The situation unfolded with twists and turns.
Godo used [Oath of the Guardian Sword] to severely wound the demon Lier, but his own strength was depleted, leaving him on the verge of dissipation. Debbie used her summoner powers to help Godo reform his body, but before they could rejoice, the demon Lier staged a comeback, feigning death. Though it had only thirty percent of its strength left, this monster had battled Godo, who possessed the power of a half-step sword saint, for centuries. Even with just thirty percent, it was not something ordinary people could handle.
Godo was now unable to use his powers. In this moment of intense fear for everyone, Ye Chui calmly summoned the bald heroic spirit.
“No need to hold back. Smash it.”
With Ye Chui’s words, the bald heroic spirit strolled forward, throwing a punch with an utterly unimposing demeanour.
One-fifteenth serious punch.
Boom.
A terrifying gust of force surged forth. That seemingly unremarkable punch unleashed an overwhelmingly powerful force the moment it was thrown.
The gust roared, rushing into the dark cave.
The demon Lier let out a sharp, piercing scream, as if in agonising pain.
Among those present, only Debbie, Green, and Lesha had witnessed the power of the One Punch heroic spirit. Even they had never seen it “go all out.”
When Ye Chui first summoned Saitama-sensei on the street, he had obliterated a group of troublesome mages and swordsmen with one punch, destroying a building and half a street in the process. But that was just Saitama-sensei testing his strength.
Later, against Apostle Adams, the One Punch heroic spirit successfully forced Adams back into a rift, using nearly all his power in that state, though still holding back slightly.
At the Coldstone Magic Guild, the One Punch heroic spirit hadn’t even thrown a punch, yet his mere presence caused havoc, collapsing buildings. He had intended to use one-tenth of a serious punch, but due to power suppression, he didn’t release it. The true power of that punch remained unseen, and Saitama realised his limit in that suppressed state was one-fifteenth of a serious punch.
Now, he fully unleashed a one-fifteenth serious punch.
As the demon’s screams echoed, the gust surged into the cave. The mighty holy mountain began to shake violently, cracks appearing on its sturdy surface. The power of this punch was no less than Godo’s [Oath of the Guardian Sword].
Watching the figure of the One Punch heroic spirit throw the punch, feeling the staggering wind pressure emanating from him, everyone wore utterly stunned expressions. Godo was likely the most shocked of all. He had guarded for two hundred years to unleash such a powerful strike, yet this “mischievous kid,” as he once called Ye Chui, casually summoned a heroic spirit who delivered a punch of comparable might.
What made Godo feel his two centuries were wasted was overhearing Ye Chui say, amid the howling wind, “Hmm, Saitama-sensei’s one-fifteenth power is indeed quite strong.”
What did he just say?
One-fifteenth power?
This was too much for a half-step sword saint to bear.
The punch ended quickly.
A few rocks fell from the holy mountain. The bald figure stood before the cave, his shiny head almost gleaming.
Ye Chui checked the map on his iPad magic book, confirming that within his perception range under the holy mountain, the demon Lier’s presence had been completely erased.
“Yo, not a bad opponent. Call me again if you run into another one,” the bald heroic spirit said, turning around. His listless expression carried a hint of interest as he waved at Ye Chui before vanishing.
Beneath the holy mountain, everyone stood frozen for a moment.
They had been tense over Lier’s feigned death, but in the blink of an eye, everything was settled.
Godo looked at Ye Chui with deep emotion, feeling his heroic stature diminished in the presence of this young mage.
“All done,” Ye Chui said cheerfully, noticing everyone staring at him in shock. He explained helplessly, “This is my trump card. I can only use it once every seven days, and I have to wait for the next cycle after that. The restrictions are pretty big, but luckily, we hit the seven-day mark just in time.”
“You, you just said that was only one-fifteenth of his power?” Godo asked, his voice trembling.
Ye Chui nodded, speaking with a casual, boastful tone. “Strictly speaking, it’s just one-fifteenth of his serious punch, not one-fifteenth of his full combat power. To be blunt, a fully powered Saitama-sensei could probably destroy the entire Castro Continent with ease. But summoning a fully powered Saitama-sensei will take me a long, long time.”
Everyone: “…”
Kid, being your companion is quite the experience, you know?
Seeing their stunned looks, Ye Chui chuckled inwardly. Heh, he had plenty more heroic spirits like Saitama-sensei. Once he gathered enough points, he’d summon Saiyans, Superman, or even Sun Wukong (Journey to the West version) to show them.
But now wasn’t the time to dwell on that.
Long Bao was still in his summoned state but would soon disappear. Ye Chui had some questions for him.
“Long Bao, do you know the armoured swordsman I summoned?”
When Ye Chui was yanked away by the demon minion’s tentacle, he clearly heard the armoured swordsman exclaim “Bloody hell,” proving that the swordsman formed by [Guardian of Safety] had its own consciousness.
