Mo Fan had prior experience in forging demon weapons, so this time, the process felt familiar and smooth.
However, he had no intention of crafting something as crude as before. Instead, based on the method for forging the Bai Clan Sword Pellet gifted by Red Moon, he planned to create a sword pellet, a demon weapon unique to himself!
Initially, Mo Fan thought forging a sword pellet would be troublesome, particularly due to the need for forging flames.
But during the process, he suddenly realised flames were unnecessary. The poison core was already part of his body, so he only needed to imprint his demonic aura onto it.
The forging took half a month.
When Mo Fan finished imprinting, a gleam of intense joy shone in his eyes.
He opened his mouth slightly, and two pellet-like objects flew out, one silver, the other black.
The silver pellet was the sword pellet he had obtained from Bai Daoyuan, once Red Moon’s, the mother of Little Yellow, magical artefact.
The black pellet was the result of his seclusion, forged from the poison core. It was not merely a flying sword but a poisonous one!
Gazing at the small black sword pellet, Mo Fan’s eyes brimmed with delight.
With a thought, the black sword pellet unfolded, transforming into a three-foot-long inky flying sword, exuding a startling poisonous mist!
“This is a true weapon of destruction!” Mo Fan couldn’t help but exclaim.
He knew how terrifying this inky flying sword was!
Its toxicity far surpassed the sword’s physical attack!
With another thought, the three-foot-long inky flying sword morphed again, its ends connecting to form a black flying wheel. Fine, sharp teeth gradually emerged along its edge, like a scythe.
“Disperse!” Mo Fan pointed, and the flying wheel broke into a swarm of fine black needles, rapidly orbiting his body.
“Gather!” Moments later, with a soft command, the dense black needles reassembled into a sword pellet.
“This is my demon weapon!” Mo Fan laughed heartily, thoroughly satisfied with the poison sword pellet.
Initially, he worried he couldn’t refine the poison core into a sword pellet in such a short time, especially since it involved multiple factors, primarily flames.
But because the poison core was part of his body, he skipped many forging steps, succeeding in just half a month.
“Since it’s forged from the poison core, I’ll name you ‘Life and Death’. Once you strike, I can decide the target’s fate!” Mo Fan said with a smile, carefully sensing it. He found that the demon weapon Life and Death was only a high-grade magical artefact.
Yet, Mo Fan felt no disappointment, only growing excitement and anticipation.
According to the Bai Clan Sword Pellet method, this pellet was only in its initial form. With continuous nurturing using his blood, aura, and demonic energy, its quality would surely improve rapidly.
In a way, the sword pellet was a growth-type magical artefact, somewhat akin to a natal artefact.
“It’s time to end my seclusion!” Mo Fan took a deep breath and drew the two sword pellets into his inner space.
As he prepared to leave the seclusion site, he suddenly sensed something and turned to look at a glossy, cyan-coloured glass egg in the corner.
This egg was the one formed by the Seven-Coloured Dragon Loach.
During his seclusion, Mo Fan had left it in the corner, not expecting it to show signs of activity now.
“Is it hatching?” Mo Fan’s heart leapt with joy. With a wave of his hand, demonic power pulled the egg into his grasp. Sensing carefully, he indeed detected movement inside.
“Thump!” “Thump! Thump!” “Thump-thump-thump…!!”
A faint heartbeat sounded, growing clearer. The glass egg began trembling in Mo Fan’s hand.
Mo Fan frowned, wondering whether to set the egg aside, when the shell suddenly cracked. A small head popped out.
Mo Fan looked closely and saw a golden little creature with a round, chubby head that seemed somewhat foolish and cute.
But… was this a dragon loach? Mo Fan was doubtful.
The creature’s head bore no resemblance to a dragon loach’s fish-like head!
If anything, it looked more like a snake’s head, though far less menacing.
“A salamander?” Suddenly, an animal’s image flashed in Mo Fan’s mind, and the resemblance grew stronger.
“Ying ying ying…?” The little creature suddenly made a series of strange noises at Mo Fan.
“…” Mo Fan was speechless. Had he just hatched a ying-ying monster?
The little creature curiously studied Mo Fan, then turned back to gnaw on the eggshell.
The glassy eggshell vanished at a visible rate under its nibbling, gradually revealing its entire body to Mo Fan.
It wasn’t a salamander but a bizarre creature.
Its head resembled a salamander’s, but its body was more snake-like, slightly elongated, covered in fine golden scales, and only as long as a forearm.
“What in the world did this hatch into?” Mo Fan was puzzled, considering whether to swallow it to gain some supernatural ability. But the creature had already eaten the entire eggshell and was now staring at him, yipping “ying ying ying”.
“Stop that noise, it’s annoying!” The cute, milky voice irritated Mo Fan. He had intended to swallow it, but seeing its pitiful, human-like expression as it gazed at him, he hesitated.
“Playing pitiful won’t help. You’re just fodder for my cultivation!” Mo Fan snorted coldly, about to swallow it.
“Ying ying ying…” The little creature swayed, suddenly appearing on Mo Fan’s shoulder, nuzzling his cheek affectionately.
Feeling the cool touch on his cheek, Mo Fan’s heart softened, and he found himself unable to act.
“Damn it, do you think I’m your dad?” Mo Fan grumbled, frustrated.
“Damn it, do you think I’m your dad?” The little creature suddenly mimicked his words, startling Mo Fan.
“Are you copying me?” Mo Fan glared at it.
“Are you copying me?” Sure enough, the creature immediately parroted him.
Mo Fan’s face darkened, and he growled, “Stop copying me, or I’ll swallow you whole!”
“Stop copying me… who am I? Who are you?” The creature tilted its head, looking at Mo Fan curiously, then yipped “ying ying ying” again. Mo Fan noticed two large bulges near its tail.
The bulges grew rapidly, soon forming two sturdy hind legs.
Mo Fan’s eyes lit up. Could this thing keep evolving?
“You don’t remember what you are?” he asked. “Since you don’t know, from now on, you’re called ‘Ying Ying Monster’!”
As he spoke, Mo Fan sensed a powerful aura erupt from the Ying Ying Monster.
It was the aura of a Demon General!
Even more shocking, the creature’s aura was stronger than his own!
This meant the Ying Ying Monster was at least at the late Demon General stage!
Mo Fan was stunned again. He had witnessed its birth.
How long had it been? In just moments, it had become a powerful Demon General!
This seemed utterly unreasonable.
“With late Demon General strength now, what will happen if it evolves further?” Looking at the Ying Ying Monster’s somewhat mismatched body, Mo Fan had a realisation and smiled at it, saying, “I’m Mo Fan, the king of this mountain. If you have nowhere to go, follow me from now on!”
