“Clan Leader, there is actually one thing I need very much. Even without this marriage, after reaching Supreme I would have come to discuss it with you.” Lin Yun said.
“Oh? What is it?” The Clan Leader asked.
“This item is in the palace treasure vault. I can sense it. May I visit the treasure vault?” Lin Yun said.
What Lin Yun meant was, of course, the Heart of Origin.
“Good. I will take you there. I am also curious to see what you want, since you can sense something inside our Elf Clan’s treasure vault.” The Clan Leader looked intrigued.
The Clan Leader then stepped down from his seat and led Lin Yun and Zi Tong out of the grand hall towards the palace treasure vault.

Lin Yun knew full well that the Fourth Prince and his war faction were utterly hostile towards humans. They would naturally oppose Lin Yun himself and would never accept a human marrying into the Elf Clan.
“This Elf Clan is under my authority. If he objects, I will simply transfer him far from Heavenly Saint City.” The Clan Leader replied.
Hearing this, Lin Yun understood. The Clan Leader planned to marginalise the Fourth Prince and push him out of the centre of power.
The three soon reached the vast treasure vault.
Lin Yun could clearly sense the Heart of Origin within.
With the Clan Leader present in person, Lin Yun entered without difficulty.

“Lin Yun, since you can sense the item, lead the way.” The Clan Leader said.
“Yes.”
Lin Yun nodded and followed the pull from the Origin Tree.
He found the Heart of Origin was not on the first floor, so he headed straight upwards.
On the second floor, he realised it was still higher.
The third floor of the treasure vault was a forbidden zone. Normally, no one could enter without the Clan Leader’s personal permission, not even Zi Tong or the others.
“Lin Yun, even Zi Tong and the rest cannot usually come to the third floor. Everything here is confidential to our Elf Clan. Are you certain what you seek is up there?” The Clan Leader looked at Lin Yun.
“Clan Leader, I can sense it. It is above.” Lin Yun replied.
“Good. Follow me up.” The Clan Leader headed to the third floor.
With the Clan Leader leading, the guards immediately stood aside.
On the third floor, Lin Yun scanned the area and quickly spotted a Heart of Origin.
“Clan Leader, over there!”
Lin Yun hurried to a wooden tray.
The Heart of Origin lay upon it.
Gazing at the Heart of Origin before him, Lin Yun’s heart raced again, his eyes burning with intensity.
The Origin Tree and Hearts of Origin within him had contributed greatly to his pinnacle tournament victory.
Thus, the Hearts of Origin and the Origin Tree held immense significance for Lin Yun.
“Clan Leader, this is the one!” Lin Yun pointed to the Heart of Origin.
“Grandfather, what is this?” Zi Tong asked curiously. She naturally did not recognise it.
“This was obtained by chance from the Human Clan during a great war between our Elf Clan and humans long ago. I felt it was extraordinary but did not know its purpose, so I stored it here.” The Clan Leader explained.
He then turned to Lin Yun with a smile. “I never imagined this would be what you wanted.”
“Clan Leader, this item is of great use to me.” Lin Yun said.
“It serves no real purpose for our Elf Clan. Since you need it, let it be part of the dowry. You will receive it on the wedding day.” The Clan Leader replied.
Lin Yun felt overjoyed at these words.
When he had first visited the Elf Clan, obtaining this Heart of Origin had seemed nearly impossible.
Yet now he had acquired it so easily.
“Thank you, Clan Leader!” Lin Yun said quickly.
Lin Yun eagerly awaited what special abilities this Heart of Origin would grant him.
Once he had it, he would need only two more to complete the set.
“As for the wedding date, in half a month we have a traditional Elf Clan festival. We shall hold it then. I will arrange everything. You two have no objections?” The Clan Leader asked.
Lin Yun and Zi Tong glanced at each other, then smiled and said, “None at all.”
