Code Mage Chapter 524

Faced with the terrifying Final Destination curse spell, Tixis’s zombie incarnations began to suffer continuous accidents. Some simply tripped and fell, yet their heads tilted and they died. Accidents were everywhere; even a fall causing a blood clot was no issue.

This clearly enraged Tixis greatly. All the remaining zombies shouted loudly in unison, “Your curse magic cannot be this powerful. Everyone, charge together. Give his magic no time to take effect. Rush him all at once!”

The originally shuffling steps of all the zombies seemed to quicken instantly. They stumbled and charged over. Along the way, some zombies still fell to accidents, but in the end, swarms of zombies appeared mere metres from Ye Chui and the others.

Guni, Green, and the rest immediately prepared for battle, but then remembered their current immunised state. Their faces darkened, and they quickly looked towards Ye Chui.

Ye Chui chuckled. With Final Destination active, dealing with these zombies was simply too easy.

He waved his right hand. Advanced Gravity Magic: Gravity Space.

This was the gravity magic downloaded from Jacob. As the spell activated, Ye Chui gently lifted his right hand. Whoosh. Pieces of rubble on the ground flew up under the gravity magic. Coldwind Port had just been bombarded by Ye Chui, with houses collapsed and everything in chaos, scattered with plenty of bricks and debris.

Now these fragments flew into the air under Ye Chui’s magic. Just as the zombies rushed in front of Ye Chui and his group, Ye Chui abruptly withdrew his right hand.

The stones and debris, no longer supported by gravity magic, fell down.

Whoosh.

It was like a bizarre rain of stone fragments.

A series of bangs and crashes rang out continuously. The charging zombies directly fell in swathes.

Ye Chui had not controlled the falling direction of the airborne stones, but under the accidental curse of Final Destination, the lethal stones needed no aiming to accurately smash every zombie’s head.

Moreover, though the stones rose into the air via Ye Chui’s magic, their fall relied purely on earthly gravity, falling into the category of accidents. All the zombies were completely unable to defend against this attack.

“Once you understand the characteristics of her ability, solving them is really too simple,” Ye Chui said, looking at the zombies sprawled on the ground. He shook his head in disappointment. Something about “cannot kill me twice” sounded so profound, yet dealing with it was too easy.

Ye Chui waved his hand again. More stones flew into the air under his gravity magic. He looked at the remaining zombies and smiled. “Come on, continue.”

As he spoke, he waved to push those stones above the zombies’ bodies, then released them.

Bang, crash, bang, crash.

Among the zombies smashed dead beside Ye Chui, one did not suffer an accident. That zombie was a woman, precisely the old friend Ilabesa had mentioned. Just now, Ye Chui had deliberately spared her, using defensive magic to protect her from being hit when the stones fell. At this moment, as Ye Chui attacked zombies elsewhere, he pointed towards the woman.

Green understood, teleported via space to her side, and forcibly pulled her back to the group. The woman struggled constantly. Though she looked lifeless, her strength was considerable. In the end, Guni and Sharleme each grabbed an arm to restrain her.

Ilabesa’s eyes were somewhat red and swollen. Looking at her blank-faced friend, she said miserably, “Mishal, it’s me. Do you recognise me?”

The woman named Mishal remained blank in expression, struggling continuously, but a few more glimmers appeared in her vacant eyes. Her pupils trembled slightly, as if trying hard to focus on Ilabesa’s face.

“Mishal, and me, Starry. When you first arrived in Pirate Bay, Ilabesa and I took you to the beach every day. I even confessed to you, though you rejected me,” Starry said hurriedly. His expression was deeply sad.

Mishal’s stiff face seemed to soften slightly. Her mouth opened a little, as if saying something.

“Mishal, what are you saying?” Ilabesa quickly leaned her head towards Mishal’s mouth.

This time, she heard Mishal’s voice clearly.

“Kill me.”

After Ye Chui manipulated rubble to smash another group of zombies, he turned back to Ilabesa. “Let her find release. They died long ago, but Tixis’s power imprisoned their souls and wills in decaying bodies. This is unimaginable suffering for them.”

Ye Chui worried whether Ilabesa would have the courage to act, so he signalled to Shelis to do it instead.

But then he saw Ilabesa resolutely draw a dagger and stab it into Mishal’s chest.

She was already in tears, but she had always been a strong woman. After forcefully wiping the tears from her face, Ilabesa raised her head to Ye Chui. “Mr Ye Chui, please avenge Mishal.”

