Among ice spells, many are extremely powerful. For instance, the ice magus Mackenzie whom Ye Chui encountered in the Buried Sword Ground exhausted all his magic power to cast the super ice spell Ice Age Arrival. It directly enveloped the vast Holy Light Forest, freezing all living beings, rendering them immobile.
Boss Li among the twelve phase magi specialised in ice magic. Each spell in her Ice Queen series possessed immense destructive power, no less than Mackenzie’s Ice Age Arrival.
Ye Chui had secretly downloaded many of Boss Li’s ice spells, but none compared to the one he used now.
Super Ice Spell: Ice Age. This spell resembled Ice Age Arrival somewhat, but its power was worlds apart. Inspired by Admiral Aokiji from One Piece, it could freeze an entire battlefield sea. The resulting ice was hard as iron, lasting seven days and nights without melting.
This differed qualitatively from ordinary ice spells.
Though Ice Age Arrival could freeze huge areas, it merely turned things to ice, unable to prevent melting for seven days and nights.
Originally, Ye Chui planned to use this spell against Apex Mountain’s erupting lava. But Akuya’s sudden heavenly flood forced him to apply it to the massive water volume instead.
The water column cascaded from the sky. Hissing sounds filled the air as water mixed with lava, erupting in intense steam. The scorching lava temperature did not extinguish easily. It continued spreading underwater. The water turned scalding, pouring in all directions. Some unlucky souls failed to evade, drenched in hot water, letting out piercing screams.
Soon, the heavenly river stopped. Ye Chui forcibly terminated the background spell program in his iPad magic book, halting Akuya’s great flood summon.
Boom.
A water surge demolished a building. Waves splashed towards a small crowd below.
They panicked, trying to flee, but the scorching heat filled them with despair. Then the crashing waves suddenly halted.
Scorching turned to freezing cold. Shadow enveloped them.
Looking up, the waves had become blue ice spikes, still in crashing pose.
“It, it’s frozen…” Everyone shouted in shock.
Then white chill spread everywhere. Surging water in all directions rapidly condensed, turning to pale blue ice crystals. Some crystals even contained flowing red lava, but it quickly greyed to stone.
Crash.
Ice at Apex Mountain’s base suddenly shattered. A group of red strange creatures crawled out, bodies aflame, roaring angrily. These were furious fire spirits. In this magical world, peculiar places often birthed odd lives. Fire spirits were such, born from endless flames, products of flame and magic element fusion. Such beings were usually violent and ferocious, like these from beneath Apex Mountain.
But shortly after emerging, their irregular lava-like bodies stiffened. Flames extinguished rapidly. Red bodies turned grey, becoming stone sculptures.
The restless crowd quieted. Looking back, they beheld a marvel.
Half of Apex Mountain had collapsed. The remaining half became an iceberg. Blue ice blocks piled together. An ice pillar rose straight to the heavens. Akuya’s water summon had opened a sky faucet, pouring massive water. Under ice magic, the column fully froze into a sky-piercing ice pillar.
Most wondrous were the steaming vapours, frozen mid-air into crystals. Irregular shapes resembled postmodern art, strikingly beautiful. Some vapours formed snowflakes drifting around. Tidal citizens, rarely seeing snow, exclaimed in wonder. Snow and marvel seemed to calm their panic.
In those vapour-frozen crystals, Dragon Baby’s winged silhouette was faintly visible. When Ye Chui cast the spell, urgency caused chill to spread everywhere. No time for Dragon Baby to evade. Thus it was sealed in crystal.
Now the faint dragon figure rapidly shrank. Crash. Ice shattered. Ye Chui emerged holding the chubby naked Dragon Baby.
He looked somewhat weak. Using Ice Age already consumed immense magic. Worse, Akuya had stolen his magic, summoning so much water. Leaning on an ice wall, he looked upward. He had not recalled Akuya yet, intending to properly scold this unreliable, team-pitting useless goddess later.

Just playfully frolicking in lava, then suddenly fully frozen. The feeling was unpleasant. Even a dragon could catch cold.
At the precarious Apex Mountain summit, Akuya fell to the ground as Ye Chui cut her magic supply. Rising, she saw the sky-piercing ice pillar. The goddess was stunned, mouth agape. “When did my water summon gain ice attribute? So strange. But…”
She cautiously peered over the platform edge downward. Seeing the volcano fully frozen, people below cheering. Hmm, they must be cheering for me! Akuya perked up immediately. Standing, she raised arms high.
Behind her, Dapra and believers knelt most devoutly, shouting the goddess’s name, offering sincerest prayers. They had not seen Ye Chui cast the ice spell freezing the flood. In fact, most below did not link Ice Age to Ye Chui. The spell cast too suddenly. Ye Chui even froze himself and Dragon Baby. How could he seem the caster?
As Akuya felt faith power from believers gathering, the usually proud and boastful goddess directly used divine power. Her body began glowing. Her sixteen-year-old beautiful face and curvaceous figure enlarged slowly, appearing mid-air.
“My people, I am the Goddess of Water, Akuya. Believe in me, and I shall lead you to happiness.” Akuya’s charlatan voice echoed across half the capital.
“Goddess Majesty!”
“I shall loyally serve Goddess Akuya all my life!”
“Goddess Akuya is the greatest deity!”
“Thank you, Goddess Akuya, for extinguishing the volcano and saving the capital!”
Dapra and believers shouted eagerly.
Citizens below Apex Mountain exchanged glances momentarily.
But perhaps Akuya shone too brilliantly then. The holy light enveloping her too divine. Her utterly convinced manner easily misled people into thinking she summoned the ice age freezing the volcano. Thus, citizens began kneeling one after another, loudly chanting the name of Water Goddess Akuya.
Neil, Kerrygan, Fazer had heard of Akuya, so no extreme reaction, but they stood stunned.
“Is this President Ye Chui’s plan? Did he not say he did not want the Akuxis cult influencing the Tidal Empire?” Evans asked his brother incredulously.
“Probably not…” Bart replied. He saw Debbie, Green, Resha nearby also dumbstruck. Alright, this must be an accident. Though Akuya was a goddess, the Bart brothers knew her well. She was Ye Chui’s fantasy spirit. Her faith, in Ye Chui’s words, believing in Akuya causes retardation. The powerful red-robed Archbishop Eliza was a living example.
Then Bart stiffened. Wondering how angry Uncle Sheras must be now. He quickly looked at Sheras, only to see him plop down kneeling towards Akuya’s phantom on the iceberg. “Goddess Majesty.”

Ye Chui held the naked-bottomed Dragon Baby, body swaying as he descended from air supported by wind spells. Yet the kneeling, chanting goddess-worshipping citizens paid him no heed.
Ye Chui’s expression was exceedingly complex. He had not expected this idiot Akuya to accidentally gain these capital citizens’ faith. Even recalling her now likely could not extinguish the enthusiastic believers’ hearts.
He approached Fiorre, Debbie, Fazer, and others.
These days, due to Ye Chui’s group’s arrival, a capital street was destroyed. The Ancestral Temple blown up. Apex Mountain collapsed. Many innocents accidentally died.
Facing all this, Ye Chui could remain calm. War always brought unavoidable casualties. He could steady his mindset, feeling no guilt.