The power of his iPad magic book seemed to come from the divine power of the gods. As a divine pet raised by the gods, Long Bao might know the armoured swordsman’s identity.
Sure enough, Long Bao nodded his large head. “I was surprised too. I didn’t expect you to summon him. He’s Jarvis.”
“Jarvis?” Ye Chui froze. Iron Man’s AI butler?
Long Bao continued, “He’s a puppet life created by the God of Gods, holding the divine rank of the Puppet God. But when the gods fell, he should have died too…” As he spoke, Long Bao’s dragon eyes turned to Ye Chui’s iPad magic book, a strange emotion flickering in them, as if he’d realised something.
But he clearly didn’t want to share his suspicions, changing the subject by lifting his dragon head to look at the holy mountain. He let out a surprised roar: “Roar?”
“What’s wrong?” Ye Chui asked quickly.
“This mountain looks familiar…” Long Bao said, puzzled.
The last time Long Bao was summoned, he mentioned he’d been here before. Five thousand years ago, this place was part of the divine realm, and as a resident of that realm, it was natural for Long Bao to have visited. But he seemed especially familiar with this holy mountain. After a moment of confusion, he seemed to recognise what it was, his expression turning odd. He shifted his body, instinctively moving away from the mountain.
Debbie, supported by Windsor, stood up. Exhausted from completing the heroic spirit ritual for Godo due to her depleted magic, she looked at Long Bao curiously. “Long Bao, you know this mountain? Does it hide some incredible secret?”
Her eyes sparkled as she spoke.
But Long Bao quickly shook his head vigorously.
“Remember when I said I got chased by the Goddess of Wealth for days after taking a dump here?” he said in a low voice.
“Bloody hell.”
Ye Chui, sharing Debbie’s curiosity as he gazed at the holy mountain, froze at Long Bao’s words, turning stiffly to him. “You don’t mean… No way, it’s that big?”
Long Bao lowered his head, seemingly embarrassed, letting out heavy breaths. “I was constipated for half a month back then…”
Everyone instinctively backed away from the so-called holy mountain, just like Long Bao.
With the grey mist around the mountain gone, they looked up and realised the mountain’s shape was unmistakably… a pile of dung.
Bloody hell, the so-called holy mountain was actually Dragon Dung Mountain?
Godo took another critical hit. The place he had guarded for centuries, called the holy mountain, turned out to be this…
He felt his heroic stature diminish even further.
Ye Chui, Debbie, and Green, having seen Long Bao’s true form, were deeply shocked by the Black Gold Flame Dragon of the divine era. Just how powerful was that dragon? A single pile of its dung formed this incredibly sturdy holy mountain, trapping a terrifying demon inside, unescapable. Even a sword saint’s full strike and Saitama-sensei’s punch only left cracks on it. They were utterly stunned by the truth of the holy mountain.
Long Bao soon returned to the heroic spirit world, but before leaving, he glanced toward the Holy Light Forest, saying in a solemn tone, “I sense both light and darkness there. Be careful moving forward.”
“Light and darkness?” Ye Chui thought of the “Holy Stone Sword” and the sealed devil in the Holy Light Forest, nodding. “Got it.”
Long Bao soared into the sky, circled once, and vanished.
With their worldviews shattered, everyone eagerly left the holy mountain, setting up camp by a small lake at the end of the Coldwater River. With the demon Lier’s death, the nearby evil beasts seemed to have vanished too. The tentacle monster in the lake was gone as well. They planned to rest briefly here, as they hadn’t rested since entering the relic world and were exhausted from continuous battles.
Godo, in his heroic spirit form, moved with them.
Guni stayed close to her ancestor. After recent events, the others’ awe of Godo had significantly lessened. No matter how impressive he was, he was just an ordinary player compared to Ye Chui, the cheater. Only Guni still held him in high reverence.
Only now did Ye Chui finally have a chance to check his point earnings.
The demon minion Crete was worth 310 points. The One Punch heroic spirit’s battle cost nearly 400 points. Ultimately, killing the demon Lier earned Ye Chui over three thousand points. His current point balance was 3,423.
“Three thousand four hundred points…”
Looking at his balance, Ye Chui hesitated. Should he use these points to gain insights into other magical attributes or unlock powerful heroic spirits and background music? But the priority now wasn’t boosting his power but understanding this world fully. After a moment’s thought, he made his choice.
Unlock the map pack for the Buried Sword Land relic world.
Unlocking the map pack required 3,300 points. Once unlocked, it was like activating a full game map, allowing Ye Chui to track the positions and movements of all humans and creatures in the area.
Though they had killed the demon Lier, the dangers here weren’t over. A sealed devil remained, and the Fourth Prince, McKenzie, Black Sword Guards, and others were not to be trusted.
He needed to monitor their every move.
The battle was far from over.
