In an instant, thumb-thick spider silk crisscrossed in the air, immediately covering the rabbit demon Red Eyes from head to toe.
The sticky nature of the milky-white spider silk became apparent, restricting Red Eyes’ movements almost instantly.
“Damn it!”
Red Eyes cursed in frustration, raising his hand to slash at the silk stuck to him. But before his claw-knife could get close, more silk sprayed out, binding his raised right hand as well.
“Jumpy Rabbit!”
Nearby, the sparrow demon Chirpy was startled. However, his small size and speed kept him out of the silk’s reach for the moment.
“I’ll save you!”
Chirpy shouted, demonic energy surging as he transformed into a black shadow, darting to Red Eyes’ head. Flapping his wings, he unleashed a fierce gust, blowing the incoming spider silk away, preventing it from getting close.
“Thanks!”
Red Eyes took a deep breath, demonic energy vibrating as he broke free from the silk on his hand and slashed through the rest binding his body.
Buzz!
But at that moment, the small demons sprayed more silk, weaving a large net in the air that enveloped the two demons.
“Get lost!”
Chirpy growled, his supernatural ability flowing. With a flap of his wings, a hurricane formed, blowing the giant web back toward its senders.
“Ah…!!”
The demons’ screams rose one after another as they were ensnared by their own web.
“Go!”
Chirpy called out, swooping down to grab Red Eyes by the collar, lifting him into the air and flying off.
He wasn’t foolish. He could see these demons were strong. If they kept fighting, they’d likely end up as someone’s meal.
After all, the seven demon soldiers hadn’t even made a move yet, and they looked extremely tough.
As the two demons were about to escape, one of the spider demons opened its mouth, spitting out a shimmering silver net that chased them into the sky.
The silver net expanded in the wind, growing enormous in an instant, descending toward Chirpy and Red Eyes!
“Break it!!”
Red Eyes roared, pushing his demonic energy to its limit. He slashed out several times, but only sparks flew from the silver web—it wouldn’t break.
“What a tough net!”
Red Eyes was shocked. Above him, Chirpy unleashed his supernatural ability again, flapping his wings to create a hurricane, trying to repeat the earlier feat.
But this time, he miscalculated. The giant net didn’t budge. Worse, another spider demon had somehow circled behind them, releasing another silver web.
“Bad news!”
The two demons’ hearts sank. They tried to flee, but it was too late—the web enveloped them completely!
“Get down here!”
The spider demon sneered, using demonic magic to drag the two from the sky.
Bang! Bang!
In an instant, the two demons crashed hard into the ground.
“Damn it! You dare tie up your Rabbit Grandpa? Hurry up and let me go!!”
Red Eyes cursed loudly, his demonic energy surging, but he couldn’t break the silver net.
“You bunch of trash, do you know who your Grandpa Chirpy is?”
“I’ll tell you, I’m from Black Wind Mountain…”
Slap!
Before Chirpy could finish his rant, the spider king strode forward and delivered a crisp slap.
The slap was loud and sharp!
“Damn you! You dare hit your Grandpa Chirpy?”
“Stupid spider, let me out and fight me one-on-one if you’ve got the guts! If you don’t, you’re my grandson!!”
Chirpy was furious, glaring with wide eyes at the spider demon, a cold glint quietly gathering behind him.
Slap!
Another resounding slap landed on Chirpy’s face, the force knocking his small head to the side.
“Little sparrow, you’re a prisoner, yet you’re still mouthing off? Believe me, I’ll bite your bird head off!”
The spider demon glared menacingly at Chirpy, snarling viciously.
Whoosh!
At that moment, a cold light shot out from behind Chirpy, piercing through the gaps in the net, aiming straight for the spider demon’s forehead!
“Watch out!”
“Second Brother!!”
The six demon soldiers behind gasped in shock, moving to help, but the cold light had already pierced through the spider demon’s head, spraying a mist of blood!
“Hahaha…!”
In the net, Chirpy laughed heartily as the spider demon collapsed dead.
“Grandpa Chirpy, nicely done!”
Red Eyes also burst into laughter.
“Damn it, we’re the trusted demon soldiers of General Lai Bao from Black Wind Mountain!
How could we let these bastards humiliate us?!” Chirpy sneered coldly.
“Dead sparrow, you’re courting death!!”
Another spider demon’s eyes bulged with rage, trembling with anger. Pointing at Chirpy, it roared: “Supernatural ability, Ten Thousand Poison Spider Gu!”
“You dared kill my brother? I’ll make you wish for death!!”
It opened its mouth, spewing a mass of poisonous mist that visibly transformed into countless tiny spiders, hundreds or thousands of them, surging toward the net!
“Hahaha…!”
“Pulling one down with me before I die—your Grandpa Chirpy’s worth it!”
Facing the swarm of spider gu, Chirpy’s scalp tingled, but he remained defiant.
In his view, if he was going to die either way, he’d die with some backbone.
“Grandpa Chirpy’s not afraid. Your Rabbit Grandpa’s with you!”
Red Eyes sneered coldly, glaring at the demons ahead, gritting his teeth: “You bastards, our master won’t let you off!”
“Master?”
“Don’t worry, this is the Hundred Thousand Mountains. You small demons from the outer demon mountains dare cause trouble here?!”
The snake-headed demon sneered, its scarlet tongue licking its eyeball, looking eerie.
“Oh, is that so?”
“You wild demons don’t represent the Hundred Thousand Mountains.”
A sudden voice startled the snake-headed demon, putting the other demon soldiers on high alert while filling the two trapped demons with joy.
“It’s Master!”
“Master’s voice!!”
“Master’s here to save us!!”
Red Eyes snapped back first, shouting excitedly, ignoring the spider gu now just a few feet away.
To him, Master’s arrival meant absolute safety.
“I knew it! Master’s so awesome, there’s no way he’d die!!”
Chirpy looked up, spotting that familiar, faintly visible figure in a patch of black clouds.
Who else could it be but Master Lai Bao?
Mo Fan smiled at the two demons, then waved his hand. Demonic energy surged, forming a beam of dark light that poured down from the sky.
In an instant, it scattered the spider gu nearing the silver web, preventing them from reaching the two demons.
“Hey! What demon general are you? State your name!”
From behind, the elephant-headed demon let out a low shout, stepping forward. A powerful pressure erupted, demonic energy rolling, cracking the ground beneath.
“This general, Lai Bao!”
Mo Fan landed lightly, standing between the spider demon and the two trapped demons. Ignoring the elephant-headed demon, he asked the wary spider demon: “You have a supernatural ability?”
“What’s it to you? We’re…”
The spider demon was on guard, but before it could finish, Mo Fan swallowed it whole.
Feeling the demonic energy and supernatural ability feeding back into him, Mo Fan showed a satisfied smile and said lightly: “Sorry, I’m not interested in your origins!”
With that, he looked up at the remaining five demons, a friendly smile on his face. “Any of you still have supernatural abilities?”
“Those with abilities live; those without, die!”
