Lan Xiaobu extended his divine sense, finding this place indistinguishable from others, with similar cosmic rules. Yet, an inexplicable unease gnawed at him.
After observing with his divine sense for a while and finding nothing unusual, Lan Xiaobu decided to have the Cosmic Dimension Model construct the dimensional structure of this space.
An hour later, his expression darkened. Without hesitation, he employed his Rule Escape Technique to retreat. But no matter how he tried, he couldn’t leave this space.
Lan Xiaobu realised he’d been tricked by Zhong Wuchi. He’d thought he’d seen through Zhong Wuchi’s scheme, but everything had been within the man’s calculations.
The location jade slip Zhong Wuchi gave him had its charm fade, but Lan Xiaobu had managed to replicate the charm before it vanished. He hadn’t expected this was deliberate—Zhong Wuchi likely knew he could copy the charm, using it to make the jade slip’s described location seem more authentic.
This bastard played a clever game of deception, and Lan Xiaobu had fallen for it. Zhong Wuchi’s oath was flawless—he swore not to tell a third party about this place, which was irrelevant since Lan Xiaobu hadn’t cared whether the location itself was safe.
Lan Xiaobu didn’t continue wandering aimlessly. He knew that without the Seven Realm Stone, he’d have been doomed here today.
According to the Cosmic Dimension Model’s structure, the spatial laws here belonged to a cultivator’s personal domain. This meant it was either someone’s world, consciousness sea, or another private space.
For a cultivator, entering another’s private space was taboo—equivalent to placing one’s life in their hands.
Fortunately, Lan Xiaobu hadn’t faced any threats so far. His timely discovery was a stroke of luck; otherwise, proving his Dao here would be like stripping naked for others to scrutinise. Proving Dao in another’s world meant his Dao would never surpass theirs.
There was a slim chance Zhong Wuchi was unaware of the danger, but Lan Xiaobu deemed it unlikely.
Realising where he was, Lan Xiaobu didn’t hesitate. He summoned the Seven Realm Stone. The space around it began to ripple, all spatial rules fragile before it.
In an instant, the Seven Realm Stone tore a rift and shot out. It could traverse universes, let alone a cultivator’s world—unless that world’s level surpassed the stone’s. If this world was tied to Zhong Wuchi, it couldn’t possibly outrank the Seven Realm Stone, even if Zhong Wuchi was once a Creation Sage.
Emerging from the space, the oppressive discomfort vanished.
Lan Xiaobu breathed a sigh of relief, sensing he was still in the Land of Eternal Life. With the Seven Realm Stone, even if he left, he could return.
Stowing the stone, he examined the jade slip again. The location it indicated was nearby, meaning the Seven Realm Stone had only torn through the world that trapped him.
Lan Xiaobu didn’t leave. He headed back to the jade slip’s location.
This time, he relied neither on the Seven Realm Stone nor the Reincarnation Pot, advancing cautiously with his escape technique. Soon, he noticed something off. The jade slip’s charm followed a highly regular trajectory, aligned with a specific spatial pattern.
After five days of travel, Lan Xiaobu stopped. Before him was a narrow stream. According to the jade slip’s charm, he needed to cross it to proceed.
But Lan Xiaobu knew the stream was key. Crossing it with the jade slip would trap him in that world again.
Instead of using the Cosmic Dimension Model, he spent a full day sensing the stream’s surroundings, eventually locating the spatial entrance to that world.
Having found it, Lan Xiaobu didn’t hold back. He began setting up a void grand array. His array mastery surpassed Zhong Wuchi’s. If Zhong Wuchi dared come here, Lan Xiaobu’s array would monitor and trap him, teleporting him into the Cosmic Dimension Model.
Before integrating the Land of Eternal Life’s cosmic rules, Lan Xiaobu couldn’t have done this. Now, it was effortless.
After completing the void grand array, he didn’t stop. He set up an explosive array, designed to blast open the hidden world if triggered.
