As Zhan Yan led Yangyang away, he didn’t forget to call out to Haitong, also saying to Cheng Qin, “Sister Cheng, Yangyang and I are going to play first.”
Haitong nodded with a smile.
She turned to Cheng Qin and said, “Let’s go over and take a look too.”
She couldn’t play the rides at the children’s playground herself, but she could watch them have fun.
Cheng Qin was happy to join her; she had a playful spirit too.
So, the two of them followed behind Zhan Yan and Yangyang.
“When are you and Young Master Su going to tie the knot?” Haitong asked, glancing at Cheng Qin.
Cheng Qin’s face flushed slightly as she replied, “Su Teng wants it to happen as soon as possible, but I feel I’m still young, so there’s no rush.”
After a brief pause, she added, “I’ll listen to him though. My whole family likes him.”
Haitong laughed, “I’ve heard all about it. Young Master Su made a great impression at your house. Master Su and his wife are easy to talk to as well; they’ve been longing for a daughter-in-law for ages.”
In front of familiar faces, Master Su and his wife were indeed very approachable.
Given the ties between the Zhan and Su families, Master Su and his wife treated Haitong like a niece-in-law, so of course she found them easygoing.
Su Teng’s situation was unique. In his entire life, he’d only ever react to one woman: Cheng Qin. If he wanted to marry and have children, to become a “complete man,” his only option was Cheng Qin.

“Yeah, he wants to get the marriage certificate soon, so we’ll register first. Then we’ll pick a good date for the wedding later,” Cheng Qin replied.
The Su family had already sent betrothal gifts to her family.
When Master Su and his wife visited the Chengs, they’d brought lavish gifts, which the Chengs initially refused.
Once the two young people’s relationship stabilized and both sets of parents approved, the Su family added those earlier gifts to the betrothal package and delivered it all to their in-laws.
They made it clear it was for Cheng Qin. The Chengs thought it was too extravagant but accepted it in the end.
