Doctor Lin looked at his father, speechless.
Father Lin smiled sheepishly. “I was only saying it like that. What I said earlier still holds. No matter what background your rival has or how outstanding he is, it all depends on Doctor Zeng’s attitude.”
“Don’t focus on the rival. See whether Doctor Zeng likes you or likes him. If she chooses him, then let it go. At least you still have Yuehua.”

Doctor Lin remained silent.
Father Lin knew his son could not accept it. He had quietly loved his junior for years. How could he bear to see her taken by someone else?

The father and son walked back towards the hotel.

The night passed quietly.
The next morning, Hai Tong got up carefully so as not to make noise.
Zhan Yin had already risen. He was not in the room, probably running in the courtyard.
Hai Tong checked the time. It was still very early. She changed into sportswear and went downstairs to join her husband for a run.
Sometimes the couple would even exchange a few moves in the courtyard.

Beibei would not wake so soon. The little girl usually slept until after eight.
