Heaven Devourer Chapter 103

It’s demonic aura!

Mo Fan instantly recognized the black mist for what it was—it was all too familiar.

He glanced around but saw no trace of a demon, his lips curling slightly upward. “Just a little fish demon, and you dare act tough in front of me?”

As Mo Fan spoke, the surrounding space rippled, like waves in water.

A surprised voice followed, “How did you know?!”

Hearing this, Mo Fan knew he’d guessed right and said, “Before I answer that, can you tell me why you’re haunting Miss Fang?”

“It seems you’ve figured it out. Well, it’s not surprising. We’re both demons, and you’ve been studying at the Fang family’s school for so long. It’s only natural you’d sense my presence.”

The voice echoed from all directions, making Mo Fan frown slightly.

But the next moment, the voice turned furious, a hoarse roar erupting.

“You never should’ve harmed Fang Ru, so you deserve to die!!”

As the voice fell, a ripple appeared above Mo Fan’s head, and a fist shot out, aiming for his skull.

“You’re the one seeking death!”

Mo Fan snorted coldly, throwing a punch upward!

Boom—

A loud crash rang out, water splashing from the ripple above Mo Fan’s head, mixed with a muffled groan.

The guy was hurt!

Mo Fan’s heart stirred. From that punch, he sensed the opponent’s strength—roughly early Demon Ding stage.

At that moment, the street before Mo Fan shattered, transforming into a wasteland.

Looking back, he realized he was no longer in Pingyao Town.

“Splash—”

The sound of water drew his attention.

Turning, he saw a large lake nearby, its waters churning, a towering water column rising from its center, growing higher.

A figure gradually appeared in Mo Fan’s view.

It was a fish-headed humanoid demon, its skin so smooth it gleamed. Dark red scales ran along its sides, spreading upward, not detracting from its muscular build.

The fish demon wore a dark red battle skirt, shimmering in the moonlight.

Its demonic form was tall, over two meters.

“I don’t care what kind of demon you are. If you dared harm Fang Ru, I’ll take your life!”

Standing atop the water column, the fish demon roared menacingly at Mo Fan, waving a hand to form countless water arrows that shot toward him.

“What an unreasonable demon. Let’s see how you take my life!”

Mo Fan sneered, spitting out a golden brick.

Under the surge of demonic aura, the brick grew to the size of a door, shielding Mo Fan.

“Clang, clang, clang…!!”

The water arrows hit the brick, which didn’t budge, producing a series of clanging sounds.

“Hmph, Water Shockwave!”

The fish demon snorted, raising both hands. The lake water surged, forming a spinning water column that, with a point of its finger, crashed toward the golden brick!

Boom—

In an instant, the brick and Mo Fan were blasted back!

“What immense force!”

Mo Fan was inwardly shocked. He hadn’t expected the fish demon’s divine ability to be so fierce, manipulating the lake water to create a ridiculously powerful impact.

“Just a mere artifact? You think I don’t have one?!”

The fish demon’s sneer came from behind, and it spat out an iron spear, thrusting it at Mo Fan!

“So fast!”

Mo Fan’s pupils shrank. With a thought, the golden brick whipped around his body, blocking the attack.

“Ding!”

A sharp ring sounded. The brick trembled slightly but was unharmed, while the fish demon’s iron spear snapped in two, its tip flying off.

“What?!”

Now it was the fish demon’s turn to be shocked. It hadn’t expected the brick to be so sturdy, breaking its spear.

“You shouldn’t get distracted in a fight!”

Mo Fan’s voice rang out. In a flash, he appeared before the fish demon, smashing it into the ground with a punch, creating a humanoid crater.

“Damn it…”

The fish demon roared, trying to rise, but its face turned to horror as it saw Mo Fan swinging the massive golden brick down!

Boom!

A tremendous crash shook the earth.

The surrounding dense demonic aura began to dissipate.

With a thought, Mo Fan shrank the door-sized brick back to palm-size, and it flew into his hand.

He walked to the crater, where the fish demon lay bloodied, completely incapacitated.

“If I’m not mistaken, you’re the carp Fang Ru raised, right?”

“You keep saying I harmed Fang Ru, but you don’t realize you’re the one hurting her most!”

Mo Fan sneered, pulling the fish demon from the crater. Looking at its shattered scales, he said calmly, “For Fang Ru’s sake, I can spare your life!”

“But while you may escape death, you can’t avoid punishment. I’ll give you a choice, how about that?”

“Cough, cough… what do you mean?”

The fish demon coughed violently, looking at Mo Fan weakly.

Its heart began to fear this guy.

That last strike had shattered its divine ability—terrifying beyond measure!

“Option one: leave Pingyao Town with me and serve me as your master.”

“Option two: become my meal, aiding my cultivation. How’s that?”

Mo Fan grinned, revealing sharp teeth, making the fish demon swallow hard.

“You just said you’d spare my life…” The fish demon gritted its teeth, its eyes filled with resentment.

“Did I? Well, I changed my mind. Is that a problem?!”

“You…!!”

Seeing Mo Fan’s cheeky grin, the fish demon coughed up blood again, enraged. It had never met such a shameless demon!

“We’re not far from Pingyao Town. Our fight likely alerted the two old guys in town, and maybe even demon hunters or cultivators.

“In your current state, you can’t hide your aura. If you’re caught, you know the consequences.

“Besides, if you stay with the Fang family, you’ll only harm Fang Ru!”

Mo Fan spoke calmly, in no rush.

He hadn’t killed the demon for two reasons: he valued its potential, and its actions were for Fang Ru’s sake.

Fang Ru had taught him human writing over the past month. Though it was a monetary transaction, the kindness was real.

Out of sentiment, Mo Fan couldn’t bring himself to kill the fish demon.

But most importantly, Mo Fan had ambitions!

He wanted to build his own demon crew!

Though Black Wind Mountain seemed calm for now, he was still under others’ roofs. If something bad happened later, he’d be alone.

Could he rely on Black Wind Mountain’s small demons?

“What did you say?”

“I’d harm Fang Ru?”

“What do you mean? Explain!”

The fish demon gritted its teeth, glaring at Mo Fan angrily.

Mo Fan sighed, “Do you know why Fang Ru suddenly fell ill?”

“Because of qi and blood deficiency!”

“Do you know why she has qi and blood deficiency?”

The fish demon fell silent.

“Because of you!”

“You’re a demon, and if I’m not mistaken, you’ve been lying beside her every night while she slept, right?” Mo Fan looked at the fish demon.

“I… I didn’t!”

The fish demon gritted its teeth, but its tone was full of panic.

“No need to deny it. I only said you shared her bed, not that you defiled her. If you had, you wouldn’t even have the chance to talk to me.”

Mo Fan sneered, then continued, “There’s a saying: ‘Humans and demons walk different paths.’ You’re a demon, carrying demonic aura, refined from moonlight, a yin energy. Over time, your demonic aura eroded Fang Ru’s body, causing her qi and blood deficiency, worsening her health.

“This past month, you sensed my presence and didn’t dare show yourself, so you stopped haunting her. That’s why her health improved, and she can even walk now.

“Do you understand?”

“This… I… how could this be…”

The fish demon slumped to the ground, its gaze dazed.
