father had gone to great lengths to seek justice for him, making Lin Wei apologise. Naturally, Lin Yun didn’t want his father to know he had refused the apology.

Lin Yun had always tried his best to leave a good impression on his father.

This apology was hard-won for Lin Yun.

Seeing Lin Yun drink the apology tea, the First Lady remained expressionless, but in her heart, she was overjoyed, as this meant their plan had succeeded!

“Since my son has apologised, yesterday’s matter is settled. Yan Shi, rest assured, I will teach my son not to trouble your son again,” the First Lady said coldly.

“Wei’er, let’s go.”

With that, the First Lady left with Lin Wei.
