“Being able to meet Lord Feiying Jin in person is already wonderful. How could I dare expect him to definitely guide me? I can only hope that he might offer some pointers.” Lin Yun said with a slight smile.
“By the way, Brother Lin Yun, after you fell out with the Heavenly Fire Divine Hall, have you joined any other force? I heard that the Dao Alliance is opposed to the six major forces. Have you joined the Dao Alliance?” The Martial God asked.
“No.” Lin Yun shook his head.
Lin Yun continued, “By the way, Martial God, when we are outside, you should still call me by my dao title. After all, I need to keep my identity hidden.”
Until he reached the Supreme Realm, Lin Yun would continue to conceal his identity.
“I understand that.”
“Then I will take my leave first.”
After speaking, the Martial God left the inn ahead of Lin Yun.
…
Three days later, while Lin Yun waited in the inn, the Martial God arrived as promised and met with him.
Then the Martial God led Lin Yun out of the inn and away from Heart City.
Outside Heart City.
“Brother Beichen, follow me.” After saying this, the Martial God soared into the sky.
Lin Yun quickly rose into the air and followed.
After flying for fourteen days, the Martial God brought Lin Yun to a rather remote area in the ancestral land and descended on a mountain.
“Brother Beichen, I will first report to my master. Please wait here for a moment.” The Martial God said to Lin Yun.
“Good!” Lin Yun nodded in agreement.
The Martial God took out a jade pendant and activated it.
A boundary gate immediately appeared ahead.
In the next moment, the Martial God passed through the boundary gate and vanished from Lin Yun’s sight.
…
On the other side.
The Martial God entered a small space.
The entire space was roughly the size of an ordinary city on Earth. It had mountains and rivers. Ahead was a small mountain.
On the small mountain were scattered buildings.
The Martial God headed straight for the palace at the mountain peak.
In the ancient palace sat a man in white robes, with sword-like eyebrows and starry eyes, his face carrying an air of stern authority.
“Disciple Martial God pays respects to Master.” The Martial God bowed to this person.
Without doubt, the person ahead was Lord Feiying Jin.
“Disciple, have you bought back all the materials I asked for?” Lord Feiying Jin asked.
“Master, this disciple has procured everything.” The Martial God reported.
“Good. Bring your weapon along with them. Your master will upgrade it for you.” Lord Feiying Jin said.
“Yes.”
The Martial God took out his weapon and storage ring, handing them to Lord Feiying Jin.
“Why have you not left yet?” Lord Feiying Jin asked after receiving the items, seeing that the Martial God had not departed.
“Master, this disciple… has a request.” The Martial God raised his head, somewhat hesitantly.
“Speak.” Lord Feiying Jin uttered a single word.
“Master, this disciple has a benefactor who happens to cultivate the Feiying Swordsmanship. He wishes for Master to offer some guidance. He is currently outside the boundary space. May I bring him in to meet you, Master?” The Martial God said.
“Nonsense! Who allowed you to bring someone here? Who allowed you to casually reveal my whereabouts?” Lord Feiying Jin’s brows immediately furrowed as he questioned coldly.
The atmosphere in the entire hall instantly became oppressive.
“This disciple is at fault.”
The Martial God immediately knelt on the ground and continued, “No matter how Master wishes to punish this disciple, I still beg Master to first meet him.”
“You are still speaking? You should know that I most detest having my name revealed casually. I even more detest outsiders entering here! Go and reflect properly!” By the end, Lord Feiying Jin directly shouted in rebuke.
The Martial God did not retreat. Instead, he continued, “Master, he saved my life. He wishes to improve his strength to participate in the Pinnacle Competition. This is very important to him. I implore Master to give him a chance. Even if Master is unwilling to guide him, could you at least meet him?”
“Master can rest assured. He has not joined any force and has no connection to those six major forces.”
After speaking, the Martial God repeatedly kowtowed, his forehead striking the ground with resounding thuds.
Lord Feiying Jin said nothing. He simply stood and left the hall.
Seeing Lord Feiying Jin depart, the Martial God did not give up. He remained kneeling in place, continuing to kowtow to the ground.
In the blink of an eye, an hour had passed. The Martial God was still in the empty hall, kowtowing, but Lord Feiying Jin’s figure had not reappeared.
The Martial God showed no intention of stopping.
One day, two days, three days…
In the blink of an eye, ten days had passed.
At the mountain peak stood a pavilion from which one could overlook the entire space.
