To cultivate the *Ten Thousand Poisons Body*, aside from various poisonous materials, the most crucial element was the container for holding the medicinal liquid.
This container had to withstand the corrosive nature of the poisons and endure the heat of flames.
Mo Fan initially considered using his own fired clay pot as the bath vessel, but after some thought, he deemed it unreliable.
Poisonous materials were hard to come by, and if the pot broke, the loss would be significant.
After pondering, Mo Fan left his cave mansion and headed to the former cave of the scorpion demon Heizi.
Since Heizi had cultivated the *Ten Thousand Poisons Body*, he must have had a suitable container.
When Mo Fan arrived at the scorpion demon’s cave, he found Spider Demon Old Eight and Beetle Demon Old Six locked in a scuffle.
Perhaps too engrossed in their fight, they didn’t notice Mo Fan’s arrival.
“You damned Old Six, I treated you so well, and you dare steal my chicken leg? Are you even a demon?!”
“Pah! How am I not a demon? It’s just a chicken leg, is it worth falling out over?!”
“Is it about a chicken leg?”
“It’s about trust!”
“You’ve betrayed my trust!”
“Pah! You dare talk about trust? Who was the first to distance himself from Old Three in front of Master Laibao?!”
“That’s different! Old Three, that guy… ah! M-Master!!”
Mid-sentence, Old Eight finally noticed Mo Fan, trembling in fright and immediately releasing Old Six’s ear.
“Ow!”
But as soon as he let go, Old Six doubled down, twisting Old Eight’s ear several times, causing him to scream in pain, tears streaming down.
“Heh, weren’t you all high and mighty just now? Let’s see who’s tougher!” Old Six grinned, relishing Old Eight’s wails.
“Damn it, let go, the Master’s here!!” Old Eight snapped angrily.
“The Master? Heh, you trying to trick me?”
“Forget Laibao not being here, even if he was, what’s it to me? Am I, Old Six, supposed to be scared?!”
Old Six sneered, his words devoid of any respect.
“Oh?”
“Quite the bold one, aren’t you?”
Mo Fan could no longer hold back. To him, their brawl was embarrassingly sloppy, like two shrews squabbling…
More importantly, he hadn’t done anything to deserve being dragged into this!
So he spoke up.
His sudden words made Old Six freeze, his face turning grim.
He hadn’t expected Old Eight to be telling the truth!
“M-Master, I didn’t know you were here…”
Old Six turned, forcing a smile uglier than a grimace.
“Not knowing excuses disrespect?”
Mo Fan’s face was expressionless as he continued, “According to Grandpa King’s mountain rules, no lesser demon may speak ill of a captain. Violators face the punishment of skinning!”
At these words, Old Six’s face went pale, and he dropped to his knees with a thud, begging, “Master, spare me! Spare me!!”
Though skinning wouldn’t kill a demon, the pain was excruciating, no different from dying once, making it a nightmare for many.
Old Eight, standing nearby, was also too scared to breathe.
“Fine, considering you once carried me, I’ll spare you the skinning. But disrespect cannot go unpunished, or soon every demon will talk behind my back,” Mo Fan said calmly, then, with a glint in his eye, added, “You’ll compete in the next Spicy Sun Contest!”
Hearing this, Old Six breathed a sigh of relief, kowtowing, “Thank you, Master, for your mercy!”
While the Spicy Sun Contest wasn’t pleasant, it was far better than skinning, and Old Six knew the difference.
More importantly, Old Six had rotten luck, getting picked for the Spicy Sun Contest seven out of ten times.
So, for such a “technical” task, he was used to it and didn’t resist like other demons.
“By the way, if I recall correctly, this is Heizi’s cave. Why are you two here?” Mo Fan asked, eyeing them suspiciously.
“Master, since Captain Heizi died, this cave was abandoned. We figured, rather than let it sit empty, we’d move in. It’s much better than our own caves,” Old Eight replied cautiously, quickly adding, “Of course, if Master wants to live here, we’ll move out immediately!”
“No need, just asking casually.”
Mo Fan waved a hand. After killing the scorpion demon, he’d visited this cave once before and found nothing noteworthy. This time, he was here to thoroughly investigate.
“By the way, I’m going inside to take a look. Are you fine with that?” Mo Fan asked.
“Of course, Master can go in anytime!” the two demons nodded eagerly.
“Good, then guard the entrance for me!”
With that, Mo Fan entered the scorpion cave.
The interior was laid out in a human-like style, more spacious than other lesser demons’ caves, but Mo Fan took it all in at a glance.
The place was so clean it looked like it had been licked by a dog, making Mo Fan frown slightly.
Undeterred, he released his demonic aura, instantly filling the entire cave.
Closing his eyes, Mo Fan carefully sensed everything his aura touched, then opened them abruptly!
“Found it!”
A glint flashed in his eyes as he strode to a stone wall where his demonic aura was seeping inside, indicating a hidden space behind it!
With a punch, a loud “boom” echoed, and the entire wall shattered.
Outside, the two demons heard the noise, assuming their Master was tearing down their cave, but they dared not protest.
Inside, after breaking the wall, Mo Fan discovered a hidden chamber with a massive bronze cauldron in the centre.
The cauldron, bronze in colour with four legs, was blackened at the base from flames.
Approaching it, Mo Fan caught a whiff of an unpleasant, not quite foul but pungent smell.
Frowning, he peered inside, seeing a pitted, heavily corroded interior.
Placing a hand on the cauldron, he sensed it wasn’t a magical artifact, just an ordinary bronze cauldron, no wonder it couldn’t withstand the poisons’ corrosion.
Mo Fan tapped the cauldron, estimating it could handle two or three more uses before needing replacement.
He searched the rest of the room but found nothing else, so he opened his mouth and stored the massive cauldron.
When Mo Fan left, the two demons rushed inside and were dumbfounded.
“Old Eight, am I seeing this right? Did Master just expand our cave for us?”
