After Ye Chui’s scans, fortunately, he found two people in the Green Bay tribe’s sand people with S-rank magic power content. There were also dozens with A-rank. Ye Chui selected ten as the flying magic vehicle’s magic power sources. From those with overall points exceeding 60, he chose around two hundred more. After equipping them with Ye Chui’s magical creations, most of their points broke through 100. Everyone climbed into Ye Chui’s flying magic vehicle.
It was clear they were extremely tense. They doubted whether the iron box Ye Chui had summoned could truly fly into the sky. Not only they, but Ye Chui’s mood was also somewhat tense at that moment. Yet he had to feign composure.
He arrived at the control room on the second floor of the flying magic vehicle. Piloting the plane was a technical task he did not need to handle personally. After summoning the flying magic vehicle, Ye Chui’s magic guide book had automatically linked to its control system. All subsequent actions of the flying magic vehicle could be controlled by the magic guide book’s consciousness, Aipede. Ye Chui only needed to specify the direction.
The flying magic vehicle’s cabin door slowly closed. Ye Chui took a deep breath and instructed Aipede to start the flying magic vehicle.
“Magic sources beginning preheat… Magic supply initiating… Magic supply normal… Activating flight axis core… Wind-element power array fully operational… Balance magic array fully operational… Flying magic vehicle beginning to taxi… Speed gradually increasing… 3, 2, 1… Bloody hell, it really flew up!”
Ye Chui stood in the control room, listening to Aipede issue commands in an orderly manner, exuding the air of an aeroplane captain. But upon hearing Aipede’s final exclamation, he was speechless at once. So it had not believed this thing could fly either?
The cockpit was filled with various light screens showing the flying magic vehicle’s components’ operational status and the airspace ahead. On one side of the cockpit was a row of strange seats. The ten acting as magic sources sat there, wrapped in numerous magic conduits. Those conduits would continuously draw magic power from them in sequence to supply the flying magic vehicle. The ten would rotate shifts for magic supply, sustaining the flying magic vehicle’s operation indefinitely.
Ye Chui reassured the ten, then left the cockpit.
The flying magic vehicle had two levels. The lower level was vast. This plane was originally designed for both passengers and cargo, so the bottom could hold large amounts of supplies. The two hundred sand people gathered there. They looked immensely tense yet extraordinarily curious, crowding at the windows to peer outside. Though the sand people had sand sculptures as flying mounts, the sensation of riding in a plane still filled them with utter novelty.
Debbie and the others distributed the various weapons to them and explained how to use these magical creations. They also had them change into the bulletproof vests one by one.
These bulletproof vests were not mere armour. They incorporated magical techniques, with a defensive magic array overlaid on the outside of the protective suit. It rendered ordinary attacks utterly incapable of breaching the array’s defences.
“Mr Ye Chui, this, this flying magic vehicle is so fast. I just saw a swift bird outside the window. This thing’s speed is actually faster than a swift bird!” Kala, who was putting on a bulletproof vest, said to Ye Chui with an excited face. “We probably will not take long to fly across the entire secret realm.”
“Exactly. The battle will start soon. Get ready,” Ye Chui said with a smile.
Kala picked up the magic rifle, face full of anticipation. “I cannot wait any longer.”
“You should say my big gun cannot wait any longer…”
“?”
“Heh, nothing.”
Ye Chui chuckled awkwardly and told everyone not to get too excited yet, to rest properly.
He then returned to the second level.
The second level was slightly smaller but decorated far more luxuriously. There were also some partitioned rooms for rest. Debbie, Leisha, Green, and the others needed no introduction from Ye Chui. They explored on their own and found their rooms. Thinking that this would be their guild’s flying mount from now on, they could not be more satisfied with the place. Bo Si Li had naturally joined in as well.
When Ye Chui returned to the second level, she was sitting with Debbie, Leisha, Dai Ni, Xi Le Si, and the other girls at a table by the window. They were enjoying the coffee Green had just brewed, discussing the secret realm’s scenery outside. Ye Chui sat down next to Debbie, across from Bo Si Li. He leaned forward slightly, listening to their conversation while trying his best to close the distance to Bo Si Li.
Bo Si Li quickly noticed Ye Chui’s little manoeuvre and frowned. “What are you doing?”
“Closer distance means better WiFi signal,” Ye Chui replied casually.
Bo Si Li was essentially a treasure trove of spells. Her magic guide book contained countless ice-element spells, or rather, it encompassed all possible ice-element spells. Ice-element magic was also Ye Chui’s weakness. Before this, he had only one intermediate ice-element spell, [Doomsday Chill]. Now that a ready-made spell library was available for him to choose from, he would not hold back, of course.
