As the array flags were activated, Mo Wuji reached into the void with a grab, and a booming sound rang out, as if something had been ripped open. The entire Mengmu Dayan space instantly became clear, no longer shrouded in the hazy mist from before.
At that moment, even with the naked eye, one could see everything in Mengmu Dayan below. Standing on the Seven Realms Stone, Mo Wuji thrust out a finger.

In this moment, heaven and earth became the furnace, creation the craftsman, yin and yang the fuel, and all things the copper. Mo Wuji’s finger unleashed vast creation dao laws, turning the entirety of Mengmu Dayan’s domain into a colossal furnace, where everything within became dust that could be melted.
Mengmu Dayan’s endless mountain ranges collapsed one after another, and its magnificent buildings crumbled, swiftly dissolving into the creation world formed by this finger.
“What a divine technique,” Lan Xiaobu praised, his hands weaving dao rhythms. A majestic divine dao law surged forth. Before it even landed, Mo Wuji sensed the heavens seemed about to be severed, as if nothing could remain whole under this dao law.
Mo Wuji immediately recognized this wasn’t the Great Destruction Technique but the Great Severance Technique. He knew Lan Xiaobu’s Great Severance Technique had reached a new level. Typically, the Great Severance Technique would be sharp and cutting, severing all dao laws. But now, Lan Xiaobu’s version lacked that sharp edge, instead radiating vast and boundless power.
At the same time, deep within Mengmu Dayan’s main peak, the Great Dream dao laws had fully locked onto all of Haoyuan Universe’s fortune, frantically siphoning it away.
But at this critical moment, everything seemed to freeze. A terrifying melting aura swept over, and they could clearly feel everything in Mengmu Dayan dissolving—mountains shattering, dao laws obliterating, heavens collapsing.
Mengmu Dayan had caused countless universes to perish, so they recognized this fearsome aura instantly as a supreme divine technique. If they continued their task without addressing the outside threat, they would be reduced to nothing under this technique.
The blue-robed enforcer in the center stood abruptly and shouted, “It’s no longer feasible. Everyone, fight your way out.”
Staying here was a death sentence. Since completing their task was impossible, they might as well charge out together.
The Mengmu Dayan enforcers stood in unison, but at that moment, a severing dao law, capable of tearing through the vast universe, descended from the void.
“Great Severance Technique, retreat now!” a green-robed enforcer roared, desperately pulling back.
Lan Xiaobu, at the Derivation Realm, unleashed a Great Severance Technique that not everyone could evade. Moreover, the Mengmu Dayan enforcers, after days of effort, had already depleted much of their vital energy.
Several yellow-robed enforcers’ domains were torn apart by the Great Severance Technique, their bodies reduced to bloody pulp.
In that moment, no one remembered their mission. Every Mengmu Dayan enforcer fled frantically. Only the skull remained, struck by the Great Severance Technique and split in two.
Yet the skull quickly reformed, though its dao law aura weakened. The next moment, it vanished into a sub-space.
The enforcers had just rushed out of the main peak when they realized Mengmu Dayan’s mountains were dissolving, and with the Great Severance Technique, the dojo was in ruins.
As they emerged, a destructive aura exploded from the void. Under this aura, everything would be annihilated.
“A universe-opening divine technique, the Great Destruction Technique,” the blue-robed enforcer’s face turned pale. He didn’t know what powerful entity Mengmu Dayan had offended. The earlier melting technique, Great Severance Technique, and now Great Destruction Technique were all universe-opening level.
Boom, boom, boom. Even though Lan Xiaobu only unleashed the Great Destruction Technique within Mengmu Dayan’s dojo, the destructive dao laws began shattering the entire dojo. The rules of heaven and earth fractured, and the already dissolving mountains and rivers continued to break apart.
Yellow-robed enforcers couldn’t escape the terrifying destructive dao laws, disintegrating into nothingness.
The advantage of Lan Xiaobu’s initial Great Severance Technique became clear. Its severing dao laws crisscrossed, preventing the enforcers’ domains from forming, leaving them helpless under the Great Destruction Technique.
