Zhan Wei did not know he had been blocked by her again. After waiting a while without a reply, he thought about calling her.
But the call would not go through.
“Blocked me again? She blocks me hundreds of times a day.”
Zhan Wei grumbled.
He gave up trying to contact her, took a few more selfies, then took off the new clothes. Tomorrow, he would have someone dry-clean them before wearing them again.
It was a pity Lan Ruoruo only gave him one set.
She bought so many. Why not give him two? Then he could wear clothes from her every day.

What was he thinking?
Zhan Wei suddenly realised this line of thought was wrong.
He and Lan Ruoruo were arch-rivals.
How could he hope for her to give him several sets to wear every day?
His mind suddenly flashed back to his sister-in-law’s teasing words, asking if he had considered that he might like Lan Ruoruo, or even love her.
He had firmly denied it.
They had been at each other’s throats for years. All he thought about was how to undermine her, how to intercept her deals, how to snatch her business.
She did the same.
They were truly arch-rivals.
He admitted he did not truly dislike Lan Ruoruo, but it was not love, right?
How could he possibly fall in love with her?
If he loved her, he would have spoiled her rotten by now. Once the Zhan men fell for someone, they pampered their beloved to the extreme.
He was not like that with Lan Ruoruo.
“Overthinking it. No way. I couldn’t possibly love Lan Ruoruo. Sister-in-law must be imagining things.”
Zhan Wei muttered to himself.
Yet he could not help recalling the past, details beyond their business rivalries. Indeed, outside of business, he treated Lan Ruo differently. He especially enjoyed provoking her.
He liked seeing her angry. It made her seem so spirited.

If she knew he enjoyed seeing her angry, she might come over in the night to strangle him.
Meanwhile, after blocking Zhan Wei, Lan Ruoruo restarted the engine and drove home.
Soon, she arrived at the Lan family mansion.
It was late at night. The entire mansion was quiet, and the household staff had gone off duty.
The staff worked from six in the morning until ten at night. When the owners were not home, as long as they completed their tasks, they were free.
The lights were still on in the ground-floor hall.
Lan Ruoruo drove into the garage and saw her brother’s car already parked there. No wonder the lights were on downstairs. Her brother had returned home before her.

“Isn’t your car parked in the garage?”
Usually, if they planned to go out again, they would not park in the garage but in the open car park in the yard, or right at the door.
