Sister Chen nodded. “They all support me. After the kids were born, we had a nanny, but I was the one looking after them most of the time. They’re closest to me. When your eldest brother and I divorced, not one of them wanted to go with him.”
“I’m not considering remarriage anyway. The kids are happy to live with me, so I’ll keep them all with me. Your brother can come by occasionally to see them, bond a bit, and give some living expenses—that’s enough.”
Zheng Yifan no longer had any real feelings for his wife. If he did, he wouldn’t have cheated.
But he did care for his children, though he was always out and rarely spent time with them, just giving money, money, money, until the kids saw him as an ATM dad.
“Are you really giving up on the Feng Corporation?”
Sister Chen changed the subject.
“It’s not about whether I want to give it up—it’s about whether it belongs to me. Clearly, it doesn’t. The Feng family doesn’t belong to me either. If it’s not mine, I don’t want to fight for it.”
Sister Chen fell silent for a moment, then sighed and said, “To be honest, deep down, I still hope you’ll take over everything in the Feng family. After all, you’re my children’s real aunt. If you take charge of the Feng clan, they’ll have an easier time in Jiang City in the future.”

“Besides, my mum left each of them some inheritance, enough for them to spend. If they don’t want to invest, they can just keep it in the bank and live off the interest. If they do want to invest, they need to be cautious and not get swindled out of everything.”
“Or they could buy more houses or shops, rent them out, and collect rent. As long as they’re willing to think and act, they won’t starve.”
Feng Qing finally understood the real reason Sister-in-law had come to see her.
She was probably trying to persuade her to take over the Feng family and not let it fall into someone else’s hands.
It was even possible that her eldest brother had asked Sister-in-law to come as a mediator.
Though they were divorced, they still had children together. For the sake of the children’s future, Sister-in-law would set aside personal grudges and come to talk to her, to convince her.
Feng Qing saw through it but didn’t call it out. It didn’t matter who came to persuade her—it wouldn’t work.
What wasn’t hers, she didn’t want!
More importantly, even if she did want it, she couldn’t get it. So why bother fighting to the death with those people from Wan City?