He held off for two reasons: he hadn’t caught Zhong Wuchi, and this world—whether someone’s domain or consciousness sea—hadn’t directly harmed him.
With this done, Lan Xiaobu used his escape technique to depart.
A month later, he stopped in a desolate wilderness. Proving the Karma Dao here wasn’t ideal, but he couldn’t wait. He had to prove it now.
After setting up layers of defensive arrays, shielding restrictions, and a teleportation array, Lan Xiaobu took out the Karma Dao Scroll.
He believed this principle applied not just to Karma laws but to all laws. Take Fate laws—if his Dao and cosmic comprehension far exceeded a Fate Sage’s, their Fate laws couldn’t control his Dao’s destiny.
One by one, Lan Xiaobu comprehended the Karma laws, integrating them into his Longevity Dao, forming a Karma law unique to it. As time passed, a faint new law appeared around his Longevity Dao Tree.
Deep in the Burial Dao Plain, Mo Wuji stared excitedly at a glowing ring hovering in his hand. If he showed it to others, no one would believe it was the Wheel of Time, one of the supreme heaven-opening treasures.
As Lan Xiaobu’s Dao intent seeped into the Karma Dao Scroll, Karma laws swirled around him.
Though familiar with Karma laws, he hadn’t studied them deeply. Now he understood: true Karma transcended time and space. Its fearsome power lay in its ability to transmit through all cosmic rules, unbound by any other Dao law.
If another Dao law or cosmic rule could override Karma or resist its influence, the issue wasn’t the Karma law itself but the cultivator’s comprehension.
In other words, if his Dao vastly surpassed a Karma Sage’s, he could override their Karma laws, immune to their influence. Conversely, if someone’s Dao outstripped his, they’d be immune to his Karma laws.
All traces of a cosmic sage’s intent and marks in the Wheel of Time had been stripped by Mo Wuji. It now belonged entirely to him. If he wished, he could wield it to annihilate existences billions of miles away.
After so long in the Land of Eternal Life, spent fleeing and comprehending the Dao, he had finally claimed a supreme treasure.
The only regret was that the Wheel of Time held no valuable items. Likely, the cosmic sage, intending to fuse with it, dared not store anything inside.
Without stowing the Wheel, Mo Wuji began proving the Eternal Life Realm.
Mortal Dao laws emerged, enveloping him. If outsiders saw this, they’d be stunned. This was the Burial Dao Plain, yet Mo Wuji’s Mortal Dao laws stood firm, not buried, established through the vast cosmos rather than personal intent. No longer a small, self-focused Dao declaration, it was an infinite cosmic one.
He integrated his Mortal Dao into the cosmos. Henceforth, the Mortal Dao would exist as an Eternal Life law within the cosmos. Any cultivator comprehending the Mortal Dao would enhance Mo Wuji’s merit and Dao strength.
As his Dao grew polished, the Mortal Dao laws around him faded, and he became ordinary again. In the Burial Dao Plain, he was its most unremarkable existence. Outside it, he’d blend seamlessly into any environment.
Half a year later, Mo Wuji stood, his Mortal Dao charm restrained. He was now a true Creation Sage.
No trace of his Dao showed signs of being stripped or buried.
His Dao was pristine, unmarred even in the Burial Dao Plain.
As the Mortal Dao laws flowed, his aura shifted—not just growing stronger, but with the vast, enduring Eternal Life laws becoming clearer.
With a long cry, Mo Wuji declared, “Today, I, Mo Wuji, establish the Mortal Dao in the cosmos, seeking the Eternal Life Realm. Henceforth, all malevolent forces in the cosmos shall be suppressed by my Mortal Dao. My Mortal Dao shall stand as an Eternal Life law, impervious to all external Dao laws…”
This wasn’t his first Dao declaration, but this time, it wasn’t for himself but for the cosmos. “Time to claim that white bone,” he thought. Once he had it, he could settle scores.
Creation Sages who owed him would pay, sooner or later.
