Deserted World Chapter 945

At the Six Paths Nirvana Land, Lan Xiaobu arrived once more only to find the Reincarnation Saint gone. Clearly, the Reincarnation Saint had perfected his Six Paths Dao laws and left long ago.

Lan Xiaobu felt a wave of helplessness. He’d planned to ask the Reincarnation Saint to guide him to the fourth realm flag of the Seven Realm Stone, but with the saint absent, he could only turn to seeking the Causality Dao scroll.

He had a coordinate sphere hinting at the possible location of the Causality Dao scroll. Following it would surely lead him to the place.

The Reincarnation Pot burst out of the Six Paths Nirvana Land. Lan Xiaobu noticed the coordinates on the sphere, obtained from the Fallen Saint’s world, were frustratingly vague. Only two scenarios could explain this: either the sphere was poorly made with incomplete spatial rules, or the location was incredibly distant from his current position.

Knowing the Reincarnation Pot’s speed was exceptional, Lan Xiaobu wasn’t too concerned. No matter the distance, it would just take a bit more time.

But after nearly a year of continuous flight, he sensed something off. Even if the destination was still far, the coordinates shouldn’t remain as blurry as they were a year ago—no change at all.

With that in mind, he summoned the Chaos Unicorn, “Taichuan, take control of the Reincarnation Pot. I need to analyse this coordinate sphere.”

“Sure, big brother,” Taichuan replied. As a Chaos Unicorn of immense value, it had been cultivating in Lan Xiaobu’s Longevity Realm. Being called out now thrilled it. Gone was the timid, newly minted eighth-rank divine beast; Taichuan had matured significantly.

With the Chaos Unicorn steering, the Reincarnation Pot slowed considerably.

Lan Xiaobu didn’t mind. He sent his divine sense into the crystal sphere, peeling away its Dao charm to isolate the spatial data. The sphere clearly wasn’t crafted by the Fallen Saint, yet its Dao aura was potent.

Initially, he’d assumed that as a Fifth-Turn Saint who’d proven five top-tier Daos, he could easily strip the charm and trace its origin, even if a Ninth-Turn Saint had made it.

Ten months later, however, his confidence waned. Without having proven the Dao of heavenly rules, not only would he fail to extract the charm’s essence, but even touching its traces would’ve been a struggle. Worse, though he’d mastered the Rules Dao, he couldn’t dissect the sphere’s rules one by one and isolate them.

In that moment, Lan Xiaobu genuinely questioned whether his Longevity Dao was the strongest. Longevity was his goal, but was pursuing it as a Dao truly supreme? Besides, longevity didn’t require the Longevity Dao—countless Daos could lead there.

He stopped trying to unravel the sphere’s essence, frowning as he pondered his own Dao.

One year, ten years, a hundred years…

*Boom!* A violent tremor jolted him from his reverie. Shocked, he realised the Reincarnation Pot had plunged into a spatial vortex.

Even having proven the Dao of Space, Lan Xiaobu wouldn’t dare cross a vortex like this. He instantly swept up the pot and Taichuan, retreating into the Cosmic Dimension Model.

“Big brother, it’s my fault,” Taichuan said, head drooping like a scolded child. Entrusted with the Cosmic Dimension Model, it had steered them straight into a void vortex.

“What happened?” Lan Xiaobu asked, not particularly upset. He’d been lost in his Dao, stuck in a mental dead end. Without this jolt, he might’ve developed an unhealthy fixation.

“I broke through to ninth rank, triggering a lightning tribulation. I didn’t notice the pot and got caught in the vortex,” Taichuan admitted sheepishly.

Lan Xiaobu then noticed Taichuan had indeed reached ninth-rank divine beast status. He nodded, “I’ll take the helm from here. Don’t go back to the Longevity Realm—cultivate out here instead.”

Taichuan’s progress in the Longevity Realm had been sluggish, yet out here, it advanced rapidly. The outside clearly suited it better.