“Yes, rest assured.”

Ye Chui nodded silently.

At this point, nearly all the zombies in Coldwind Port had died. The ground was covered in mutilated bodies, houses collapsed. The scene was quite shocking. A bizarre cold wind suddenly blew from the countless zombie bodies, emitting “wailing” sounds. Ye Chui looked at Turtle Treasure. “Set up a confinement around us. Do not let her escape.”

“Understood.” Turtle Treasure nodded, clapped her hands forcefully. With a crisp snap, a layer of turtle patterns rippled from her body, instantly enveloping the entire surroundings of Coldwind Port.

“I have never suffered such a blow. Ye Chui, it seems I underestimated you this time. But I am God’s messenger, favoured by the divine. You cannot be my opponent!”

A cold woman’s voice rang out. After all the zombies died, Tixis’s true body was about to descend.

Ye Chui scanned the surroundings, his eyes falling on the grimoire map. He saw a faint red layer suddenly cover the whole of Coldwind Town. The red rapidly shrank, colours growing more vivid, finally forming a blood-red dot. Tixis’s incarnation power involved merging part of her soul into others. Now, with all zombies dead, all her soul fragments reunited.

When Ye Chui raised his head, he saw a woman in a white nun’s habit, barefoot, with a strangely incongruous face and hair mixed with multiple colours, appearing amid the field of corpses.

Tixis’s true self!

Her face was frosty, showing immense inner anger. Ye Chui had Turtle Treasure deploy a barrier to prevent escape, but from her appearance, she seemed to have no intention of fleeing at all.

“I am the nun of the Divine Punishment Division, Tixis.” She said icily, walking towards Ye Chui.

The Final Destination curse spell was still in effect. Whoosh. A nearby building suddenly collapsed. A fishing harpoon, pressed by heavy debris, shot up and flew with a whoosh towards Tixis’s head at great speed. However, just as the harpoon reached her head, Tixis’s head suddenly blurred, splitting into several heads twisting in all directions. The harpoon eerily passed through her head, embedding in the ground beside her.

Tixis continued walking over.

Though the Final Destination curse spell was powerful, against someone strong enough to ignore accidents themselves, the curse became far less effective.

Tixis’s true body was no weakling.

“You think the reason I am in the Divine Punishment Division and most trusted by His Holiness the Pope is what? My immunity to secondary damage is just insurance. Most importantly, I am very strong myself!”

Tixis said proudly. Her immunity to secondary damage was merely insurance in battle. Against powerful enemies, she would use it to immunise their attacks before countering. But in reality, her own combat ability was far from weak. She was simply cautious and would not rashly fight with her true body.

As a woman who had lived three hundred years, her true body had long become terrifying!

This time, she failed to immunise Ye Chui’s secondary damage as planned, forcing her to risk summoning her true body. Yet she still did not believe she would lose to Ye Chui.

“Come, Ye Chui, the one who makes the gods nervous. Let me see just how powerful you are!” Tixis said with a cold laugh, stepping closer. A terrifying aura emanated from her.

Her bare feet looked light and soft, yet each step made the ground tremble. Her fingers were slender and tender, but as they brushed the air, space cracks spread like shattered glass in all directions.

Facing the powerful true Tixis, Bart and the Evans brothers inevitably grew tense. They felt this woman was even more terrifying than Faze, more troublesome than the Land Angel in the Puppet Graveyard. Evans had not attacked Tixis’s controlled zombies earlier, so his power was not yet immunised. He looked at Ye Chui and said quietly, “President Ye Chui, how should we attack? She looks very strong.”

“We do not need to act against her.” Ye Chui glanced at the tense Evans and shook his head.

“We do not need to act?” The others were stunned, but Debbie, Lesha, Green, those most familiar with Ye Chui’s power, already knew what he planned. Debbie glanced at Mishal, held in Ilabesa’s arms, and nodded. “Leaving it to them is indeed most suitable.”

“What is most suitable!?” Starry asked, confused.

Ye Chui did not answer. His eyes swept over the field of corpses, fixing on the approaching Tixis. A powerfully shocking music began to play. Accompanied by that music and a desolate narration, illusory undead spirits crawled out one by one from the ground corpses. These spirits were filled with malice, carrying endless resentment.

They were wrathful undead, transformed into terrifying vicious spirits by Tixis’s torment!

BGM: Undead Overture!
