The Tianji Bone was gone? After Lan Xiaobu used the Seven Realms Stone to reach the Tianji Bone’s location in Burial Dao Plain as quickly as possible, he found the massive white bone missing.
Its absence only mildly surprised him. He immediately deployed 108 ruleless array flags, setting up a trapping-killing array.
Once the array was complete, Lan Xiaobu summoned the Cosmic Mill. This wasn’t an ordinary opponent but a Fortune Saint. Without the Cosmic Mill, killing a Fortune Saint was unrealistic.
He concealed the Cosmic Mill among the 108 ruleless array flags. If Heaven and Earth Saint entered, he’d be within the Cosmic Mill’s range.
Lan Xiaobu didn’t believe anyone could escape the Cosmic Mill once inside. Even a Fortune Saint couldn’t easily break free.
Heaven and Earth Saint Gu Yuechen’s mood mirrored Tianji Saint’s. After losing the Wheel of Time, he was consumed with the urge to capture Mo Wuji and reclaim his treasure.
For the Wheel, he disregarded the unspoken rule among Fortune Saints. He first destroyed Imperishable Sea’s dojo, killed Zhuang Yongzhi, a disciple of Imperishable Saint, and then attacked Tianji Saint’s Tianji Bone dojo.
Unaware that Lan Xiaobu and Mo Wuji were teaming up against him, he’d have chased regardless. Creation Dao was strong, but only Creation Dao. Two or two hundred, he, Heaven and Earth Saint, feared none.
Still, upon reaching the edge of Burial Dao Plain, he hesitated. Elsewhere, he’d fear no number of Creation Dao Saints, but Burial Dao Plain gave him pause.
Take the Tianji Bone: its value was evident to Fortune Saints. Yet, despite Kong Yangshan holding it in Burial Dao Plain, why did no one seize it?
First, the Tianji Bone couldn’t be taken without a cosmic treasure. Second, Burial Dao Plain was too dangerous. Even Fortune Saints risked having their dao rules buried there. It was said that one’s personal dao was best suited to survive Burial Dao Plain, even purifying dao rules. But Eternal Life Land’s Fortune Saints mostly cultivated cosmic dao. Only one had cultivated a personal dao, and that person had left.
Kong Yangshan’s control of the Tianji Bone shielded him from Burial Dao Plain’s dao corrosion. The burial dao rules around the Bone were weaker, allowing him to hold ground.
As long as Kong Yangshan stayed in Burial Dao Plain, Fortune Saints wouldn’t risk seizing his Tianji Bone. If they couldn’t, others had no chance.
Facing Burial Dao Plain, Heaven and Earth Saint paused briefly before charging in. He had to. Any more hesitation, and Mo Wuji’s faint spatial fluctuations would vanish.
Burial Dao Plain wasn’t kind to Fortune Saints, but against two Creation Dao Saints, he wasn’t overly concerned. This was his first lead since losing the Wheel of Time—how could he let it slip?
Unsure of Lan Xiaobu’s preparations, Mo Wuji sped up after entering Burial Dao Plain.
In less than half a day, he reached the spot where he’d taken the Tianji Bone. It looked ordinary, but he sensed a subtle danger in the space.
He knew this was Lan Xiaobu’s killing setup, aimed not at him but at Heaven and Earth Saint. Feeling the danger, he unhesitatingly drew countless void array patterns.
In moments, these patterns concealed the threats.
Hidden in his array, Lan Xiaobu watched Mo Wuji set up the void patterns, inwardly impressed. His own void patterns were top-tier, but Mo Wuji’s were better—not because Lan Xiaobu’s dao was inferior, but because each had strengths. Mo Wuji surely cultivated Mortal Dao, crafting seamless, silent patterns blending into the void.
Brother Guanhuan and Meteor also cultivated Mortal Dao, but compared to Mo Wuji, they seemed far behind. The same dao, different cultivators, yielded different results.
After setting the patterns, Mo Wuji summoned the white bone and entered it.
Only then did Lan Xiaobu realize Mo Wuji had taken the bone from here.
In Burial Dao Plain, Heaven and Earth Saint’s face darkened. He’d lost Mo Wuji’s spatial fluctuations and could only search by instinct.
Mo Wuji’s survival in the cosmos, evading Fortune Saints, wasn’t just due to strength but cunning.
If Heaven and Earth Saint could sense his movement fluctuations outside, that was normal. But in Burial Dao Plain, where all dao rules were buried, detecting them was not.
Mo Wuji trusted that a powerhouse like Heaven and Earth Saint, following his instincts, would find him.
Indeed, Mo Wuji hadn’t underestimated him. In just two days, Heaven and Earth Saint appeared outside the white bone.
Staring at it, he didn’t act immediately. He recognized it as Kong Yangshan’s. He was unaware it had been taken, as Kong Yangshan and Eternal Life Saint hadn’t publicized Mo Wuji’s theft to catch him.
Despite years of searching, Heaven and Earth Saint didn’t know the bone was no longer Kong Yangshan’s.
Mo Wuji seemed to sense something. He rushed out, saw Heaven and Earth Saint, and his eyes narrowed. He quickly stored the bone, his dao rules fluctuating.
If Heaven and Earth Saint had hesitated, seeing Mo Wuji stow the bone and his startled reaction erased all doubt. He pounced, certain his pursuit had caught Mo Wuji off guard.
Before reaching Mo Wuji’s domain, Heaven and Earth Saint’s Heaven and Earth Domain surged, a giant axe unleashing a torrent of killing dao charm, enveloping Mo Wuji’s space. He roared, “Mo Wuji, return my treasure, and I, Gu Yuechen, will spare you once. I keep my word.”
Mo Wuji let out a long cry, summoning the Mortal Halberd. “Gu Yuechen, this will be your burial ground.”
Boom! Their dao rules collided, shattering countless cosmic rules, instantly buried by Burial Dao Plain.
Gu Yuechen snorted, his Dao-Severing Axe emitting a humming chant. A dao charm capable of annihilating entire cosmic daos erupted. His first axe was to trap Mo Wuji; this one was his true divine technique: Dao Severance.
But as the severance dao rules formed, Gu Yuechen’s face changed. A deathly aura crushed him, his severance dao rules suppressed, as if an invisible hand ground him down.
Then he saw a colossal mill, expanding endlessly. All cosmic rules, divine dao rules, dao charms, and saint domains were pulverized like eggshells under it.
And he, Gu Yuechen, was at its center. Once it ground away all rules, charms, and domains, it would grind him.
“Cosmic Mill…” Gu Yuechen’s face paled. He hadn’t expected to encounter the Cosmic Mill. Only a fool wouldn’t see he’d been lured into a trap to be ground down.
No matter how precious the Wheel of Time was, he couldn’t stay. He frantically retreated, desperate to escape the Cosmic Mill’s killing zone.
Under such a cosmic treasure, not just him—even all the other saints together—would be ground to nothing.
Many cosmic treasures existed, but the Cosmic Mill was rumored to be the top killing treasure among the nine, just as his Wheel of Time was the top intent treasure.
“Since you’re here, don’t leave. Behold my Mortal Realm!”
Gu Yuechen had retreated only a dozen zhang when a vast, boundless finger shadow crashed down.
