The little girl looked exquisitely cute, like a delicately carved jade doll. Her hair was still tied in twin ponytails, with long braids that nearly dragged along the ground. She wore a white dress patterned with faint turtle-shell motifs and was barefoot, her tiny feet pale and tender.
Perhaps because she was utterly exhausted, her small body swayed unsteadily. Her big eyes brimmed with anger and grievance as she stared at Ye Chong and Boslily. Her lips pouted slightly, and she raised a chubby arm to wipe her damp eyes. Where was the terrifying, almighty Beast God now? She looked exactly like the little girl next door who was about to cry because she had been denied sweets!
For a moment, Ye Chong and Boslily were speechless. If the great figures of the outside world, or the patriarch of the Joreis family, were to see the Beast God in this state, would their faith completely shatter?
Sensing that time was about to loop once more, Ye Chong hurriedly cancelled Dormammu’s Depression.
The spell had proven terrifyingly effective. It had bullied the fearsome Beast God until she cried.
He glanced at his grimoire. The little girl’s current point value registered at 2010, similar to Dragon Treasure’s present level. Although still somewhat stronger than Ye Chong and Boslily, the two of them together could easily handle her now.
Ye Chong did not know his own exact point value, but Boslily’s displayed around 1500. Ye Chong was a bit stronger than her, probably about 1800.
Of course, Ye Chong’s value definitely carried a “+”, indicating potential that could be unleashed in battle. If necessary, he could instantly comprehend several ultra-powerful spells to meet the crisis.
He had learned to conserve his points and would no longer awaken abilities recklessly. He would only do so when truly needed.
After releasing Dormammu’s Depression, the little girl quickly wiped the tear tracks from her face. She desperately tried to seal the wound that was still spurting blood and to reabsorb the blood that had already sprayed out. Yet it was no easy task. Clearly, she had fallen in rank. The massive blood loss had forcibly dropped her from the absolute peak of ninth rank back to the seventh rank, the natural level of a Chaos Giant Turtle.
Ascending from seventh to ninth rank had taken her an immensely long time. Now that her realm had collapsed, even if she swallowed the lost turtle blood again, she could not fully reabsorb its power.
Realising this, Ye Chong and Boslily exchanged a glance. Without hesitation, they began collecting the turtle blood that had painted the sky into an ocean of crimson.
Holy crap, this is supreme tonic! We could probably make super invincible turtle-blood tofu with it…
Ye Chong used water magic to gather the blood into huge spheres, then Boslily froze them into massive blood-ice blocks with her ice magic. Ye Chong promptly stored everything in his storage space.
The little girl glared furiously at their blatant looting.
Yet she was powerless to stop them. She knew that without intervention, the blood she had lost would dissolve into the surrounding chaos.
The giant dragon that was Dragon Treasure descended from the sky. He had waited until the battle ended before returning. The agitated magical beasts had also calmed under his draconic aura. But when he spotted the tiny girl, he froze. Moments later, Dragon Treasure reverted to his chubby toddler form, waddled over, looked her up and down, and immediately burst into uncontrollable laughter. “How did you turn back into this again? Wahahaha… exactly like when I picked you up from the Chaos Sea! I’m dying, you lost your power just like me now, hahaha…”
The little girl kept a straight face, lifted her leg, and kicked straight between the chubby boy’s legs.
Even Ye Chong felt a sympathetic chill.
“You… you…” The chubby boy instantly clutched his precious dragon parts and collapsed to his knees, face red from pain, unable to speak.
Ye Chong looked at the expressionless little girl and felt a slight headache. With all the resentment radiating from her, he had no idea how to smoothly take her with them.
At that very moment, the ground of the Beast Garden began to quake. An overwhelming sense of constriction pressed in from all directions, weighing on Ye Chong and Boslily’s nerves. They frowned and scanned their surroundings. Because the turtle girl’s power had plummeted, the turtle’s true body that supported this world was rapidly shrinking. The entire realm could collapse at any second.
Cracks spider-webbed across the sky. This world had originally been born from chaos, shaped into ordered space by the Chaos Giant Turtle. But now the turtle could no longer maintain that order. The Beast Garden was about to disintegrate.
Magma erupted from fissures in the earth. The magical beasts that Dragon Treasure had just calmed grew restless once more.
The little girl’s expression tightened. She hurriedly said to Ye Chong, “Hey, this place won’t hold much longer. My true body is a Chaos Giant Turtle, but we cannot actually survive in true chaos. I could only live here long-term after reaching ninth rank. Now that my realm has fallen, if this place collapses, I’ll be crushed by endless chaos. You caused all this, so what are we going to do!?”
“Can’t you open a portal to the outside world?” Boslily asked.
“I could have done it easily before, but I don’t have enough power now,” the little girl replied, arms folded, face cold and proud. Classic tsundere, with eyes that clearly said this is all your fault.
Boslily turned to Ye Chong.
Ye Chong had planned to destroy the Beast Garden from the very beginning, so of course he had already prepared a way out if they became trapped.
