Code Mage Chapter 591

Ye Chui and Debbie had gone through many adventures together: the Palace of the Goddess of Wealth, the Land of Buried Swords, and later the Crown Battlefield and the Puppet Graveyard. What Ye Chui did not know was that every time they entered these fragments of god domains, the fragment spaces quietly linked together without anyone noticing.

After they left the Land of Buried Swords, the Palace of the Goddess of Wealth appeared at the edge of the Land of Buried Swords. The Crown Battlefield and the Puppet Graveyard were more independent, so they did not merge with the other two regions, but a strange connection still formed between them.

In the Land of Buried Swords, the descendants of Godo gathered in the Holy Light Forest.

Godo, now aged and existing only as a guardian spirit, occasionally appeared before the tribespeople. As their ancestral founder and possessing immense power, he held the highest prestige among them.

Sensing the disturbance in the Land of Buried Swords, countless tribespeople grew anxious and prayed for their ancestor’s protection. Godo answered their prayers, appearing above the Holy Light Forest. He frowned, perceiving the abnormality in this alternate space, his expression filled with worry and caution.

“A powerful force is moving the Land of Buried Swords somewhere else. What exactly is that force…”

On the Continent of Divine Sin, within the Stan World god domain.

Ye Chui and his group were facing an invasion by blood elves.

Though called blood elves, they were actually humans who had received the blood elf inheritance. Blood elves were not a divine race, but in ancient times they had been renowned across the continent. Their bloodline, passed down through legends, now carried innate divinity. Those who inherited it gained greatly enhanced physical abilities and could absorb the blood of others to convert it into their own power.

They were, in effect, vampires.

In fact, the vampire myths that circulated on the Castro Continent referred precisely to blood elves.

The blood elf inheritors all had pale faces and slender builds, sharp fangs in their mouths, and ears that had become long and pointed like those of elves.

Their invasion initially caused considerable disruption to Stan World. The divine artefact of Stan World had not yet revived, so the residents’ physical conditions were only ordinary. They immediately suffered heavy losses, with many dying horribly at the hands of the blood elves.

However, Ye Chui’s Dragon Tooth troops and the orc warriors were no pushovers. In the dark night, bangs and booms of gunfire rang out continuously, relentlessly killing the vampires. At Ye Chui’s request, Debbie, Guni, and Salome, the three superwomen who had fully inherited the power of the Goddess of Wealth, went out to help hunt down the blood elves.

The Green Forest Square itself did not need their assistance.

The blood elves were also steadily moving toward the pillar of light from the heavenly ladder in the green forest.

When invading a god domain, the first priority was always to seize the divine artefact beneath the heavenly ladder’s light pillar.

Yet when they reached the outskirts of the green forest, they saw only Ye Chui holding Baby.

Baby had still been asleep moments before. Now dragged out by Ye Chui, she was yawning, her head nodding drowsily, a snot bubble hanging from her nose, looking utterly unable to stay awake.

“Who are you people? Just the two of you dare to block us?” the blood elf leader asked in a hoarse voice that seemed to carry the stench of blood.

“To deal with you, the two of us are enough,” Ye Chui replied calmly, though inwardly he felt some tension, unsure whether the rule he had obtained was correct. His other hand was hidden behind his back, tightly gripping a shotgun.

“Arrogant! I’ll drain every drop of your blood!” the blood elf leader roared madly. His body shot toward Ye Chui like a streak of blood, and the rest of the blood elves sprang into action.

Ye Chui remained on high alert. The next moment, his furrowed brows suddenly relaxed, for he had heard a notification voice.

“Lower inheritance attempting to attack upper inheritance: exterminate!”

Immediately afterwards, thunder boomed repeatedly. Bolts struck the blood elves one after another, reducing their bodies directly to piles of ash.

“Lower inheritance? No, it’s because of that seed…” the blood elves screamed just before turning to ash, then their forms and souls were utterly destroyed.

