Doctor Lin said self mockingly, “That makes sense. What bad things did Mr Zhan say about me, that I was seeing two women at once, or that I had no money and no power?”
“I never said anything about seeing two women at once. I did not even know about your relationship with Miss He. As for having no money and no power, Doctor Lin cannot be described that way either.”
Zhan Yue said, “Doctor Lin should not build love on money and power. Love is pure.”
“Does Doctor Lin think you lost because of my family background? You are wrong. It was not my family background that defeated you, it was your own issues.”
Doctor Lin said, “Xiaoya has not accepted Mr Zhan yet. Mr Zhan has not even confessed, so how have you defeated me? I have not lost.”