The Longevity Realm, built from his own Dao laws, wasn’t ideal for prolonged cultivation—even Su Cen couldn’t stay too long, let alone Taichuan, who’d already been an eighth-rank beast. Now, Lan Xiaobu vaguely sensed that longevity didn’t necessarily demand the Longevity Dao.

His divine sense stretched out. The Cosmic Dimension Model was still tumbling through the vortex, swept along by its powerful currents. It hadn’t yet emerged.

Lan Xiaobu pocketed the sphere, abandoning the idea of using the Cosmic Dimension Model to map its structure. He suspected his limitations stemmed from over-reliance on it.

The Cosmic Dimension Model was a treasure, no doubt, but leaning on it too much restricted his Dao. It was convenient, yet as his strength grew, its drawbacks became glaring.

Even his Longevity Art had been affected.

He’d derived the Longevity Art himself as a mere Golden Immortal, often using the Cosmic Dimension Model to build its framework when his understanding was shallow. Thus, its concepts still bore the model’s imprint.

Seeing Lan Xiaobu didn’t blame it, Taichuan hurried aside to stabilise its new rank. Freshly ninth-rank, it had triggered a tribulation—if Lan Xiaobu hadn’t pulled it into the model, it’d be lost in the vortex.

Lan Xiaobu resumed contemplating his Dao. Causality and Reincarnation Daos were impressive, but he didn’t think they outshone his Longevity Art.

The Rules Dao, though…

He recalled peeling the sphere—only the Rules Dao had aided him. Without it, he wouldn’t have grazed its charm. Yet even with it, his mastery seemed confined to the Great Desolate Divine Realm…

A flash of insight streaked through his mind. Whether he’d proven Fortune, Rules, Reincarnation, Space, or Merit…

Each seemed to carry a massive limitation, tying him to the realm or cosmos he’d proven them in. In the Great Desolate Divine Realm, he’d crushed the Fallen Saint effortlessly. Elsewhere, could he still do so?

The more he thought, the thinner the veil obscuring his vision became. Just as he felt ready to tear it away, a powerful divine sense brushed the Cosmic Dimension Model. Startled, he extended his own sense, then rushed out.

A man exuding the weariness of the void stood before him. Lan Xiaobu knew his Cosmic Dimension Model was exposed.

Since acquiring it, only Zhu Sun had known of it. This was the second. The man, clad in brown with a long blade on his back, seemed roughly his equal in cultivation—perhaps weaker. Yet he faced Lan Xiaobu unflinchingly.

“Your hiding world’s nice. Let me see it,” the man said casually, unbothered by Lan Xiaobu’s stronger Dao aura. A Fifth-Turn Saint? He’d slain Ninth-Turn ones.

Lan Xiaobu sighed inwardly. A fight was inevitable. The man had spotted the Cosmic Dimension Model—a treasure of this caliber? He wouldn’t believe it if the man didn’t try to seize it.

Sure enough, without waiting for a reply, a curtain of blade light slashed toward him. A potent Saint domain locked the space, warping the surrounding void.

Lan Xiaobu didn’t bother with words. He summoned the Longevity Halberd, its killing aura ripping through the man’s domain. Feeling his Dao falter, he poured his frustration into this strike.

Though he didn’t use the Seven-Tone Kill, the halberd’s wild momentum seemed to channel all his discontent into its edge.

*Boom!* The blade curtain shattered under the halberd’s light. The brown-robed man felt a void-tearing killing law descend, retreating frantically as his domain surged to block the follow-up waves.

Standing a hundred yards away, shock filled his eyes. Ling Yi had never met a powerhouse of this caliber.

Lan Xiaobu didn’t pursue. He was certain now—his Longevity Dao wasn’t a top-tier Dao. In the Great Desolate Divine Realm, that strike would’ve killed the man.

A Fourth-Turn Saint, and he’d only forced a retreat, cracking the man’s domain while suffering backlash from the blade intent.
