When Zhan Yue got home, he noticed two familiar cars parked in the courtyard. One was his eldest sister-in-law Hai Tong’s, the other belonged to the bodyguards.
His eldest sister-in-law had come over.
He parked his electric scooter, pocketed the keys, and went inside.
“Grandma, Sister-in-law, I’m back.”
Hai Tong was sitting with the old lady, chatting. At the sound of Zhan Yue’s voice, she turned towards the door.
When he came in, she smiled and asked, “Did you deliver the fruit to Doctor Zeng?”
“Yes, I did. She wasn’t off work yet, so I waited at her family clinic until she finished and then came home.”
“Baobao and Beibei didn’t come with you?”
Zhan Yue sat down and asked about the two children.
“Your grandma and I aren’t heading back anytime soon, so we didn’t bring them. Baobao has kindergarten tomorrow. Su Meng is there, and with his two older cousins to play with, Beibei won’t make a fuss.”
When there are playmates around, Beibei does not miss her mother.
“Your eldest brother is already home from work. He’s with the children, so there’s nothing to worry about.”
Zhan Yue gave a small “Oh” and said, “Su Meng is basically living at your house now. It’s not far, yet he still refuses to go home.”
Hai Tong smiled. “Xiaojun is pregnant with their second. His parents don’t have the energy to keep up with him anymore. He gets on so well with Baobao. If he wants to stay at our place, let him. The two children will have each other.”
The two families are very close. She and Shen Xiaojun are best friends and business partners.
Their bond is strong.
Zhan Yin and Su Nan are also the closest of friends. Their parents have long been good friends. The two boys grew up together, their affection runs deep, and they will remain close in the future.

“I’m not ready to confess yet. Xiaoya seems to suspect something, so I didn’t stay long.”
Hai Tong said, “What preparation does a confession need? If you love her, tell her. Let her know you love her.”
“If she turns you down, then that’s that. If she doesn’t, you’ll naturally start dating. After a while, when your feelings have grown deeper, marriage will just happen.”
“When you and my eldest brother got married, you had no feelings for each other at all.”
Zhan Yue said, “Eldest brother and sister-in-law are different. Your love story can’t be copied.”
He had no wish to copy his brother and sister-in-law’s love story.