“Seed?” Ye Chui paused in slight confusion. He noticed one blood elf in the distance who had escaped harm. While the others had rushed to attack, this one had cautiously held back, hiding behind a large tree.

Seeing the situation turn bad, he immediately tried to flee.

Bang. Ye Chui fired, blasting apart a tree as thick as a bowl. The blood elf shuddered and collapsed to the ground.

“What did he mean by ‘seed’? Tell me!” Ye Chui aimed his gun at the blood elf and asked in a friendly tone.

“Y-yes…”

The blood elf inheritor hurriedly agreed.

It turned out that a thousand years earlier, the world of the blood elves had obtained a divine artefact and the blood elf inheritance, becoming a god domain. However, the blood elf inheritance was an elven inheritance. When humans received it, their bloodline was affected, making their minds cruel and bloodthirsty, difficult to control. To find a solution, the blood elf leader of that time had exhausted every method to contact the lower-layer Green Forest World and bestowed the blood elf inheritance upon the Elf King. He hoped the Elf King would gain the complete inheritance, ascend to the middle layer, and then provide a way to escape the curse.

Thus the Elf King became known to them as the “seed”.

They had not expected that, after receiving the inheritance, the Elf King had no desire whatsoever to enter the middle layer. Instead, he was content to remain forever in the lower layer. A thousand years passed in a flash, and most people in the blood elf world had even forgotten about the seed, until now.

The Elf King had once been defeated by Ye Chui, turning the blood elf inheritance into Ye Chui’s lower inheritance. When a lower inheritance attacked an upper one, heavenly punishment followed.

“So that’s what happened.”

This cleared up some of Ye Chui’s questions and explained where the Elf King’s blood elf inheritance had come from.

As the blood elf leader died under heavenly punishment, the remaining blood elves felt their own power weaken. Realising something was wrong and learning what had occurred, they lost all will to fight. The Stan god domain’s artefact was currently damaged and unable to function, but once it recovered, every person in Stan World would receive its blessing. At that point, any attack on a civilian would trigger terrifying heavenly punishment.

They fled Stan World in blind panic. Of course, those who had harmed Stan World civilians were dealt with directly on Ye Chui’s orders, so in the end only three blood elves escaped…

Stan World had repelled the second wave of invasion! chapter_content();

When Ye Chui returned to the temple, the sky had fully brightened.

The divine artefact’s progress had reached ninety-seven percent. In just over half an hour, the upgrade would complete.

Then Stan World would once again become a true god domain, fearing nothing.

Yet just as Ye Chui began to relax, Cass sensed yet another invasion from a different god domain.

With only half an hour left until Ye Chui’s iPad finished upgrading, the third invasion began.

Cass’s expression grew gravely serious. “Our artefact is malfunctioning, so the other middle-layer god domains have immediately turned their attention to us. This invading world… it’s incredibly strong! They are countless times more powerful than the blood elves or the ice and snow world!”

Debbie, Guni, and Salome had been chasing blood elves all over Stan World and had only just returned to the temple, feeling utterly exhausted and wanting to rest. Hearing Cass’s words, they instantly tensed again and looked toward the sky.

The burning Golden City had become the sun, hanging high above. At that moment a massive rift tore open in the sky, as though the heavens themselves were splitting apart. Golden pillars of light began falling from it one by one.

There were only seven pillars.

All seven plummeted straight toward the temple.

“Everyone be careful. They’re coming directly for our artefact!” Ye Chui shouted in warning.

A series of loud booms followed. Several trees around the temple shook and toppled. Amid burning flames, figures emerged: seven people, four men and three women.

All were strikingly attractive, each radiating a completely different aura, unlike the warriors from domains such as the Golden City or the Ice Cold God Domain. They appeared to have inherited the legacies of different gods.

“Your artefact has indeed suffered severe damage. I can sense that all your powers are weakened,” said one of the seven, a tall swordsman, in a deep voice as he glanced toward the temple.

“Are you trying to take advantage and invade us?” Ye Chui stepped forward and asked.

