Watching Mo Fan pour dozens of poisons into the bronze cauldron, Bai Yaoyao’s eyes widened in shock.
She couldn’t quite grasp what kind of spiritual body Mo Fan was trying to cultivate, using so many poisons. Wasn’t he afraid of poisoning himself to death?
Poisons alone weren’t enough; Mo Fan tossed in some low-grade spiritual herbs, then spat out a large amount of spring water, collected earlier from the Spring Pool, filling the cauldron halfway in moments.
After finishing this, Mo Fan stripped off his clothes and entered the cauldron naked.
He paid no mind to Bai Yaoyao’s presence, and she felt no embarrassment.
As demons, such minor scenes were nothing unusual; they’d seen it all since their beastly days.
Once Mo Fan settled cross-legged in the bronze cauldron, he said solemnly, “I’m counting on you next!”
“Don’t worry, I’ll control the fire as per your instructions. Just make sure you don’t poison yourself to death.”
Bai Yaoyao blinked, then cast a spell with both hands, pointing at the cauldron’s base. Instantly, a wisp of flame shot out, steadily burning beneath it.
Soon, the medicinal broth in the cauldron heated up, and Mo Fan felt a wave of comfort, as if every pore in his body had opened.
But soon after, he let out a muffled groan.
Pain!
It was excruciating!!
The endless poisons turned into vapour, seeping into his body through his open pores and seven orifices.
The sensation made Mo Fan feel worse than death. First came searing pain, then a feeling like being plunged into a volcano, his body turning bright red, with heat waves visibly rising from his skin. He wanted to thrash in agony but gritted his teeth and endured.
Shortly after the heat subsided, a chilling cold surged into his body. Despite the boiling broth, Mo Fan felt like he’d fallen into an icy abyss, shivering uncontrollably…
Outside the cauldron, Bai Yaoyao controlled the fire while observing Mo Fan’s changes with her demonic aura.
She had already applied a protective talisman to shield herself from the poisonous vapours.
As time passed, Bai Yaoyao was shocked to see Mo Fan’s skin shift between red, green, blue, and black, looking deeply poisoned.
Not only Mo Fan, but the cauldron itself seemed to struggle, emitting a “hiss” of corrosion, as if the potent poisons might melt it at any moment.
After what felt like an eternity, Mo Fan felt as though he’d died countless times.
His skin had been corroded beyond recognition, and to avoid truly succumbing to the poison, he swallowed several low-grade spiritual herbs. Following the bath’s formula, he circulated the poisons, guiding them to converge above his dantian, gradually forming a new cyclone.
A poison cyclone!
Finally, Mo Fan felt no more pain. Looking down, he saw the once mottled broth had become much clearer. Gritting his teeth, he submerged his entire body in it.
“Boom!”
After the time it takes an incense stick to burn, a loud explosion came from the cauldron, broth splashing as a figure shot out.
Landing, Mo Fan took a deep breath, circulating his demonic aura to adapt to his new body. His multicoloured skin visibly returned to normal, though the tattered surface looked ghastly.
Despite lingering pain, Mo Fan didn’t care, instead bursting into hearty laughter.
The first stage of the *Ten Thousand Poisons Body* was finally achieved!
“You cultivated the spiritual body?” Bai Yaoyao asked, walking over curiously after stopping her spell.
“Not quite, just one-ninth of it,” Mo Fan said with a wry smile, shaking his head.
“Then why are you laughing so loudly…” Bai Yaoyao rolled her eyes, circling him and clicking her tongue, “Didn’t expect you to have some assets. What spiritual body are you cultivating? I didn’t notice you being *that* impressive before.”
“Huh?”
Mo Fan froze, then looked down, indeed noticing a slight enhancement.
“Ahem…”
He hadn’t felt self-conscious before, but with Bai Yaoyao staring, he grew awkward, coughing twice. Grabbing his clothes from the ground, he slowly dressed in front of her.
“Tch! We’re both demons, what’s there to be shy about?”
“I’ve seen bigger!” Bai Yaoyao scoffed, unbothered.
Mo Fan rolled his eyes. Looking at her stunning face, he lost any sense of admiration.
He doubted anyone would believe such a beautiful woman could say something like that.
After a pause, he said, “The spiritual body I just cultivated is called the *Ten Thousand Poisons Spiritual Body*. That’s why I was ambushed by a demon general last time.”
“*Ten Thousand Poisons Spiritual Body*… Just the name sounds terrifying. No wonder it’s so hard to cultivate,” Bai Yaoyao shook her head. “You’ve got some serious willpower. Most wouldn’t endure it. This body isn’t something just anyone can handle!”
“You’re not tempted?”
“It’s a spiritual body, after all!” Mo Fan looked at her, a glint in his eyes.
“Forget it! It looks terrifying to cultivate, I’m not touching it!”
“And so what if it’s a spiritual body? I’m…” Bai Yaoyao trailed off, stopping herself.
“What are you? Don’t tell me you’ve got some immortal body,” Mo Fan sneered, curious about what she’d almost said.
Bai Yaoyao didn’t answer immediately, frowning in silence before sighing, “Fine, no harm telling you. You’re my master now, and if that senior’s prediction is right, you’d find out eventually.”
“I don’t have an immortal body, but I have a bloodline comparable to one. I’m the direct descendant of a Demon Saint!” she declared proudly.
“What’s a Demon Saint’s descendant?” Mo Fan asked, frowning.
“You… how do you not know this?!”
Bai Yaoyao was exasperated, then huffed, “A Demon Saint’s descendant is the child of a Demon Saint. My mother was the great Demon Saint known as White Saint!”
“So that’s why that Young Master Su targeted you?” Mo Fan asked.
“Can you stop bringing up sore spots?!”
“…”
Mo Fan was speechless but didn’t press further, knowing the topic was sensitive for her. After a moment, he asked, “Who’s this senior you mentioned?”
“This…” Bai Yaoyao hesitated again, then said, “Well, since that senior never said I couldn’t reveal his identity, I’ll tell you.”
“He’s the White Tiger Saint King, one of the nine great Saint Kings of the Hundred Thousand Mountains’ demon clans!”
