A loud crash echoed as Mo Fan’s entire body smashed into the attic.
He shook his dizzy head, demonic energy surging, instantly blasting away the rubble pressing down on him.
“Damn it, I got careless!”
Mo Fan cursed inwardly, immediately standing upright.
At this moment, clad in mountain-like armour, he appeared slightly dishevelled but uninjured.
He hadn’t expected Poison Fang’s strength to be so terrifying after transforming into his true form.
“Who dares trespass into the City Lord’s mansion?!”
A shout suddenly rang out nearby. A man in half-armour, wielding a sword, rushed in with a group of guards.
“Bold thief, surrender at once!”
Seeing Mo Fan staring blankly at them, the man assumed he was intimidated by their presence.
“Didn’t you see what’s happening outside?”
Mo Fan looked at the guards with a strange expression, given the commotion outside was hardly subtle.
“What nonsense, all of you, seize this thief and bring him to the City Lord!”
“Yes!!”
At the man’s command, the guards charged forward!
“Get lost!”
Mo Fan snorted coldly, his demonic energy bursting forth, sending the guards flying. With a wave of his hand, he pulled the self-proclaimed “official” toward him.
The man, terrified, instinctively swung his sword at Mo Fan.
Without blinking, Mo Fan flicked his finger, snapping the blade, then grabbed the man’s neck and vanished from the spot.
When Mo Fan reappeared, he crashed through the adjacent wall, creating a large hole, and tossed the man onto a bed inside.
“Ah…!!”
A man and woman, still entangled in their intimate act, screamed in fright, clinging to each other.
“Tell your people not to disturb this King again, or I’ll eat you all!”
“Also, in broad daylight, cut down on these indecent activities. Instead of fooling around, evacuate the city’s people so they don’t become fodder for that vile demon!”
Mo Fan snorted, leaving his words behind before soaring upward, smashing through layer after layer of the attic’s floors, leaving a massive hole as he burst through the roof…
As Mo Fan flew out of the attic, he saw a giant tail smashing down again!
“Again?”
Mo Fan snorted, spitting out a golden brick that grew in the wind, instantly expanding to two zhang in size.
“Let’s see if your bones are tougher or my golden brick is harder!”
Mo Fan grinned, grabbing a corner of the brick and swinging it fiercely!
Boom!
A deafening explosion erupted above the attic, energy waves rippling outward like ripples on a lake.
The sky roared incessantly, the topmost glazed tiles of the attic shattered, and the towering structure was split in half.
As the attic teetered on the verge of collapse, the City Lord finally escaped with the help of his trusted aides.
As for the woman he was with, she was carried out by two guards, wrapped in a large quilt.
“Snake… such a huge snake!!”
The group, upon exiting the attic, was stunned by the sight of the crimson giant python in the sky.
“Bad news, it’s a snake demon!”
The City Lord, seeing the terrifying python, recalled the “thief’s” words. In fear and anger, he shouted, “Quick, notify the soldiers and officials to evacuate the city’s people!!”
In the sky, Mo Fan battled Poison Fang fiercely.
Poison Fang lashed with his giant tail, while Mo Fan swung his golden brick wildly.
At first, the two demons were evenly matched, but gradually, the scales on Poison Fang’s tail began to shatter, blood seeping out, staining his entire body red.
“Roar!!”
The python roared, sprouting four more ferocious python heads from its neck, all lunging at Mo Fan!
“You think more heads will defeat me?”
“How naive!”
Mo Fan sneered, and with a thought, a golden arrow shot out, piercing all five python heads in the blink of an eye.
Just as Mo Fan thought Poison Fang was done for, the bloody holes in the heads healed at a visible rate, leaving no trace in moments.
“What?!”
Mo Fan’s pupils shrank in shock!
His attack had targeted the heads, a fatal spot for any creature. Even demons couldn’t survive a pierced skull.
From what Mo Fan knew, whether demon soldier or general, the head was a critical weak point!
Yet this giant python defied his expectations. Five heads pierced by the golden arrow, and it was still fine?
“Hahaha… ugly thing, you think you can kill me?”
“Hand over the *Ten Thousand Poison Spirit Body*, or I’ll make you wish you were dead!”
Poison Fang laughed wildly, his five heads lunging at Mo Fan.
“Hmph!”
Mo Fan snorted, spitting out a wave of icy mist.
Divine Ability, Frost!
The mist froze the surrounding air, forming tiny ice beads.
The five python heads charging at him were coated in frost, followed by incessant cracking sounds.
When the heads reached within a zhang of Mo Fan, they could advance no further, frozen into five icy python sculptures.
“Slash!”
Mo Fan spat out a flying sword, darting between the five heads.
The next moment, all five were severed, plummeting to the ground!
Boom—
The headless python, as if drained of strength, fell from the sky, crashing onto the street below, collapsing several buildings.
Mo Fan looked down, noting the area had been cleared, avoiding significant casualties.
But soon, he frowned, realising Qin Changsheng was nowhere to be seen!
“Three-Inch Ding, where’s that human scholar?”
Mo Fan immediately shouted.
“My King, to the east, he fled eastward!”
Three-Inch Ding poked his head out from Mo Fan’s collar, grabbing it excitedly.
Though only a demon soldier, when had he ever witnessed such a thrilling battle?
Compared to the Three Mountains Trial, this was far more intense, and his heart raced with excitement, especially seeing so many humans in this city.
Three-Inch Ding’s mouth watered, and he said, “My King, after we kill these guys, can I eat some blood food?”
“Blood food?”
Mo Fan frowned, not quite understanding.
“The mortals!”
“To us demons, aren’t humans just blood food?”
Three-Inch Ding grinned, nearly drooling.
“Though the two human strongholds were destroyed by Senior Saint King, who’s to say there aren’t other powerful human cultivators in the Southern Borderlands? If you’re not afraid of death, go ahead and eat these mortals! But if you cause trouble, don’t say you’re from Black Wind Mountain.”
Mo Fan’s words made Three-Inch Ding shudder, and he muttered glumly, “Fine, I’ll hold off.”
“Look at your lack of ambition!”
Mo Fan rolled his eyes, saying no more. He prepared to head east to pursue Qin Changsheng, but his pupils suddenly shrank!
