Heaven Devourer Chapter 214

Bai Yaoyao’s change in attitude filled Mo Fan with pleasant surprise, but he didn’t let it go to his head. He immediately helped her up, saying solemnly, “Rest assured, as long as you don’t betray me, this king will never betray you. I won’t let Senior White Tiger Saint King down either.”

“I’ll strive to fulfill the promises I made to you.”

“I hope you’ll work with me to build up Blackwind Mountain and strive for the rise of our demon clan.”

“Mm.”

Bai Yaoyao nodded, feeling after Mo Fan’s words that her decision to follow him wasn’t wrong.

At least for now, this toad demon seemed worthy of her allegiance.

He was shrouded in mystery. Though his cultivation wasn’t high, he had grand ambitions and caught the attention of demon clan giants.

Mo Fan didn’t linger on pleasantries with Bai Yaoyao and led her and Big Head out of the cave.

With the wild boar demon dead, there was no need to keep Bai Yaoyao hidden.

As for the pursuit from Three Saints Island, Mo Fan didn’t believe the Su family would be foolish enough to send cultivators here at this critical time.

Since the White Tiger Saint King’s battle with a human, the Hundred Thousand Mountains had become a forbidden zone for human powerhouses. Who would dare come now?

In Mo Fan’s view, whether the White Tiger Saint King was present or not, true human powerhouses wouldn’t dare venture into the Hundred Thousand Mountains lightly.

Small-time cultivators were no concern; the great demons ignored them, leaving lesser demons to handle. But if notable human experts came, the great demons wouldn’t let them leave alive.

The White Tiger Saint King fought for the entire demon clan, upholding their dignity and backbone. The demon clan wouldn’t let humans disgrace him.

The other eight Saint Kings were surely simmering with anger.

Who would dare ignite the powder keg that was the Hundred Thousand Mountains at this moment?

Given these dynamics, Mo Fan felt it was time for Bai Yaoyao to appear before the demons, making it easier for him to manage affairs.

As the three demons exited the cave, two others approached, freezing in place upon seeing them.

Er Ha looked utterly smitten, stunned by Bai Yaoyao’s beauty.

Bai Xue, slightly dazed, stared at Bai Yaoyao for a while before her stiff expression softened. Her eyes shifted to Mo Fan, “Great… Great King, who is this demoness? She’s so beautiful. How come I’ve never seen or heard of her before?”

Bai Yaoyao glanced at Bai Xue with a faint, ambiguous smile but said nothing.

“Don’t misunderstand. Yaoyao isn’t my demoness.”

Mo Fan quickly waved his hands. He’d just earned Bai Yaoyao’s trust; he couldn’t let Bai Xue’s words ruin it. That would be a loss.

“Oh? Not your demoness?”

Bai Xue’s eyes lit up, her spirits visibly lifting.

“Let me introduce. This is Bai Yaoyao. And this fellow is Big Head…”

Mo Fan introduced the four demons before leading them to another peak.

This peak, once used by great demons to execute lesser ones with punishments like skinning or tendon-stripping, was called Punishment Peak.

Now, Mo Fan had assigned it to the hunting camp for rearing prey.

But with Blackwind Mountain critically short of lesser demons, the hunting camp hadn’t been properly established. Only two lesser demons guarded the peak, and the beasts there were casually brought back by the Zhu brothers.

Mo Fan’s visit wasn’t to pick food but to enlighten some beasts, granting them the chance to become demons.

“Greetings, Great King!”

As Mo Fan and the four demons landed, a one-eyed old demon and a lame old demon came forward to pay respects.

Mo Fan glanced at them, noting they were a musk demon and a donkey demon, low in cultivation but already elderly.

He suspected that without his prior blessings, they might not have survived this long.

“Sigh. To grow strong, there’s still a long way to go.”

Mo Fan sighed inwardly, realizing Blackwind Mountain’s greatest need was manpower.

He couldn’t rely on these thirty-odd weak, old, or crippled lesser demons to restore the demon clan’s order, could he?

“I heard Zhu Wu brought back three highly intelligent beasts. Where are they kept? Lead the way,” Mo Fan stated his purpose.

“Indeed, Great King. Please follow us.”

The two demons nodded and led the way, though they couldn’t help stealing glances at the two beautiful demonesses.

“Keep staring, and I’ll dig out your eyes!” Big Head growled.

“Dig them out and make you eat them!” Er Ha added menacingly.

Under their coordinated threats, the two lesser demons trembled, instantly behaving.

Mo Fan and the others shook their heads helplessly but said nothing.

Soon, they saw the three caged beasts.

The beasts, unafraid, stared intently at Mo Fan’s group.

“Hey! You three little beasts, seeing our Great King and not kowtowing?” the one-eyed musk demon scolded.

The three beasts knelt, kowtowing to Mo Fan’s group with loud thuds.

“They really understand?” Big Head was surprised.

“Among countless wild beasts, some possess intelligence, and those are the most qualified to become demons,” Bai Yaoyao, knowledgeable, explained calmly.

Mo Fan ignored them, addressing the beasts, “I am the current Great King of Blackwind Mountain, here to grant you the chance to become demons. Once transformed, you’ll belong to Blackwind Mountain, following my orders without fail. Understood?”

The three beasts nodded eagerly, eyes gleaming with excitement.

Mo Fan wasted no time. His inner spirit liquid lake surged, and he exhaled a vast cloud of spiritual energy, enveloping the beasts. Soon, joyful roars echoed from within.

The demons waited patiently. The two old demons looked envious; their cultivation paths had ended, with no hope of progress, making them jealous of the beasts’ opportunity.

When the spiritual energy dissipated, the three beasts emerged, now with human heads.

Mo Fan smiled, amazed that his spirit liquid lake could transform beasts with just a fraction of its energy.

He’d once asked Bai Yaoyao and other demon cultivators about the spirit liquid lake, only to learn he was unique. Other demons had at most a qi gathering point, while humans had spiritual energy gathering points.

Mo Fan attributed it to his Heaven-Devouring Divine Ability.

“Greetings, Great King!”

“Thank you for your enlightenment!”

The three new lesser demons knelt, kowtowing to Mo Fan.

This time, their gratitude was genuine. Without Mo Fan, they’d likely have lived hiding from predators, passing their days in ignorance.

“Great King! Great news!”

A familiar voice rang out.

Turning, Mo Fan saw palm-sized Zha Zha land on his shoulder.

“What’s got you so excited?”

“Great King, great news!”

“Dali and Pig Master are back!”