Among them, the Ice Queen series of spells was the most powerful.
It was said that the Ice Queen was a mighty magic tutor from the far north over a thousand years ago. She was also a princess of a small kingdom, with a younger sister. But because she had accidentally awakened ice-element magic, which went somewhat out of control and caused massive harm to that small kingdom, she entered the northern snow mountains alone. There, she built an ice castle. Her sister then inherited the throne.
Years later, that small kingdom faced invasion by another empire. At the moment of life and death, a blizzard suddenly descended from the skies. The Ice Queen arrived from above, using powerful ice spells to freeze the invading empire’s army into ice. The name Ice Queen then resounded through the world.
The spells she created, the Ice Queen series, were thus hailed as one of the strongest ice-element spell sets.
At that time, the Xiang Wang magic tutor had travelled thousands of miles to that small kingdom to visit the Ice Queen, learned these spells, and recorded them in the Xiang Wang magic guide book.
Ye Chui was very interested in these Ice Queen series spells. If possible, he wanted to download them all to his magic guide book in one go via Thunder Download.
Upon hearing Ye Chui’s words, Bo Si Li’s delicate brows furrowed. She now confirmed that Ye Chui could directly steal others’ spells. This made her view Ye Chui even higher. After all, the Xiang Wang magic tutor’s esteemed status stemmed precisely from their magic guide books recording countless spells. Yet the sheer number of spells posed no issue at all for Ye Chui.
Beyond spells, he could also draw on summoner and believer powers. [God-Armoured Guard] granted him a physique no less than a swordsman’s. He could summon flying magic vehicles, magic guns and cannons, and other magical creations… Though the Xiang Wang magic guide book was powerful, compared to Ye Chui’s iPad magic guide book, it was simply rubbish.
Bo Si Li, who had always held immense confidence in the Xiang Wang magic guide book, could not help but harbour such a deflating thought…
The magic guild took great interest in Ye Chui’s magic guide book, deeming it a crucial detection target. But Bo Si Li now realised that both the magic guild and the church still underestimated Ye Chui far too much. Fortunately, Bo Si Li could see that Ye Chui was not some utterly wicked person. Through her observations, she confirmed he would be a highly reliable ally. When it came to his companions, Ye Chui would spare no effort. That was the finest quality in choosing an ally.
She was glad of her initial choice.
“Miss Bo Si Li, please try this pastry. It is made with honey, milk, and fine wheat flour. Utterly delicious.” At that moment, Green came over carrying a plate of pastries and carefully set it before Bo Si Li.
Bo Si Li gave Green a bright smile. “Thank you. From now on, you can just call me Bo Si Li.”
“Yes, yes, Bo Si Li.” Green said hurriedly, as if injected with chicken blood. “I have another pastry that is very tasty. I will make you a portion to try right away.” With that, he dashed into the nearby kitchen.
The kitchen held various utensils, of course, all magic-powered.
Ye Chui watched the scene with amusement, thinking that perhaps his guild’s logistics minister could really charm this Xiang Wang magic tutor. He suddenly received a message from Aipede. “Master, the Blood Scorpion tribe’s traces have been detected.”
“So soon?” Ye Chui’s expression lit up with joy. He stood up hurriedly and headed to the cockpit. Debbie and the others followed closely.
The cockpit screens displayed images from below. Ye Chui saw a human settlement, but upon clarifying what it truly was, his expression turned utterly shocked.
“This is the Blood Scorpion tribe’s main camp? No wonder it has always been unknown to outsiders. So… their main camp is actually a mobile fortress!”
Across the vast desert, a massive sand turtle crawled slowly. That desert giant turtle was truly enormous. Its back was covered in green, with trees growing atop it, forming a small oasis of sorts. There were even stone buildings among them. The Blood Scorpion tribe’s main camp stood right on the giant turtle’s back!
Some Blood Scorpion tribe sand people followed around the giant turtle, marching and setting up camp.
“Such a huge turtle must be some magical beast… I hear the beast god of the magical beast clan is a terrifying turtle magical beast. This sand turtle might be related to that beast god turtle,” Xi Le Si said with a furrowed brow. “It is… far too massive!”
“This magical beast’s rank has probably reached seventh-tier,” Bo Si Li said with some worry. She looked at Ye Chui. “Though it seems lumbering, it surely has some attack methods. How do we deal with it? I could use a highly destructive ice spell, but the cost would be great…”
“Then leave it to me.”
A playful expression crossed Ye Chui’s face.
“Did I forget to mention? This flying magic vehicle comes equipped with magic missiles. Let us just give it a few rounds of nuclear flat heaven’s descent first.”
