“Ye… Ye Chui!!!” Taran and the others trembled violently upon seeing Ye Chui’s appearance, nearly dropping to their knees on the spot.
They absolutely never expected to see Ye Chui here at this moment. He and his companions had actually come to the Sin Continent?
Who was Ye Chui?
He had risen to prominence in Stan Town. Right after awakening his magic grimoire, he had clashed with the presidents of the Bull Head Magic Guild and the Goddess’s Kiss Magic Guild. In the end, both presidents died at Ye Chui’s hands. Later, when he left Stan Town, every event he experienced made its way back to the town. Those stories were even more legendary than the drunken tales spun by bards in the taverns, yet no one doubted their truth.
Facing such a person, Taran had long lost any desire to oppose him. Even thinking back to how their guild had once suppressed such a legend made him feel an awkward sense of self-reproach.
Ye Chui was a nightmare for many people.
Taran had sworn never to offend such a person again in his lifetime. Yet now, just as he was loudly berating the residents of Stan Town, betraying them, and about to slaughter them, this nightmare, this legend, stood before him once more.
Terror blanked Taran’s mind in an instant. He could hardly speak.
“Ye Chui! You… how did you all get here?” the tall and somewhat wild female swordswoman Ross cried out in shock.
Ye Chui waved at Ross, Gayton, and the others with a smile. “We came to save you.”
“Save us? This is the Sin Continent. How are you going to save us!?” Ross asked in astonishment. She naturally knew that no matter how powerful someone was in the outside world, here their strength would be sealed, reducing them to ordinary people. Ye Chui would not be any stronger in this world…
As Ross spoke, Taran suddenly snapped back to his senses. Ye Chui was just an ordinary person in the Sin Continent, nothing more than a seventeen- or eighteen-year-old boy. In terms of physique and strength, he was still inferior to himself. Moreover, Taran had already been here for more than half a month and had grown accustomed to the power suppression. If they really fought, the young Ye Chui would have no idea who his opponent truly was!
This thought made Taran’s breathing quicken. A ferocious grin spread across his face. “You almost fooled me. Your power has been sealed. You are just an ordinary person now. Haha, what an idiot. In a terrifying place like the Sin Continent, you still dare say you came here to save people? Save yourself first!”
Taran’s companions also recovered from their fear and glared menacingly at Ye Chui’s group.
At that exact moment, the empty ground on one side of the plaza suddenly lit up with ancient-looking magical characters. They connected into patterns that carried a profound and mysterious aura. A beam of light rose up. From within the beam, figures began to emerge. Many people were descending here through the Bridge!
Although called a Bridge, it was in truth a spatial teleportation gate. The magical characters on the ground formed the portal. When Ye Chui and the others had first arrived in Stan Town, they had appeared on just such a magical array teleportation gate.
Seeing the figures appear in the light beam, Taran immediately became even more arrogant. He shouted triumphantly, “The people from Moon Bay have arrived! They have descended here! You are all finished!”
The figures in the light beam gradually gained substance. The beam retracted. A fully armed force of over a hundred warriors appeared before everyone. They wore uniform armour, wielded various weapons, and some held magic staves!
“Lord Uday!” Taran’s face lit up with joy. He hurriedly stepped forward among them and called out to a grim-faced middle-aged man. Uday was precisely the master of Moon Bay’s fragment world.
“Taran, you did very well. We have arrived smoothly,” Uday said with a smile, praising Taran. “Once we conquer and devour Stan Town, I will reward you handsomely.”
“Thank you, Lord Uday. I will serve you faithfully,” Taran replied obsequiously at once. Then his tone shifted. “However, a slight unexpected situation has arisen now…”
“An unexpected situation?” Uday was taken aback.
Taran pointed at Ye Chui and explained to Uday, “His name is Ye Chui. He is a newcomer who just entered the Sin Continent. In the outside world, he and his companions established the Star Empire’s number one magic guild. They accomplished many great things. That Ye Chui has the nickname… he is someone who dared to oppose the Church…”
“Oh.” Hearing Taran’s words, Uday immediately became greatly interested in Ye Chui. He looked him up and down and spoke in a contemptuous tone. “So young, yet already achieved so much. Not bad. Pity you are still lacking a bit. If your strength was truly that great, how could you have been exiled to this world?”
When Ye Chui and his group had first appeared in the Sin Continent, they had caused a massive stir. However, the lower fragment worlds were far too vast. Although the Sky Ladder could transmit information, news of what had just happened in the central city would still take some time to spread throughout the entire lower world. Thus, the people from Moon Bay still did not know about the events in the central city.
