She had not expected that, right after she finished speaking, Senior Lin would turn around and go straight to Zhan Yue.

Even though he had probed countless times and knew that Zeng Xiaoya truly did not like Doctor Lin, he could not help probing once more.
“I see that your second uncle and second aunt quite like him. You’ve known each other for a long time, so everyone knows each other’s background.”
“I’ve heard that the clinic Doctor Lin opened is doing very well. You both studied medicine, so you have common topics.”
After a moment of silence, Zeng Xiaoya said, “Senior Lin is suitable as a friend, but not as my husband. Our values are different. If we were forced together, we wouldn’t be happy. We would only keep arguing.”
Because their ways of viewing things and dealing with people were not the same.

“Miss He goes to his house almost every day to tidy up and do housework. At the clinic, they have the best rapport. Both publicly and privately, the two of them are far more suitable.”
“My second uncle does quite like Senior Lin. After all, he mentored him for two years, so there’s a bit of master-disciple affection. In medicine, Senior Lin is indeed excellent.”

Zhan Yue laughed. “Big Brother Zeng has good taste.”
Did that mean he had passed the test with his future brother-in-law?
Zeng Xiaoya also laughed. “You are indeed very outstanding. None of the men in the Zhan family are mediocre. Grandma Zhan is too good at raising people. She has brought all of you up to be so exceptional.”
“It’s a pity she didn’t open a school.”
Zhan Yue said, “She did in the past. Later, as she grew older, she felt she no longer had the energy. After my big brother took over the Zhan Group, Grandma gradually sold some of the businesses under her name or handed them over to her daughters-in-law and granddaughters-in-law to manage.”
The old lady had many private businesses.
In the past, when Hai Tong introduced her friend to Sunan, the largest coffee shop they went to belonged to the old lady.
Even grandsons like Zhan Yue were not entirely clear about the full extent of Grandma’s private business empire.
The old lady had said that those businesses were left for her daughters-in-law and granddaughters-in-law to practise with and earn some pocket money. She told her sons and grandsons not to covet them.