The tall swordsman looked at Ye Chui with faint surprise, then glanced at Cass. He could tell Cass was the master of Stan World, yet Ye Chui seemed to hold unusual authority.

“In the War of Gods, it is either I destroy you or you destroy me. Since your artefact is damaged and we can invade, we naturally won’t hold back,” the tall swordsman replied honestly with a nod. “I had worried this might be a trap, that you deliberately lured other domains to invade so you could eliminate them. But now I see I was wrong. Your artefact truly is damaged. Submit to us, and we will spare your world.”

“And if we refuse?” Ye Chui asked.

“Then I’m sorry. The War of Gods allows no mercy.” The tall swordsman shook his head.

A blue-haired woman spoke up. “Actually, we do not wish to fight needlessly. The time of the prophecy is approaching. Perhaps a great opportunity to leave the Continent of Divine Sin will soon arrive, and we want to seize it firmly. Submit to us, and you may become part of the Temple of Gods.”

“The Temple of Gods?” Ye Chui was taken aback, his interest piqued by the prophecy the blue-haired woman had mentioned.

“Our domain is called the Temple of Gods God Domain. As you see, we are a union of several divine inheritances. We are also the strongest god domain in the middle layer!” the tall man explained. Then he introduced himself. “I am an upper god, inheritor of the God of the Battlefield.”

“I am the inheritor of the God of Torrential Rain,” the blue-haired woman said.

The others introduced their inheritances in turn.

“I am the inheritor of the God of Selflessness!”

“I am the inheritor of the God of Catastrophe!”

“I am the inheritor of the God of Harvest!”

“I am the inheritor of the God of Gale!”

“I am the inheritor of the God of Earth-Splitting!”

Each struck an extremely cool pose immediately after their introduction. Soon it reached the last one, a long-haired man in white robes decorated with all manner of flower patterns. He looked flamboyant, and a faint stench wafted from him. He opened his mouth and said, “I am…”

Debbie pinched her nose and interrupted. “I know already. You’re the inheritor of the God of Shit!”

“God of Shit…”

The man in white instantly flushed with embarrassment and rage. He roared, “I am the inheritor of the God of Flowers! The scent on me is fragrance, but it is so rich that it smells a little off. It is fragrance! Fragrance!”

As he roared, the smell seemed to grow even stronger.

His companions quietly shifted away, looking as though they could hardly bear it.

The God of Shit, no, the inheritor of the God of Flowers, flew into a fury and stepped forward toward Ye Chui and the others. “Enough talk. The Temple of Gods admires how you resisted the Ice and Snow World and those perverted blood elves, so we invite you to join us. We ourselves do not wish to cause excessive slaughter, therefore we are willing to settle this with a fair contest!”

“Oh? What kind of contest?” Ye Chui asked curiously.

The tall man, the inheritor of the God of the Battlefield, answered. “We will fight seven matches. If you win four, we will withdraw and even join your god domain, obeying your commands thereafter. But if we win more than four, you will join our Temple of Gods. I sense you possess several inheritances yourselves, and from your resistance against the Ice and Snow God Domain and the blood elves, your strength is clearly formidable. You won’t refuse this wager, will you?”

Hearing the Battlefield God inheritor’s words, Ye Chui and his companions exchanged glances. This Temple of Gods did not seem the sort to annex or fight over every disagreement. Their proposal aimed to resolve the conflict more peacefully.

A best-of-seven, first to four victories format suited Ye Chui perfectly. Debbie, Guni, and Salome had only just received the full power inheritance of the Goddess of Wealth and could certainly defeat their opponents. They could stall for time during the fights. By the fourth match, Ye Chui’s iPad would have finished upgrading. Then Ye Chui could take the field himself and victory would be assured.

With that in mind, Ye Chui nodded at once. “Very well. I accept your proposal!”

“Then I’ll take the first match!” the Flower God inheritor shouted, stepping forward aggressively. He glared provocatively at Debbie, still furious over her “God of Shit” remark.

Debbie pushed through the group and faced him. “Shit God, then I’ll be your opponent!”