Several green-robed enforcers finally spotted Lan Xiaobu and Mo Wuji above Mengmu Dayan and charged at them frantically.
“You handle these green-robes. There’s a blue-robe hiding, preparing to ambush. I’ll deal with him first,” Mo Wuji transmitted quickly, his Wheel of Time already surging. At the same time, he activated a trapping-killing array.
Lan Xiaobu’s hands unleashed continuous destructive dao laws. Seeing the green-robed enforcers charging, he decisively summoned the Cosmic Mill, which anchored the trapping array.
Having planned for days and using universe-opening treasures to anchor the trapping-killing array, Lan Xiaobu and Mo Wuji faced enforcers whose strength was less than half, catching them off guard in a one-sided slaughter.
Though the green-robed enforcers weren’t swept away by the Great Destruction Technique, the trapping-killing array locked their saint domains, preventing them from escaping, let alone attacking Lan Xiaobu. Under the destructive dao laws and the array, they could only watch as two massive millstones crushed toward them.
Pfft, pfft, pfft. Blood mist exploded as the green-robed enforcers were slaughtered one by one.
Mengmu Dayan’s sole blue-robed enforcer, sensing the Wheel of Time’s temporal dao law and the Cosmic Mill’s terrifying killing aura, felt a flash of despair. He knew Mengmu Dayan was finished. He might, with desperate effort, take down one of the two, but it would be meaningless. If he acted, he’d still be killed. Moreover, he sensed the trapping-killing array was anchored by a universe-opening treasure, making success uncertain.
With this in mind, the blue-robed enforcer abandoned his plan to ambush Lan Xiaobu or Mo Wuji. He activated a talisman, which conjured a black mist that enveloped him, forcibly breaking through the trapping-killing array.
Boom! The Wheel of Time obliterated the space where the blue-robed enforcer had hidden, but he was gone.
Mo Wuji glanced at Lan Xiaobu, effortlessly cutting down enforcers with the trapping-killing array and Cosmic Mill, and sighed, “The blue-robed enforcer escaped.”
Knowing the blue-robe had fled, the remaining enforcers fled even more frantically. None wanted to stay and fight Lan Xiaobu and Mo Wuji. The blue-robed enforcer, second only to the Fourth Step ancestor in Mengmu Dayan, represented supreme authority. If even he fled, why would they stay to die?
But while the blue-robed enforcer escaped, the others couldn’t. Under Lan Xiaobu and Mo Wuji’s trapping-killing array, combined with the Cosmic Mill and Wheel of Time, the enforcers were slaughtered one by one.
A day later, Lan Xiaobu looked at the ruined Mengmu Dayan and sighed, “What a pity. These enforcers surely had plenty of treasures, and we didn’t get any.”
Mo Wuji smiled, “We’ve already gained far more. Besides, though the green-robed enforcers were suppressed by our trapping-killing array and easily slaughtered, many weren’t pushovers. If they’d escaped the array anchored by universe-opening treasures, opening their worlds might have backfired on us. This outcome is the best.”
“You’re right. Let’s go. Now that we’ve destroyed Mengmu Dayan, with only the blue-robe escaping, we don’t need to teleport out. We can leave Haoyuan Universe openly. In a way, we’ve done Haoyuan Universe a favour. Without us, not only Haoyuan Universe but others would have suffered,” Lan Xiaobu said.
Mo Wuji nodded, hesitating before saying, “I feel like we’ve left something undone, but I checked, and we’ve indeed wiped out all the enforcers here.”
Lan Xiaobu grinned proudly, “Even if a few slipped through, so what? Let them come find us if they dare. I’d welcome it. Let’s go.”
Mo Wuji agreed. Once they established Bai Ling Universe, they could achieve the Creation Saint Realm there. Reaching that realm, they’d have a shot at the Fourth Step. Ordinary foes wouldn’t scare them. If a Fourth Step came, Bai Ling Universe’s protective array, anchored by the Inextinguishable Hammer, should hold.
After Mo Wuji and Lan Xiaobu left, Mengmu Dayan was less than ruins. But deep within the main peak, in a faint, almost imperceptible space, the skull, previously torn by Lan Xiaobu’s Great Severance Technique, lingered.
