Ouyang Ya gave a self-deprecating smile, “I know there are always greater heights and better people out there, plenty who surpass me. I couldn’t find anything, probably because you or your family noticed and interfered.”
“Zhan Yuan, I’m feeling quite complicated right now and don’t know what to say. Give me a couple of days to calm down, and we’ll talk face-to-face when I’m back, alright?”
Zhan Yuan replied understandingly, “Of course, it’s my fault to begin with. I’m just grateful you’re not angry, not scolding me, or firing me. I’m already saying my prayers.”
“Are you staying there for a couple of days, Miss?”
Zhan Yuan assumed Ouyang Ya would return home after getting her answers.
Ouyang Ya smiled, “It’s rare to come here. Grandma Zhan is someone I’ve admired for a long time, so I definitely want to spend a couple of days with her. I want to experience for myself if she’s as wonderful as the rumours say.”
“These two days will be like a personal holiday. I’m usually so busy, I need a break too.”
Her younger sisters, now grown, were capable of sharing the family’s burdens with her.
Occasionally, taking a break and giving herself a holiday was perfectly fine.
“My grandma is the best grandma in the world. Spend two days with her, and you’ll come to love her.”

“Finished talking so soon?”
Ouyang Ya handed the phone back to the old lady and said, “Matters of the heart are better discussed in person. Talking over the phone, if things go wrong, both sides might get anxious.”
