Heaven Devourer Chapter 111

This time, Qin Changsheng hadn’t pursued him for quite a while, and Mo Fan felt a slight sense of relief.

Looking at the familiar terrain ahead, an inexplicable sense of security welled up in his heart.

Because passing through the dense forest ahead would lead into the territory of Black Wind Mountain, where he would no longer fear Qin Changsheng, and might even report the man’s whereabouts to the Black Wind Mountain Demon King for a counterattack!

But just as he was about to escape the forest, a familiar figure came sprinting towards him.

Staring at the fellow with a big fish head, Mo Fan felt an ominous premonition and asked, “Why the hell have you come back?”

“I didn’t want to, but halfway I ran into a tough guy who insisted on asking where you were.”

The fish demon, Big Head, said with a bitter expression, “So I had no choice but to bring him here.”

A tough guy?

Insisting on knowing his whereabouts?

Mo Fan’s brows furrowed slightly, and a figure quickly flashed in his mind, his heart sinking with a jolt.

He seemed to already know who it was.

“Where’s that guy?” Mo Fan asked through gritted teeth.

Big Head didn’t answer, instead giving a smile uglier than a grimace, his face slightly stiff as he said, “He’s here, and… right behind you…”

“What?!”

At those words, Mo Fan’s hair stood on end, his demonic aura surging, only to feel a chilling coldness behind him, along with hot breath on the back of his neck.

“Little toad, are you planning to fight this general to the death?”

A voice without the slightest fluctuation rang in Mo Fan’s ears, making his heart leap into his throat.

He didn’t dare move an inch, his body stiffening as he forced a bitter smile, “How… how could I dare?”

“Even with a hundred times the courage, I wouldn’t dare cross you, Fourth General…”

“Hmph! Good that you know!”

Hearing that somewhat familiar voice, Mo Fan was truly on the verge of tears.

He hadn’t expected to run into the Fourth General, Venom Fang, at a time like this. Was fate trying to finish him off?

With Qin Changsheng, that scholar who loved to “reason,” chasing him from behind, and now Venom Fang, who was hell-bent on killing him…

“Damn it, how can my luck be this rotten!”

Mo Fan felt a pang of frustration, took a deep breath, and turned around, only to see a blood-red-robed, somewhat refined-looking man standing a few yards away.

The man had a pair of vertical, triangular pupils, staring at Mo Fan like a venomous snake, sending a shiver through his soul.

This was none other than Black Wind Mountain’s Fourth General, Venom Fang!

“Fourth General, long time no see. Didn’t expect you’d be out for a stroll this late…” Mo Fan greeted awkwardly.

“A stroll?”

Venom Fang raised an eyebrow, then said coldly, “This general has been waiting for you at the foot of the mountain for half a month!”

“…”

Mo Fan’s heart raced with panic, unsure of what to say, managing only a sheepish grin.

“No more nonsense, hand over the item, and this general will ensure you die intact!”

Venom Fang spoke calmly, yet it made Mo Fan’s body tense.

“Don’t pretend you don’t know. Before coming here, I already questioned your underlings. That scorpion demon was killed by you, so its treasure must be in your hands.”

Just as Mo Fan was about to feign ignorance, Venom Fang’s words hit him like a bolt, chilling his heart to the core.

Damn it, one of my demons betrayed me?!

Mo Fan was furious inside but didn’t dare show it. After a brief silence, he looked up at Venom Fang with a faint smile, “Fourth General, are you really not going to give me a way out?”

“That item is of utmost importance. If I weren’t uncertain whether you actually have it, you’d already be a corpse!”

Venom Fang sneered, then added, “Not eating you is already the greatest mercy!”

“Heh… greatest mercy?!”

Mo Fan laughed, his anger surging as his gaze turned icy, staring at Venom Fang, “Fourth General!”

“Hm?”

Venom Fang’s brows furrowed as he looked at Mo Fan.

Divine Ability, Charm Eye!

In an instant, Venom Fang’s gaze grew dazed.

“To hell with your mercy!”

Mo Fan slammed a golden brick onto Venom Fang’s head, the immense force knocking him to the ground. In the same moment, he unleashed a flying sword, aiming for his skull!

“You! Must! Die!!”

Venom Fang snapped back, dodging the sword with a tilt of his head. He sprang up, demonic aura swirling, his killing intent terrifying.

“Damn, missed!”

Seeing this, Mo Fan turned and fled!

Boom!

The next moment, a tremendous force surged towards him.

In a panic, he spat out a talisman, activating it in an instant!

Buzz—

A Diamond Talisman attached to Mo Fan’s body, a golden ripple spreading over him, turning him into a golden figure.

Boom!

The massive force struck, and Venom Fang’s palm slammed Mo Fan into the ground, leaving a colossal handprint.

Venom Fang landed, his expression ferocious, blood still trickling from his head. Big Head, watching from a distance, didn’t dare breathe, though he continued to inch backwards, trying to escape.

He’d been quietly retreating, hoping to slip away.

“Hm?”

Sensing something, Venom Fang stomped the ground!

Rumble—

The earth shook, cracks spreading, revealing a large pit.

But Mo Fan was gone from the pit, leaving only a tunnel stretching towards Black Wind Mountain.

“Naive!”

Venom Fang snorted, extending his right hand, which turned into a snake’s head, his arm elongating into the tunnel, quickly finding Mo Fan, who was using his flying sword to dig.

That same sword, which had missed Venom Fang earlier, was now churning the earth to create a passage, leading to this moment.

Sensing something, Mo Fan turned, only to see a massive snake head lunging, its jaws snapping at him.

“Boom!”

The ground exploded as Mo Fan was hurled out by a thick, blood-red python, barely blocking its gaping maw with his flying sword to avoid being swallowed.

Only then did he realise the python was Venom Fang’s transformed right hand!

At that moment, Mo Fan spotted a figure behind Venom Fang, his eyes lighting up as he shouted, “Fourth General, that’s the guy chasing me, a cultivator from Great River Academy!”

As if confirming Mo Fan’s words, a faint voice sounded from behind Venom Fang, “Friend, where do you think you’re going?”

“You’ve caused me quite the trouble today, you can’t just leave like that!”

Looking at the figure flying on a bamboo slip, tattered and hair dishevelled, Mo Fan felt a chill, shouting to Venom Fang, “Fourth General, save me!”

“We can talk about the item later, just kill this human cultivator first!”

Mo Fan’s words made Venom Fang’s brows furrow. He turned to face the figure behind him, his vertical pupils narrowing!

“A demon general?”

“Perfect, subduing you both might just push me into the top five of the Prodigy List!”

Qin Changsheng’s eyes gleamed, showing no fear. He pointed at Venom Fang, softly uttering, “Kill!”

Instantly, several bamboo strips shot from the slip beneath his feet, turning into streaks of light aimed at Venom Fang.

“Hmph!”

Venom Fang snorted, his face calm, spitting out a blood-red spear to meet Qin Changsheng.

“Thank you, Fourth General, for saving me! I’ll go get reinforcements for you!”

Seeing the two fighting, Mo Fan turned and fled!

“Get back here!!”

Qin Changsheng and Venom Fang shouted in unison, then glanced at each other, their battle intensifying.