Hearing Uday’s arrogant words, Debbie could not help asking, “What rank does Moon Bay hold in the lower world?”
“Moon Bay is ranked seven hundred and fiftieth among the strong worlds!” Taran quickly answered with an expression of immense pride.
Debbie and Green immediately sighed in a meaningful tone.
Good grief. Windless City, ranked in the top hundred, and Kane City, ranked around three hundred, were banned from the central city with just one sentence from them. A fragment world ranked seven hundred and fiftieth really was nothing worth looking at…
However, Uday seemed to interpret Debbie and Green’s sigh as shock. He sneered proudly and continued, “Still, the fact that you made such a name for yourselves outside proves you must have some extraordinary qualities. I can give you a chance. As long as you help kill those useless people in Stan Town, you will qualify to join Moon Bay!”
Taran immediately grew nervous.
Uday went on, “Ye Chui? Heh, that name sounds quite impressive. Unfortunately, in the Sin Continent, all your outside fame means nothing. Young man, kneel before me. You will secure a place for yourself in Moon Bay!”
Facing Uday’s recruitment, Ye Chui shook his head with a smile, his face showing a slightly helpless expression.
“What do you mean by that?” Ye Chui’s reaction angered the people from Moon Bay. A heavily armoured brute said coldly.
“Nothing,” Ye Chui replied calmly. “I just find it a little unfamiliar.”
“Unfamiliar with what?” Uday asked in a deep voice.
“Unfamiliar with someone still acting so arrogant after hearing my name,” Ye Chui answered seriously.
The Moon Bay group froze for a moment. The heavily armoured brute flew into a rage. With a whoosh, he drew a large blade from his waist and charged toward Ye Chui with overwhelming momentum, shouting harshly, “You think this is still the outside world? You dare speak to Uday, to us, like that? It seems you are tired of living. Let me send you on your way!”
In the midst of his words, he had already rushed in front of Ye Chui and raised his large blade.
Ye Chui remained unmoved.
Then, just as the blade was about to fall, a loud bang rang out. Amid exploding firelight, the brute’s heavy armour shattered into pieces. Blood sprayed everywhere as his body was violently flung aside, smashing into the ground as a mangled pile of flesh and blood, silent forever.
The one who fired was Green.
He held his shotgun with a delighted expression. “President, shotguns really are amazing!”
Everyone was stunned. Uday’s eyes lit up as he stared at the weapon in Green’s hand. In fact, when he had first appeared, he had noticed the modified firearms in Ye Chui’s, Debbie’s, and Green’s hands, but he had no idea what they were and thought they were just oddly shaped sticks. Now, seeing that thing effortlessly eliminate one of his subordinates, he realised it was a powerful magical creation brought into this world from the outside by Ye Chui’s group!
Uday reacted with great speed. He immediately made a decision. While everyone else was still reeling from shock, he drew a short sword from his waist with a whoosh. Despite his burly frame, he moved as nimbly as a ground squirrel. Skimming along the ground like a shadow, he instantly appeared in front of Green.
His body bent slightly. He held the short sword reversed and slashed upward toward Green’s arm!
Uday had exchanged some swordsman skills through the Sky Ladder light pillar!
“This magical creation is mine now!” A trace of glee rose in his heart.
However, the next moment, a burst of explosive rattling sounds erupted. Uday’s body, which had just begun to straighten, started twisting as if dancing. Firelight exploded behind him, piercing through his back and bursting bloody flowers across his chest. His body convulsed as he struggled to turn around. He saw Ye Chui holding a modified submachine gun, looking at him with disappointment from behind.
Since Uday had used sword skills to rush in front of Green, Ye Chui naturally appeared behind him. In truth, Uday had already planned to deal with Ye Chui immediately after taking care of Green. But he seemed to have misjudged something crucial.
“You didn’t really think we only had one of these magical creations, did you?” Ye Chui patted the submachine gun in his hand and said to Uday with feigned surprise.
Uday: “…”
Such a terrifying magical creation… even one was already incredibly powerful. Moreover, Green’s shotgun looked different from the submachine guns, machine guns, and sniper rifles in Ye Chui’s and the others’ hands. So he had assumed only Green’s weapon possessed such power. Who knew he would…
Uday’s body collapsed to the ground, twitching occasionally.
In his fading vision, Ye Chui pulled one, two, three, several more of these magical creations from his storage space and tossed them to Kas, Ross, Gayton, and the others.
In the final moments of Uday’s consciousness, what he heard was Ye Chui’s cold voice.
“Come on, everyone, one gun each. While we are at it, let’s take this chance to practise shooting…”