He immediately found an open space and placed both hands on the ground.
“What are you doing?” Boslily asked, puzzled.
“This is my spatial summoning spell. It’s called Beast Channeling,” Ye Chong explained.
Time was short, so he skipped the dramatic hand seals and cast it directly. Another spell gained from comprehending Obito: the famous Summoning Technique from Naruto!
After his magical modifications, it became a spatial spell capable of summoning allies or magical beasts to fight.
Such summoning spells were not rare. Some archmages could use similar magic to become as terrifying as summoners. However, normal summoning brought forth heroic spirits rather than living beings. Beast Channeling could summon real, living creatures or people, though it had distance limits. The key requirement was that Ye Chong must first establish a “channeling contract with the target.
Right now, he intended to summon a certain powerful companion to resolve the crisis.
Boslily had no idea what he was planning and watched curiously, a hint of frustration in her eyes. Although today’s duel had been fake, the string of spells Ye Chong had unleashed made her feel thoroughly outclassed.
The little girl also watched with curiosity.
Dragon Treasure, whose pain had slightly eased, stood far away, warily eyeing the girl.
As Ye Chong cast the spell, strange runes spread across the ground, forming a spatial summoning array. A flash of white light followed, and something appeared in the air above Ye Chong. Thump. It fell to the ground and rolled a few times.
It was…
“You summoned… a ball!?” Boslily shouted, then realisation dawned. “No, wait… it’s Celtic’s head!?”
“Ouch, where am I now?” a startled voice cried from inside the ball.
Ye Chong walked over, picked it up, waved away the illusion magic disguising it, and revealed Celtic’s true head.
During today’s duel, he had disguised Celtic’s head as a ball for the baby to carry, precisely so he could summon her nearby when needed. The divine beast he wanted to channel was Celtic herself!
Seeing Celtic’s head, the clever Boslily instantly understood Ye Chong’s plan. “I see!”
Ye Chong wanted to destroy the Beast Garden, but it would be a terrible waste to let all the magical beasts inside die with it. He had no intention of killing the donkey after it finished grinding the grain. He had already found a perfect new home for them: the secret realm world!
The secret realm world would become the new Beast Garden!
This magical world had archmages and swordsmen, peak experts capable of fighting thousands alone, yet military might remained crucial. An army armed with magical beasts would become the most powerful cavalry force on the continent.
The magical beasts produced by the Joreis family’s Beast Garden ranked among the very best on the Castro continent. All seven great empires did business with the Joreis family. Because of that ancient agreement, the Star Empire could not monopolise the beasts, but Ye Chong had no such intention of sharing. He would build the strongest magical beast army for Jacob, claim every beast here for himself, and create a new Beast Garden exclusive to the Star Empire.
And the secret realm world, whose original owner was Celtic, was perfect. Though only her head remained and she could not easily open portals herself, Ye Chong was now at least a high-level spatial archmage. With Celtic providing the coordinates, he could construct the array. It was even simpler than when Merlin opened the portal to the Wealth Goddess’s divine ruin back in Stan Town.
Though Boslily specialised in ice, she had received magical education since childhood and could assist.
“This is the Beast Garden? Strange, I feel a familiar presence here,” Celtic said, her eyes scanning the surroundings.
“It’s so bloody in here. Did you forget we ate duck blood hotpot last night?” Ye Chong replied casually while building the spatial array.
At the unfamiliar term “duck blood hotpot”, the little girl’s body shuddered violently. She didn’t know what it meant… but it sounded horrifying. Her turtle blood…
“No, it’s not the blood smell…” Celtic struggled in Ye Chong’s arms, trying to turn her head.
Ye Chong suddenly understood and angled her toward the little girl.
The little girl had been raised in the divine realm by Dragon Treasure, so Celtic, as one of the divine clan, should recognise her.
Sure enough, Celtic immediately exclaimed, “Turtle Treasure, it’s you!?”
Ye Chong’s hands paused on the array. Together with Boslily, he muttered, “Turtle Treasure… that name…”
“I-It really is you, Lady Ferryman of the Dead…” The little girl jumped in fright at Celtic’s appearance, then hurriedly bowed respectfully. She might dislike Dragon Treasure, but she clearly held deep reverence for other members of the former divine clan. At the same time, she seemed embarrassed that Celtic had called her by that name. Turtle Treasure was just too humiliating…
“You’re still alive? Oh, oh, so the Beast Garden is you? No wonder. You Chaos Giant Turtles love finding a spot and holing up for five thousand years straight. Must have been tough.”
Celtic greeted her warmly. “But your power has dropped so much. That shouldn’t be possible. Back then, the God of Gods personally helped you reach ninth rank. Even if those devils tortured you, they couldn’t have forced your realm to fall. Who did this? Tell me, I’ll bite them to death for you!”
Facing little Turtle Treasure, Celtic’s head radiated elder-like concern.
Unfortunately…
Turtle Treasure immediately looked aggrieved again and pointed straight at Ye Chong. “It’s all his fault. He drained almost half my blood…”
